hi im youngdaddy from texas... i am soooo sad!

im a permanent resident here. i arrived here 4 months ago.. and ive been missing my girlfriend and kids so bad. we are not married and i cant figure out how to petition them.. pls help me.

i am visiting philippines next year and i wonder if im marrying her then file a petition when i get back here? or is it advisable i wait for me to be US citizen then marry her and petition them which is 5 years from now... i dont know which way to go. which one is faster? im longing for them everyday... i got two boys thats waitin for me to play with them. im like a kid crying all the time.

i didnt marry her because of this visa i needed to stay single. that was my case...im sure someone does too.

im not sure if this is the right room... but i need to let it out.

hello please help me...im john and i am an immigrant here in USA. and i arrived here last year. i left my wife-to-be and kids in the philippines.

i will be marrying her this year when i get back there. and now i dont know what to do next for i want them to be here the fastest way possible. though it takes time but i hope there's an option faster.

should i file for K3 visa for her when i get back here in USA? how long is that? whats the priority date for K3? or should i wait to be a US Citizen before i petition her? do u think its the same or wat?

i arrived in US last year and next christmas will be the first time i will be going out of the US...and i am planning to have a 90 days vacation in the Philippines

Now my friend told me that if i would apply for US Citizenship 5 years from now she said USCIS will deduct all the days that im out of the country from the total of days I should be inside USA to be eligible for citizenship.

i have 2 kids in the philippines and wish to spend longer time with them but now that i heard that news i feel limited of my time to visit philippines

is it true? 5 years minus 90 days meaning im still not eligible if time comes...

Just recieved it in the mail for biometrics on 11-04-09. The letter is dated and postmarked 10-19-09.


I havent received mine yet but maybe I'll get it today. I was wondering the same thing too. I'll keep everyone posted.

From what I've been reading, you just get the fingerprinting appointment. I got the email this morning for an RFE as well. Mine said it was mailed on October 15th.



I just checked my email. I got an email at 2 AM this morning that a Request for Additional Evidence was sent on Oct 15.

From what I've been reading, you just get the fingerprinting appointment. I got the email this morning for an RFE as well. Mine said it was mailed on October 15th.

Hi Guys. I had my interview on Friday. It was less than 10 minutes and painless. My IO was the best and we joked around for a while. He aplologized like 5 times for being late. I kept saying its ok and he kept apologizing. He told me before he took me into his office that the interview was going to be quick and I should promise not to laugh when its over. He was God sent to me.

He didnt ask to see anything except my green card, DL and passport. Now I have to wait for my oath letter in the mail. I am so happy that I'm getting closer to ending my relationship with immigration. Will keep everyone posted when I get my oath letter in the mail.

Hi Guys,

I went in for my FP today which took less than 15minutes. My appt was at 3pm but I had just finished with a meeting close by around 1.50pm and thought I's try my luck. Well, the support center was empty!! I just filled out the one page paperwork, took my FPs, got my civics book and I was out of there by 2.20pm and I got there at 2.05pm.

I guess now its just to sit and wait for the interview letter and the yellow letter everyone keeps talking about.

Well, the form does say type or use pen. Safest thing would be to have everything filled in by the website though. So if you got a nice chunk of time before the document actually needs to be prepared, you could just try filling it all out again at your leisure until it finally works and all the data is entered correctly. I don't know about Safari, but Firefox and Chrome usually store previous values of text boxes, so if you press the Down key on your keyboard when in a text box, it should pull up a list of previously input text. Either that, or typing the text sometimes allows the same option.

Doing the above also goes along with bringing up the form to see if they ever update it with a new version. You could pull it up every few days just to make sure it has changed. As far as I know, when they introduce new forms, they usually let you use the previous edition as well, at least for a while. Still, it's something to check into. DS-156K and DS-157 don't "expire" until 11/30/2013.


Regardless of what you do, I'd for sure keep the form you already have and go ahead and write the info in, in case you're not able to fill it out again viz. the web before the interview.

It worked for fiancée finally this morning. She was able to print out the DS-156 form with the barcode and everything =)


I hope it will work now for Caroline + Angelo as well.

I think you're right. Seems to be something wrong with a page, applet, or file on their server. I hope they fix it, my fiancee's interview is Thursday morning Manila time. Otherwise, I expect a white slip... :(

My wife wants to get the police report for the 230, but the website says that they need documentation stating the request. I don't know what I would use for this. I know that i need the report, but the NVC hasn't sent me any requests specifically for that. Maybe I can just send the 230 form requirements or something, but I"m not sure. Anyone obtained a police report from Japan or a country with similar requirements?

I received my paperwork from the NVC with a 3032 copy and the paperwork says that my spouse must sign it and mail it in. I checked the procedures from VisaJourney.com and it talks about emailing the form. That would be ideal since it's harder for my wife to sign it and mail it in, but I was wondering if anyone else had done it that way?

K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports4 months pregnant out of the U.S and waiting for my K-3 or I-130 to be approved!

I doubt you will be able to have the baby in the US.

 

My husband sent our I-130 2 months before we conceived. I am due 11 months after our I-130 was sent and I doubt my visa will be ready by then. Really, it should be ready even sooner, as most companies will not let you fly after 36 weeks (and my US/EU OB/GYNs do not recommend flying after 30 weeks, anyways).

 

I had the option of having the baby in the US on a tourist visa, then coming back home to finish the process. I decided against it. We made plans to have the baby in EU, my husband will take months off of work to be with us (paternity leave, FMLA) and then I will patiently wait out the rest of the process and fly to the US when the baby is 4-5 months old. 

 

I hope you can make similar plans.

From what I read here, the date they show is the latest petition. It could be a difficult case, or maybe they are waiting for RFE, but point is that they are not showing the most recent date in the system, but the latest. I am not sure if I got it correctly, but it my head it makes sense. :lol:

karomba007, I think it is normal you did not get NOA2 in three months, but not normal that you can not see your case online. We were able to see ours as soon as we got an email with case number. 

 

Perhaps USCIS loses case updates when they go to local offices? Maybe someone else will know more. :/

We waited nine months to get NOA2 from Nebraska. They did mess up on their numbers (approving newer petitions to get average processing times down), but someone must have cracked the whip there because our approval came 6 days after they received our RFE. I was pleasantly surprised to see that.

 

Now I gotta see how fast they ship our case to NVC :D
