Some of us still get one because "some" prescreeners ask for it, some doesnt. CENOMAR is the one that they verify with the NSO, "document verification". They got it a few weeks ago and my fiancee had to submit her NBI Clearance because her's expired on June 15. They called her on June 30 and she went in that same day to submit the NBI Clearance. I called them just tonight and was told to call again in 1 week. It's been 10 days since she submitted the NBI Clearance. I called just an hour ago and they confirmed they received it on June 30, but I was told to call again in 1 week. It's been 10 days, it's ridiculous. Her interview was June 10, and the USEM called her 2 days ago so we know they're working on the cases in just 3 weeks! As for the cost, it depends on the weight. I sent 0.5 pounds (about 0.25kg) of documents for about $30 using Fedex International Priority service. I sent 4.5 pounds of documents (about 2kg) for about $90 using it as well. It flies to Anchorage, Alaska, then to Subic Bay, and boards the delivery truck in Olongapo. Do this stuff quickly and correctly, and you'll be with your husband in just a few weeks! My fiancee was also frustrated with the fact that she had to return to the Embassy, but I was excited because I know because they contacted her, it means they're working on the case. Philippines	How difficult could it possibly be?	I received an e-mail from my fiancee while I was sleeping regarding the lost NBI Clearance. This has some fantastic news! From my fiancee's e-mail: QUOTE (Romi Lyn's E-mail) Yesterday morning at 9a.m, a person called from the U.S.Embassy and were telling me to submit another NBI Clearance because they couldn't find the new NBI Clearance that I just submitted to them last June 2008. He told me not to go to Window 17,18, 19, or 20 because I went there already and they just didn't take good care of my NBI Cllearance, hehe. So he told me to go directly to Window "_" and look for "Mr. __________" then I asked for his name and he said, "I'm Mr. _________" then he added, "Remember, don't go to those Window, proceed to me directly at Window _, ok?" then I said, "OK." I went there at the U.S.Embassy, I got there at 1 p.m. I went to "Window _" told the woman that Mr. __________ called me, she asked for my name and told me to wait for a minute. After 2 minutes, I was called to proceed to Window "_" and there was a man waiting there. He introduced himself saying, "I'm Mr. __________, I'm the one who called to you yesterday." then he said, "We're sorry that we couldn't find your NBI Clearance and that we just had to ask you to submit another one 1 than to spend so many times trying to find the NBI CLearance that you already sent to us." I gave my NBI Clearance to Mr. ___________ then he said, "Your fiance called here and it's embarassing on our part, I'll send this right away to the high officer and you just have to wait for the delivery of your visa." Sounds as if they are going to take care of the problem. I'd already sent the faxes yesterday, so I'll have to be sure to mail each of them a wedding photo with a personalized note to thank them for the help (even if they don't do anything, I may never know). I couldn't get 2 of them to go through so I will just hold back for now, but this is great news! I hope she can get the Visa sometimes by at least Saturday and she can be here next week! I'd be so happy! I guess, just be sure that you're constantly following-up! They are paying attention, even if it's a slow process. If my phone call next Friday morning doesn't yield positive results, I'm going to write to both U.S. Senators in Texas, the Senator for whom my cousin will have his internship this Fall, as well as everybody on the list above provided by JSRF. I was checking cases of other members who have "similar timelines" to mine, yet some of them were able to get married in almost half the time that it's take for us just to get delivery of the Visa! I haven't broke down and cried in a few months, and if my sister weren't here right now, I'd be hysterical, lol Thanks for the help and support. Philippines	How difficult could it possibly be?	My fiancee provided a CENOMAR and all other required paperwork on her June 10 interview. We still ended up under the dreaded AR Document Verification. They sent a request for a CENOMAR and it arrived on June 27. A few weeks ago, and my fiancee had to submit her NBI Clearance because her's expired on June 15; after it expired, she went to get a new one in case she would need it. They called her on June 30 and she went in that same day to submit the NBI Clearance. I called them just tonight and the person said it seemed odd that she submitted it so quickly. I just told her that she had renewed it and went in the same day that she was called. I was told to call again in 1 week but she couldn't guarantee that the paperwork would be finished. She just said "The caseworker is checking on something." I asked her if that means we need to submit more documents or not, but she said not at this time. It's been 10 days since she submitted the NBI Clearance. Why does it take so long? They have the damn paperwork, why can't they just approve her and let us get on with our lives? Who are THEY to judge who WE are allowed to be with? I REALLY wish that I'd of kept a daily diary of this whole process. I would write a book and not stop until it became a #1 seller on the NY Times and Oprah's book of the month club. It's just f'ing BS what we have to go through to get married! My cousin is going to be an intern for a U.S. Senator in the next coming months. I can fly my fiancee to Narita (Tokyo), straight into San Antonio, TX for about $950 U.S. including all taxes and fees! Thanks for the info! Philippines	Approved for printing!	Got the good news just a few moments ago when I called the Embassy. My fiancee's Visa has been approved for printing! They said it may not print today but to call again on Tuesday for an update. I'm hoping it will print today and she can get it tomorrow. If so, I'll book her a flight for the following weekend. Philippines	visa not on hand	Call this number (if you are the petitioner) from the States and this office can give you more details: 011-63-2-301-2000, then 7, then 5184, then when the recorded message says the person is already on the phone, press 0 so you won't be re-dialing the numbers constantly. You will speak with either Grace or Lorraine, they are very nice and helpful. They also contact your case worker or DELBROS for you. I know they helped my case because a high official told my fiancee he knew I was calling and were embarrassed by the situation, haha. Have your case number ready!
