PhilippinesAnnouncement - Got the pink slip!
My fiancee just got home from her interview. She said that she had received the pink slip and she was so confident with her answers. She said even the interviewer laughed while she was sharing the stories to her.

I'm so happy!

A BIG THANK YOU (MARAMING SALAMAT) for everybody for the information!

She is still texting her story to me, hehe. I can't call because she is charging the home phone, hehe!

Praise to God! biggrin.gif

Philippinesdelbros
I don't understand it either. This is the company who is contracted by the U.S. Embassy and their tracking system doesn't work. I've tried every day for almost a week and it's down or throws a SQL Sever error when it attempts to search. Delbros does a horrible job on their website.

Sure it is. Hire an attorney and have your fiance/fiancee get the name of the individual in which he/she has a problem. Report that person to your attorney smile.gif
Most immigration attorneys at least know an individual who works there. My attorney actually owned a travel agency near the Embassy for about 2 years and has been an immigration attorney for 40 years. No doubt, he knows Americans and Filipinos who work in the embassy smile.gif

What I do is go to travelocity.com and expedia.com. From there, go to the carrier's official website and compare prices.
To almost anywhere in the U.S., you can get a flight for $900-$1200, within a week of your departure, if you shop around.

It's BS. We paid for Document Verification back in March and they still didn't verify the docs when my fiancee had her interview last week. My fiancee even called Delbros to confirm they'd received her text, but they obviously didn't do anything. Thank you DELBROS for not doing your job and placing us under AR Document Verification. Delbros does a horrible job!

DELBROS doesn't verify the Docs. Their job is to notify the USEM of payment. The USEM decides when and if doc verification is done.
The reason for calling DELBROS after the text message is to verify the payment confirmation was forwarded to the USEM. Ealier this year DELBROS had many issues with the text confirmation and never notified the Embassy of the payment.

If the USEM decides to do a Doc Verification then DELBROS ships the verifications requests to and from the USEM.

Thank you for the detailed clarification. Ok, I'm not upset at Delbros anymore, just the situation itself.

Oh my, out of service??? How can they do that? headbonk.gif Wow, they are getting rid of callers. A lot were complaining about their text system because it doesn't answer your concerns/questions. They should find a way to accommodate their customers who are paying them enough. I don't like what is happening in DELBROS now. If they are getting rid of customers calling them, they should improve their service and give their customers quality service.

That's the only DELRBOS number I have. I wonder if Loterly's thread about DV is still active. I think there was another DELBROS number posted there.

To add more to the things listed above. Everytime that I've tried to run the tracker, the website is either down, or when it's up, the SQL Server gives an error. UGH!

PhilippinesDoc Verification Warning
QUOTE (edp333 @ Feb 14 2008, 11:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Our visa was delayed due to document verification even though it was payed on January 7th a full month before the interview. A Verification of receiving the text was sent by DELBROS. Today, we contacted DELBROS to find out when they forwarded our Document Verification to the US Embassy Manila. After giving our case number DELBROS discovered the Doc Verification was never sent, so they said it would be sent today. That is a 5 week and 4 day delay. This has caused my wife's visa to be put on AR. Estimated time 4 to 6 weeks.

I strongly suggest you call DELBROS after your text message verification to make sure they have forwarded the information. Nobody wants their visa delayed. The phone number is 2-339-2761.

I told my fiancee to call after she sent her text because she didn't get a reply. They confirmed that it was received but we paid for it back in March and her interview was in late June. Guess what? We are still under AR doc ver. It's BS!

Heh. Reading this thread is so fun! My husband just can't get Tagalog right, though he so wants to learn. The words he can remember are, of course, the "bad" ones. P.I. was the first.
He actually got a phrasebook, which I don't think works that well... When he's in the mood, we have a Tagalog swapping thing in bed before we go to sleep. He usually starts with the "Sa-an po ang kubeta?" biggrin.gif

Here is what I've been using to learn Tagalog. It doesn't teach the spelling, but it teaches you how to say the words correctly because it uses native speakers of the language:

Pimsleur Lanuage Programs: Tagalog (I use the most expensive one because it has additional courses - 32 courses, 30 minutes each so that's 16 hours of Tagalog). If you're interested in this one, there's a person on eBay who sells them really cheap compared to the stores. Let me know if you're interested and I can give you his username. I've bought 1 Tagalog and 2 Spanish courses from him so I haven't had any problems so I doubt you would either.

You can help your husband with the spelling. I use this in combination with the Rosetta Stone, but the Rosetta Stone is only good at building vocabulary, not for conversation. Using them together helps a lot!

PhilippinesDocument verification - What a Screwed Up Mess
It sucks, the entire system of getting a Visa is flawed. If an employer wants to get a worker, they can be approved by the USCIS in 15 days! Yet, if somebody is in LOVE and wants to get MARRIED, we have to wait 6 months? The whole system is ridiculous.

PhilippinesAVOIDING AR DUE TO DOCUMENT VERIFICATION
We paid for Doc Verification back in March and my fiancee had her interview in June. Back in March, my fiancee called and talked to a Delbros person on the phone to confirm the payment was received. They told her that it was. We still ended up under the AR Doc Verification.

Delbros' system is flawed.

I wish you good luck. I hope that you will not end up with the AR Document Verification. It's very upsetting and painful.

I've tried for 2 weeks. The website is either down, or their SQL Server throws an error. Delbros as a whole just sucks. I can't believe our government would work with such a $hitty partner. Actually, yes I can, look at the whole process just to get a Visa for marriage, it's pathetic.

PhilippinesVisa Denial contested...same day
QUOTE (JeffnBhing @ Jun 23 2008, 09:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
We both went to the interview last Wednesday 18th and as I guessed it, arrogant americans working there. At the first interview I am sure the lady decided to deny the visa within the first minute as she turned the light on for the next person almost immediately after Bing entered the room. I do not have enough income. blink.gif

Sure enough at window 36 another lady called our number and announced that we were denied the visa because Bing would become a public charge... I stepped up to the plate and told her of assets and house etc, she announced the papers were irrelevant without a deed, etc etc etc. I insisted she forward the information to someone in a higher position and she did. mad.gif

Window 33 a man called Bings name and we both went there. I again explained that I have assets in excess of whats needed, he asked if anyone asked to review the documents and I told him None asked. I produced more documents, bank deposits, house statements etc and he added things up and was still in question until he asked a knowledgeable Filipino man that clearly said that I have adequate funds and to reverse the denial in the computer. good.gif

The funny thing about it all is since it was decided at the first interview a denial, the rest of the paperwork was not looked at closely. I suppose it would have been reviewed when the visa denial was contested sometime in the future but since it was contested the same day it was not. The I-134 was not signed, employer letter not reviewed, paperwork not looked into. Only thing reviewed during the day after the first interview was bank statements and house statement and tax bill.... The man looked like he was embarrassed that he was unsure how to proceed with a case such as ours.

Low income and no co-sponsor... no biggie. I knew this would be an issue that Bing alone would not know how to contest and planned to fly for the interview. 3 weeks notice made it hard to get things in order but I did. Too bad none of it was looked at LOL whistling.gif

All that is needed is the stamp indicating PDOS was completed (not open today) and we are good to go back to the US on Thursday... What a hectic few weeks we have both been through. I am glad this is almost completed after all this time.

No worries, they will honor the ticket. I've heard it's less expensive too, but I want to make sure that she has simple flights with carriers that I trust as well as hubs that I know and trust, and to me, it's worth the (possible) extra cost.

The Philippines does have a departure fee that must be paid in the Philippine Peso (I would imagine this is covered in the CFO pre-departure course), and of course, she will want to have some money (preferably American currency) to have during her trip in case she wants to make a phone call, have a meal, etc.

I'm currently in northwest Missouri and was looking at flights on Travelocity and Expedia to Kansas City. You can get them for about $1200. The simplest option I saw would fly her straight to Cali (I think Los Angeles) via Philippine Airlines, then to Kansas City via Midwest Airlines. The only thing I didn't like about that path was it's a 13-hour layover in Los Angeles. My plan was to fly to L.A. the night before, surprise her at the airport upon her arrival, and take the same flight to K.C. Of course, I would contact Midwest and explain the situation so that her and I would be able to sit together smile.gif However, it's a cheaper and easier option for me to fly her to Minneapolis and drive up there. I think she'll enjoy seeing some of the Midwest's countryside wink.gif

i found out this morning theres a big lump, went to doctor today and they said there going to do biopsy this friday will it be a problem?thanks

It should not interfere, they are only interested in specific illnesses and/or diseases.. a cyst is only a skin problem which is caused by an in-grown hair alot of the time or shaving underarms with a bad razor that causes sweat glands.. I have a lump in my underarm, a cyst which I will have to have removed. I would recommend you have a minor operation to remove it otherwise it will spread and get infected. Good luck!!

A lump or cyst in the breast could be an indication of cancer. Might want to get that checked out ASAP or at least when you come stateside. Most likely, it is not, but it's always best to care about your health!
It won't be grounds for denial though.

PhilippinesWhite slip, but nothing checked?
Last night, my fiancee informed me that she received a white slip (and a pink slip), but nothing was checkmarked on the white slip. On the slip, it reads "We must review your case before it can be processed further. Please wait for a letter from us telling when you can return to the Embassy with the documents marked above for another appointment. When you have all of the required documents marked above, submit them at window __."

The problem is, there were no documents checked and no number written after "window". So we are confused, now. I called the Embassy and all she could tell me is within 6 weeks, if we do not get the Visa or a letter stating which documents to submit, to contact them again. So does this mean we are on AR document verify? I know we have passed because of the pink slip, but the blank white slip is confusing.

If anybody can explain, we would really appreciate it. Thanks and God bless!

what i meant is for example im listed for june 2 batch =) all those NSO docs like the cenmar, marriage contract and birth certificate of the beneficiary when delbros received the transmittal "or go signal" from the USEm those batches will be sent to NSO altogether every monday morning...and then the results available also in batches will be released every friday afternoon and have it picked up personally by the personel of USEM..the review usually starts at monday so lorraine told me the best time to call for the new status is every tuesday and friday sorry for the confusion

I was told the same. Tuesday and Friday.
