There are possible signs that you might be denied if:

1. The passport is returned to you.
2. You werent given a pink slip and they didnt ask you to pay the visa delivery fee.
3. They are scheduling another interview and its with FPU (Fraud Protection Unit).

Dont worry smile.gif. As long as you provided all the requirements and all of them are legit (no counterfeits), you guys should be okay. You dont even have to ask the CO if you are approved or denied, he/she'll tell you him/herself. Its their protocol to do so. You can ask the CO though if you can pick up the visa... it would be entirely up to the CO if he/she would allow it. But if you are asked to pay the visa delivery pay then it will be delivered to you.

On August 2008 List of Requirements for K1 Applicants, theres a portion in there about Document Verification. It states that those applications which are dependent on their marital status has to pay DV. So USEM will have to verify your Authenticated BC and CENOMAR or MC from NSO. DV takes 4-6 weeks (according to Grace and Lorraine from USEM) so it is suggested that you pay the soonest possible time.

But now on the October 2008 List of Requirements for K1 Applicants, they removed the portion about document verification. So now people are confused if theres still DV. It is up to you if you still want to pay DV Php 650.

I thought about that a million times. I do have fears and they arent unfounded. But i dont fear the idea of getting married to my fiance, i was ready the moment i said Yes. Otherwise, i wouldnt have agreed to marry him. I came to realize its the changes and complications that will come after marriage that makes me nervous. Plus, i have to go halfway around the world to be with him makes it even more scary. But Im up for the challenge. smile.gif

Copies are fine. But if you wanna be sure... just to ease your paranoia... (im sorta paranoid too), you can bring the original.

Be sure to bring supporting documents though like ITR, bank statements (savings/stocks/bonds) and w2 or any employment docs that shows his monthly income.

(When she leaves Manila Airport. She needs to pay P750 for terminal and security fee. And P1620 for Travel Tax if you havent paid for it yet when you purchased the ticket.)

Bank statement/summary is actually better than ATM receipts. The former has both your name and info on it while the latter will just have the account number thats not even complete (e.g: XXXXXXX646465421).

Oh one more thing. There are receipts that are printed in thermal paper. Those fade in 2-3 months. Make sure to photocopy those.... so you'll have a copy thats readable. Then you can just staple the original on the photocopy. smile.gif

You need to gather whatever documents you can get your hands on. So YES keep the receipts from western union. As for the ATM receipts, its fine if you didnt keep it. Your fiance can ask for a bank summary. You should get your hands on THAT too. If its a remittance account, it will show your name as the beneficiary.
