K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	December '08 Vermont K-1 Filers	Congrats to all December filers who have been approved I'm having such a hard time remaining calm.....I feel so frustrated from the long wait. What I still don't get is that VSC says that it processes in the order received yet there are many with earlier dates who haven't been approved yet and some petitioners with later dates (e.g. late December) who have already been approved....and I don't even have any touches yet. Thay approved your file way faster than they projected and even with the AP you are still ahead of the game... many get through AP in a few days... That's true. I know it might seem like whining, but I just got discouraged when I started reading about others being stuck in AP. I do realize I was truly blessed to be approved so quickly. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Travel with CR1 visa after US POE	Yes, I have all of those forms, I am a collective hoarder and didn't know the differences between the different visa types until recently. I think the I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status and the I-131, Application for Travel Document pertain to K1 or maybe even the IR1 visa. The I-485 is to obtain a conditional green card that is valid for two years and I think the I-131 may be for them as well. I know I have to submit the USCIS I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions of Residence but that is 2 years from our POE date. We'll see who replies, someone has to know. Hi All, I'm new here, but I happend to notice this post and thought it might be helpful to elaborate on the "Application for Travel Document, I-131. The purpose of this is while the I-130 is being processed under a K1 Visa, if your fiance(e) wants to travel back to, say their country of origin for ANY reason, they must have an approved I-131, aka "Advanced Parole (AP). If they do not, and they leave the USA without this, they most likely will not be able to come back to the USA, and you may have to start the whole process all over again!!. Note to Forum Moderator(s), can you add this form to the Downloads page? I was also reading that awesome post on comparisons of K1 vs. K3. vs. I-130 visas, where it refers to the AP as a potential issue or Minus. But, it doesn't offer the solution as to filing a I-131 at the same time that you file the K1. Might be a good idea to add that there? Hope you all don't mind my pointing all this out, being a "noob" here. By the way, many compliments to the site owners and moderators, this is the best No-nonsence web site I've found on the subjects covered. Hats off to you all!! and Thanks!! Im thinking the 2nd DV will have the same results as the 1st DV considering the 1st DV's result is clear and good. Coz i was told by THEM before when we were doing followups that they require 2nd DV only if the results they got from NSO are unclear.... like a reDV. Underage kids are exempted though. You are welcome to join me and jamesnrei or anyone else who wants to go with us. We can have dinner or a night out after. Weeee thats gonna be fun hehe. Ill be flying outta there on the 29th. I have to get there before Halloween . I think it was jamesnrei who mentioned she should be studying but she cant concentrate coz of the whole waiting thing. But she didnt mention what she is studying about... could be a medical license too. Im on a different field. Im a BSAccountancy graduate. I was working on taking my licensure exam here and at the same time working as a Linksys Tech before this whole k1 process. I stopped reviewing coz the license will be entirely useless in the US. And ill be shifting to another career, IT. So ive been studying those instead coz when i move there, ill be getting Cisco certificates... *crossing my fingers*. Ill be going to school too. Theres like 5 associate certifications (CCNA, CCDA, CCNA Security, CCNA Voice and CCNA Wireless) and 5 professional certifications (CCNP, CCDP, CCIP, CCSP and CCVP). Im a geek *giggles* . So im gonna have torrid nosebleeds hahaha. But i find it fun so it wont feel like a lot of work . We arent gonna have kids yet till 2-3 years (hope so) so i have time. Im selfish . I dont really wanna be a stay at home wife..... i dont think that suits me plus id be UBER BORED. I put tags on some shoes and bags before i went to bed... hahaha so anyone who'll come over tomorrow WILL HAVE TO buy. Lol Oh i just became a VJ-er recently, Sept 24. I have to explain im in the Philippines with a US number *sigh*. When she realized that, she automatically went on with her spiel..... "You should call the call center. This is for calls from the US." I begged and insisted and explained its still a long distance call. She gave in... told me they got the "results of my DV but they dont know if its positive or negative coz its very recent". She said something about "not booking airline tickets coz they still have to forward it to the CO and it might take weeks". I was like, " That is very helpful", "I am grateful for the information" and all that. Then she said "my petitioner is welcome to call on Friday for updates." Ha! so i have to kiss her behind.... to get a decent info. Tsk tsk tsk They are so negative. And ill keep saying this, they lack customer service. Even Matt thinks so. Yup yup, that router hehe.
