First they say DV takes 4-6 weeks. Now its a month or more after DV before the visa will be released. Thats a load of #######.

DOCUMENT VERIFICATION is crucial. You should pay it 6 weeks before your interview, coz DV takes 4-6 weeks to process. There are other DVs that took more than 6 weeks.

*sigh* I paid DV 2 weeks before my interview..... and look at me now. Still waiting for my visa.

I have to wait for my case to be completed at the NVC and forwarded to the USEM before I can pay for the DV, right?
Which of these documents are to be verified?
1.NSO marriage certificate?
2.NSO birth certificate?
3.NBI record clearance?
4.City issued police certificate?

Yeah, thats right. They'll verify your BC and cenomar or marraige certificate.

Sinergy: They process petitions and approve or disapprove it because its their job. It has nothing to do with them personally, its just a job with pay. If some of them dont like what they are doing, they are welcome to resign and they will be replaced by someone else.

PhilippinesSeptember 10, 2008 paid DV
DV could take 4-6 weeks. There are some that went beyond 6 weeks. After DV is done, it might sit on the CO's desks for review.

NSO and USEM has major backlogs. Its causing delays.

Either way, the recipient will be paying taxes based on the value of the stuff you sent.

My fiance sent me $200 worth of IT stuff. I had to pay PhP2400+ for the tax. It was sent thru fed-ex.

Balikbayan boxes are cheaper.

Most cases its Document Verification. NSO and USEM have backlogs or so they claimed.

I wonder if Delbros has backlogs too. Oh that would suck. huh.gif

PhilippinesUSEM call center
When you call the call center, they will say "its under administrative review."

So if its under review by the CO... that means DV is done. But when was DV done? Count 2 weeks after that... could be they'll be releasing your visa. Usually it'll stay with CO for review for 2 weeks.

Not true. Visa application is being processed.
As soon as you pay the visa delivery fee, you will get a tracking number. You can check from the website at that instant. And it will tell you "Shipment in Process at the Embassy".
That simply means the embassy hasnt released the visa yet. That message will change when the embassy releases the visa.

hi ping, ano raw? what u mean not TRUE? ung d pa na process ang visa? or is it processed na pero d pa release ang visa? =) just confused .. thanks ping

Hi jettyglenn smile.gif. Btw, who told you "Under Review" ang case mo?

QUOTE (lostGurl18 @ Oct 16 2008, 11:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
right shipment process in the embassy means its under review within the consulates office who interviewed you. when its released that means visa has been printed..honestly if my husband and my family( dad and my younger sister and dad's relatives) is not here were not going here its really sad ..even in ca or la or else where in the states and more my daughter i left behind..dont wori it will come soon..we pray innocent.gif

Philippinespreparing for visa interview....
You have to look your best so that the moment the CO looks at you.... he/she'll approve it automatically and not have to ask any questions Lol. I dont know if that ever happened before but we can dream, cant we?

Kidding aside, when you step in the USEM. You will be measured and scrutinized (im not sure if thats the right word) from head to toe. The cliche "Dont judge the book by its cover" doesnt apply here. They will judge you with what you wear, how you talk or answer questions, how you carry yourself or how you present yourself, with what documents you brought with you and with any other trivial things they can think of. smile.gif

Philippinesyou better believe it!!!!!!!
sunlyk: Its only PhP 650. tongue.gif If people can afford to pay the visa and medical fees then im sure DV fee wont hurt.

chris4gretchen: Not everyone who paid DV a month before the interview got their visa's a week after. There were a lot who paid a 1-2 months before and still they end up in AR coz of DV. And its not like these people didnt research the k1 process. We do understand the point of the DV. Its just that its a long tedious process... you cant rush NSO... they work on their own time. They dont have a system of doing these DVs in a timely manner. Its just sad everyone has to pay for a few people's mistakes. smile.gif
