i cant seem to do the "edit" thing, to add:

and his milk too (maybe 200g box of his formula milk) + bottles and 1.5 L of his water.... dont forget toys too so she'll be occupied.. another tip.. have ur baby eat during take offs and landing so her ears wont hurt.. i mean eat as in have milk, sucking helps w/ getting ear pressure and ear pops.

since the liquid ban they dont allow as much water to bring in the plane even for formula but they have lifted the ban recently and made exceptions like babies are allowed to bring as much water they needed for the formula milk. Before, you have to make advance request from the airline for water for formula... I have a baby boy coming w/ me too, just gonna bring him his bag full of cookies, cereals and food... :D

PhilippinesBig mess I have now

I guess she applied for the authenticated BC and she will have it August 28th. Its to late then, how can she get 1 fast? I have been telling her for months about the bc but she waited way to late and then she got her dates faster than we expected. Can she change her medical and interview dates by like 2 weeks later? I am at my wits end. Its so hard when im 9000 miles away and she gets so confused by all the stuff she needs.

where is she from?? she can get authenticated BC at NSO PASAY (Macapagal AVE.) in hobbies of asia in an hour.. if she go there on tuesday (Monday is holiday) like real early before 7 (they open at 7) she can be the first in line and can get it in an hour like 8am... then there are tricycle outside NSO going to DFA, she can go there after NSO in like 15 mins.. make sure she has her passport w/ her and passport pics of her son.. son doesnt need to go with her, minors doesnt have a personal appearance in getting a passport.. believe me she'll get it done on tuesday and have the passport expidited.. she'll get it by fri. believe me it doable! if u need further info, message me...

PhilippinesBig mess I have now
I got my boy's passport few mos. back and it was easy, they only required for his authenticated BC, my passport (photocopy) and passport pics.. took me like 2 hours (got it in DFA Manila), Tell her to get it on Tuesday since monday is a non-working holiday and have it expedited... it usually takes 5 days... but if u have it expedited for additional PHP250 itll take like 2-3 days or was it overnight? :D Cheer up... u still have a week to do that and can be done.

my fiance asked if a separate W2 is needed? He said, he has 1 page (front and back) of income tax return F-1040 which he filed by himself and he said W2 is done on tax return and now i wonder if we still need the W2 form or is it already in the tax return? sorry if my question is confusing as i am confused myself.. He's sending me the docs the day after tom. and i wanted to make sure we have everything...

What Weng and I thought of doing was to go to the medical early when someone else getting the exam was going . . . we can do that right?

u can go with weng on her medical exam. fiance's are allowed to.

i maybe wrong but i was allowed to bring my mom with us to the medical.. the guard didnt ask about her. oh, maybe they do allow someone when you have a kid with you... that makes sense..

She is staying with a cousin in Manila, and would feel much more confident if someone could go with her.

I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but my searches are not finding an answer. (Maybe I'm just a bad searcher today.)

Thank you!

Hi Larry! We finished our 2 days med. exam today and there's a note in SLEC that says they are open on AUgust 27 (monday). Your fiancee can have her medical exam on monday! I can assure u that since it was posted all over the SLEC. Visa fee is $100 each person, so your fiancee and her son will be $200.

Thanks you very much, how did your medical go?

was good.. We decided to go in around noontime, it went fast and smooth and we were done in 2.5 hours in our first day, i have my son too and the process for him was easy, they only look on his vital stats and physical check up and checked on his vaccine record to see what else he needed. I did print out sillygirl's Medical Procedure (can be found in Sheriff Uling's signature) and it went exactly as it was written. Make sure, your fiancee brought her son's vaccination record. and bring 4 pics each as i thought they only needed 3 (they do need 3 for me and 4 for my son).. And our 2nd day (today) went same time and finished in 2 hours. Just bring everything needed (passport, appointment letter, pics, vaccination record, pen) and everything will go smooth oh i would suggest to bring snacks too as my boy was hyper and cookies and juice made him stop screaming.

hi jj1028. just want to know the size of the pics. is it 2x2? or its a visa size pics? i dont have my packet yet and im planning to have an early medical, have my packet pick up in SLEC

2x2 size and US visa photos are alike.

yep 2x2 n US visa are the same, make sure the bckground is white/off white...

My fiance send me the docs needed for interview thru FedEx. We dont trust the Philippine Postal anymore since we had bad experience with them, USPS is tied up w/ Phil Post, once it reach PI, its under the responsibility of the Philpost already. My fiance once send me a box package filled w/ goodies thru USPS and it arrived like 1.5 mos and he send me a card few mos. back that was lost! Yes, but you can also go for CFO even before receiving the visa.. thats what i did, and they gave me certificate for the counseling/seminar part (took 2 hours), need to go back to CFO for the sticker when i get my passport w/ visa (thats what they put on the passport and cant leave the country w/o it).

Philippinesk1/k2 visa approved 9/11
We've got our k1/k2 visa approval yday, it wasnt that bad at all as someone posted as being such so dont worry much, just relax. Everything went on smooth and easy and we were done by 9:30am (We're on priority since i have my son) Senior citizen and w/ kids will be put into priority so watch out for the queuing board as it goes a bit fast than i expected. First off, a guy going around checking on our forms (dont forget to sign everything) and we were told we can get a ticket number na, and after a while of waiting we were called to have our finger scanning, they didnt take finger scan of my son but the lady look at him (maybe checking if he is the 1 in the picture), we waited a bit and around 8:45am, we were called for our pre-screen, it was a filipina and we mainly converse in tagalog, she asked for some docs such as NBI, bc's, affidavit of support, 2006 1040 and pics. Although she didnt ask for my cenomar I did offer my cenomar and w2 and she gladly accepted it. Thats all she wanted and asked me a few question about my petitioner, his name, age, when did we meet, about my ex (son's father) as she wrote the info down on a paper and check on our paperworks and told me to take a seat and wait for my number again, i waited for about 10 mins and my number flashed on the screen again, i waited outside the consul's room as there is still someone inside, after 3 mins the girl and her son went out and we went in. A nice late 30ish/early 40ish lady consul, i greeted her good morning and she replied good morning back, she asked me to raise my right hand for oath taking, looked at my papers, (i have other proof and stuff ready in the table) she asked me a few question pretty much same as the pre-screener like my who's my petitioner, his age, where does he live, if he ever went to college and what school, where did we meet, whats his job, he asked about my ex too and looked at our pics which i made like a scrapbook, she didnt asked for other proofs (i have a 3/4 thick of clearbook of proofs and j's other stuff like employment letter etc) and after everything she told me "Alright, you're all set" and told me to wait for my name to be called again, i went out and waited like 3 mins and our name was called in number 37 and the guy gave me pink slip (he even take a look closely at our pics) and gave it to me one by one (i have 12 pics, 3 pics every bond paper) and i went to delbros and paid. Left the embassy around 9:30. NO sweat, so guys dont be scared, consul arent that bad just have everything ready and answer their question straightforward. Goodluck to everyone's upcoming interview. good.gif

QUOTE (panda_ner @ Sep 11 2007, 01:08 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi everyone,

YES!! My baby panda had her interview yesterday and was approved! Thank you God! She was able to get a visa pickup at the Embassy as well. Thanks to VisaJourney and all the members here who have helped with their insightful information, advice, and well wishes. Without this site and other site's like this, our journey would probably have been more challenging.

The prescreeners asked her more questions than the actual Consulates. The prescreener was a filipina.
These were most of the questions the prescreener asked her:
  • What is your finace's age, How did we meet, What is his job, How long she has been working abroad
  • NBI Clearance, CENOMAR, Police Clearance
  • Photos, Letters & Cards, and E-mails

I say Consulates because when she interviewed with the COs, there were two of them conducting her interview. I asked her why there were two and she said it seemed like one was training the other. She also told me that the lady next to her also had two COs conducting interviews.
They asked her:
  • What is your name?
  • What is you fiance's name?
  • How did you meet?
Then, that was it! The consular told her to have a seat and wait for her number. She then gave the letter by me requesting for Visa pickup at the Embassy. The CO said he couldn't guarantee it but she was given the pink slip anyways. The CO also stamped "DONE" on all the paperwork. She told me that the other ladies she went with also had the word "DONE" stamped on their paperwork as well--She meet up with four other ladies. Hope this is just the same as approved. I think so because she still walked away with the pink slip! She asked the guard about the pink slip. And, the guard replied that she was very lucky to schedule a pickup. There were very few who got to arrange a pickup. Horray!
My last bit of advice to all those with upcoming interviews is to stay positive, remain calm, be confident, and you will do well. Being overly prepared makes the interview experience A LOT easier than not. Best wishes and good luck to all upcoming interviewees!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!Im so happy for you guys biggrin.gif
