jamesnrei: They have to deliver to Davao. On their website, it says 3-5 days so im waiting still *scratches her head*. Im online 24/7. My fingers are glued to the keyboard. Im playing this RPG game thats very addictive. Matt wont let me go back to work coz he wants me to leave asap... remember the halloween costume *giggles*. Jose Rizal: I kinda understand the sentiments. Im 1 week ahead of you on the DV (im not gloating). What i dont understand is if you paid DV earlier... then your docs should have been forwarded to NSO sooner. Like look at boyceedith, she paid DV 5/19 and they only sent her docs to NSO last 9/01. I admire her patience.... truly. If it were me, id be a raving lunatic.... nagging and nagging. But like most applicants in here stated, we dont really know what are their basis are and how they process each case. And they dont seem to like explaining to us how it works dry.gif . As for the picture, when Matt sent the 129-F, he did ask me for pictures (2X2 passport size). Hmmm are you sure you didnt send any pictures? Well anyway, i dont think you should worry about the pictures coz you are done with your interview. Maybe USCIS overlooked it when they approved your fiance's petition coz if they require those pictures they would have sent your fiance an RFE for the passport pictures before they approved it.

As for the waiting time, my DV took 5 weeks (Sept 1 - Oct 3). It was with the CO-under review for 1 week (Oct 6-14). They released the visa October 15. So I have to wait more than 1 month since the day of my interview (Sept 15 - present). Not counting the weekends of course. boyceedith's case was with CO-under review for 3 weeks (Sept 22 - Oct 14). But common practice i think is 2 weeks with CO for review. You are almost done Godismystrength. smile.gif

Im not 100% sure on this but i think that process takes longer and more tedious compared to K1 or CR1/IR1 coz its a limited category. Only a number of visas are available each year.

I suggest just give them whatever document they are asking you to provide.

Im sorry but i think you are on the wrong thread. This one is for K1, K3 and CR1/IR1. We arent familiar with the proceedings of that. I am curious though.

Update on my case.

We tried calling USEM hotline. It was so busy, we waited on hold for more than 10 minutes so we just hung up. I checked the delbros website instead. It says "2008-10-15 11:08:11 SHIPMENT RELEASED BY THE EMBASSY".

So i guess my visa is in transit. Well hopefully its my passport with the visa on it not some letter requesting for more paperwork.

*crossing my fingers (even my toes)*

Okay. We called the embassy, asked what are the results of my DV. They said my DV is completely done (Okay?!). We asked for any updates, they said my case had been reviewed by a CO but my visa hasnt been approved yet. We are asked to call back on Wednesday. They suggested to check delbros next week if the visa has been released (Yeah right?!) and ready for delivery.

I still cant smell my visa, ill be happy when i get it..... for real.

I have one question, why are they so rude when we ask for updates?

I think im not gonna worry about whether or not DV is still on for the next batch of applicants. I can suggest they call in USEM for exact instructions. Better do that than be sorry.

On this link http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html , where the Immigrant and K Visa Applicant Appointment Package/Instructions, specifically Fiance(e) (K1/K2) Visa Applicants’ Interview Preparation Instructions (English) is posted... as of October 2008... they wiped out the portion about document verification.

BUT on this link http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3219.html , it states "Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified."

Both links came from USEM official website so whether or not DV is removed, we dont know. As for applicants who were interviewed before October 2008, most of us submitted CENOMAR and BC issued by NSO and printed on NSO security paper. I was asked to provide those on the initial interview (by the pre-screener). And still they have us go thru DV. Their reason is there are a lot counterfeit BC and CENOMAR going around.

Yeah, which lock are you talking about?

If its locked by its network provider like say for example T-mobile? If so, then you can call them ask for the codes.

If its PIN, call the manufacturer.

If you want it hacked. You need a compatible cable and a software. In most nokia phones, you need to push some buttons too (which is some weird combinations). You will lose the warranty in the process.

If you need to bride a certain staff, then whatever they're releasing might not be legit. So then you would have more problems to deal with in the future.

As for NBI clearance, under remarks... it'll say "No records on file" if you dont have any record.

In the old packet sent to the applicant, under 2. Required Documents, f. NBI Clearance it says....

Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). An official letter of explanation from the NBI is required if an NBI Clearance has any of the following notations: "No Criminal Record," "No Criminal Conviction," "No Pending Case," or "With Derogatory Record."

She just needs to go to any NBI office and ask for a letter of explanation concerning the annotation. Im unsure if you need to pay a fee. If she does, im pretty sure it WONT COST PhP20,000.00.

AND HELL NO, thats NOT NORMAL in here. Maybe its normal to HER to pay people to get things done rather than doing it herself.

They are strict about bribes these days, you could get in trouble for bribing..... more so if you are the one accepting bribes. I say, go to another NBI staff and inquire how to request such letter. No need to bribe anyone. It may take longer but you are sure whatever they give you is legit.
