It depends on whose working in your case....Once the case leaves the NVC, it is no longer belong to them, it is now becomes the consulate case. You need to call the consulate find out if they received your package. You will also get letter from consulate stating to call them to make interviews date using thier numbers provided to you. Philippines	will it be ok for a k1 visa to stop in an asian country?	K1 visa is one entrance to the USA with a direct flight. If you stop in an asian country as a stop over , you can do that in the airport but not leave the airport. Yes you can stop in the ASIAN COUNTRY but if you leave the airport, i.e, HK, then goodluck bailing you out and be prefer to fly back as you just used uyour one ENTRANCE! Then later, for no reason, I notice my remittance account is closed. Maybe cause I wasn't using it enough? I don't know. Going thru a local branch here seemed to be the most secure and cheapest way, but had way too much hassle and sometimes didn't work. Going thru websites was easier, but more expensive. Limits: Lucky Money: $1k/month Xoom: $3k/month Wells Fargo: $3k/day So now I'm trying Xoom and having problems. I tried Citizens bank first, with routing number and account number off my checks, but transaction canceled with no reason. So I contact them and they need to verify my ID with copy of this and that. So ok, I did that, verified my ID, but transactions still canceled. I call up Xoom again asking what the problem is and they said I need to tell my bank to authorize the withdraw. So I call up my bank customer service, and they said go into a local branch to sign authorization. So I go to a local branch, and they are unaware of any papers to sign for authorization. I explained how the websites worked, with routing/account number, etc etc, but my bank insisted that pre-auth is not required if I have the routing and account number. So I asked if there is daily limits? They said no. Went back home and tried my 2nd bank Wells Fargo using checking account routing/account numbers, same problem, withdraw/transfers being rejected. Tried to use Paypal, which is linked to my Citizens Bank and been using that paypal for years now with random ebay shopping. I didn't want to go this route cause its $40-60 fee to send when funds come thru Credit Card or Paypal when transfering from Xoom. But now even Paypal is is flipping out saying that Im spending too much. I hear the post office can offer services, but only up to $2k/day and anything over $1k for single transaction needs paperwork to fill out. I'm not interested in filling out paperwork. I am trying to send a large ($1-3k) at a time. About to start building a house over there for about $10k which might take 3-4 months to build. I assume all this paperwork stuff is ways for the government to find more ways to tax me or something, dunno. Banks and websites getting real paranoid with large amounts of cash. Just same, its not like I'm trying to transfer $100k or anything. Yes, I have more than enough funds in my accounts. My credit cards are used each month, and paid in full, with zero balance again. My credit scores are around 815. What is the problem with using my own cash? Its not like I'm applying for a loan, or lower interest rate. Its cash! I remember long time ago hearing about some bank that has an ATM card that can be used around the world with little or no fee for withdraw. Is that possible? What bank would let me to create an account over here, then maybe FedEx the ATM card to my Filipina so she can withdraw the amount I put in? Are there any other websites that are easy and inexpensive? I'm tired of jumping hoops and paying big fees just for trying to send money. Worse case senario is send more money thru Lucky Money using my credit card and paying the big cash advance fee again, just to get by until I figure this out. Who else sends money to the Philippines? (I bet everyone that is petitioning a Filipina) Whats the best way to send/rec money? Sorry for the long read. We could have had 18th 19th or 20th of this month had we already had her medical but they said she needs that first and it takes 10 days from that to do an interview so the 3rd was the earliest we could get. At least it is not end of April anymore. I relayed the info to my doctor in the states so he can schedule me for exam as soon as we get to the states which will be asap after visa in hand. We will be waiting on the 3rd at the embassy for the visa instead of them mailing it to us. I couldn't believe they had dates still open in March. Wish we would have had the medical completed already. @@@ OH good for youuuuuuuu, I hope everything is alright wiht your medical... I was wondering why you are able to changed your appointment. She was told to return the second day at 10 Am for her vaccinations (2 shots MM R & chickenpox). She didn't need to take the cervical one but I think that is explained in this next portion. When she arrived the second day she was told to go to the second floor for her vaccinations and she sat there for several hours(11-1) waiting for her name to be called. After 3 hours she asked the guard and was told she had to see the doctor again. OMG she thought something was wrong. After almost 3 more hours waiting (now 4PM missed her return flight) she asked the guard again and was quickly seen by the doctor. The doctor told her she was concerned about the OB/GYN info my wife had brought. We are trying to have a baby so she has been getting treatment for poly cystic ovary. The doctor questioned her about it a little then said OK you passed. The doctor kept the OB info and other records my wife had brought along with her passport and told her she would get the records and medical info back at her POE and congratulations. So i guess she will have those added to the packet the Embassy will give her at the interview. The doctor was aware of my situation too because my wife had taken my test result with her. Now, Just the interview to go, 13 days and counting. Glad to hear that everything is going along fine.... one more step and we can kick you guys out of the Philippines, uh....hehehe! I think the TSA do get some type of bonus if they catch something in the luggae or bag. But then I dont blame them , drugs and other stuff can be form into something and u cant even see it in ur bare eyes. It happened in LA, go figure! So we decided to everything ourselves, the run around from getting the CENOMAR, going to the class, to the consulate, all together we save alot of money by dloing ourselve eventhough I didnt have much time to enjoy my vacation but at least I was with my wife through the whole process. Nope, kailangan mga 1 month para sigurado kase meron mga class na u need to attend and him. And ur bf still need to go to consulate to get clearance and will neeed that to apply for marriage license and the class you both have to attend, tHERE IS ALSO 10 days not included the weekend waiting. I am glad I did the 30 days leave and I actually only have 3 days to spare for honeymoon everything else is the waiting time. I also paid off some couple for the class I have to take, they can use the money, so I can attend that mandatory class. I asked them NICELY if I can take their slot for the class and I asked them I will compensate thier time, they both agreed as they not marrying anytime soon, I do cause I was on crunch time. Did you just placed them in a envelope or a folder? Did you also include a table of contents? My wife appt is 21st. She bought a folder and organized it to the manner as submitting to the NVC and also have it label so she can see rigth away. The 1st page consisted of what the NVC received already, 2nd page is all the proven relationship, i.e., chat logged, bills, atm, personal letters, 3rd is the extra copy she needs just in case. Its actually depends on you how easy you want to be. Consulate already have you paperworks except for what you may have not send to NVC. After almost a year of filing and dealing with the USCIS and NVC, now my wife got her VISA on her hand. She actually would have receive it on WED, TUES was her interviewed but they cant find her house and my wife still Manila so it wouldnt matter. But she got a called how to get to her house and she told them. She was so excited she woke me up at 3 am in the morning....lol!Once agin thanks everyone!!! May 8th is her flight ,,, I'll be standing tall waiting to wrap around my arms around her and kisses in the airport. Then you know the rest... the journey continue...a happy one. I filed ours on June 17 for I-130 and Jul 1st for I-129F... yes the processing did went backward instead of forward. Also if you read the USCIS letter addressed to the filers it stated that 2008 filers are double amount compared to 2007. I am pissed off but being pissed off can't change the way their, NVC, system works... its a roller coaster rides... some goes high.. some goes low and some just steady for a sec... but I will be just patiencely piss off waiting...
