IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2012	We did not have the doctor's report, only the letter, a note where he restricted my wife some few things and a paper from the emergency room were she was admitted twice. Oh, there's where I didn't understand. Sorry - I thought before, you said there was a doctor's report. A more specific letter can only help, right? I hope they give her one without too much grief! I knew there was soemthing wrong with that letter, it does not have weight, i doubt that the embassy approve it. I am waiting for my wife to wake up so i can have her call her doctor so that they can be more specific. After i will see if i can send it via email today. I hope they will take it into account Even with the doctor's report from before? if you have a doctor's report it should list all the problems...but if you can get a better letter, it might be a good idea. I told her that last night over the phone, i am waiting for her to wake up, as she is off, and go to their office. I am going to call them now, to tell them that the request is already under review and that would not like a negative decision is taken before their involvement Oh good! She's off - she can sleep a bit longer, make sure she's feeling pretty good, and then go and get it done this morning. I'm really hopeful for you two - really hope they can get this done for you! Being pregnant has its advantages it saved me a few bucks. Didn't have to do the xray and I wont have to do it later on either. I spent the money on a new lego set for my son instead. In all the medical exam took about 45 for the both of us together. Now it's just the interview left! :-D that's amazing - congratulations!!! Their office is not far from my wife's house at all, i was thinking about having her gone to their office to sign the authorization form right away so they can start involving quickly If she can go to their office, she should. So i started asking her that i was sent an email by NVC saying that my expedite request is currently under review. She said that it has been forwarded to the embassy in my country and the final decision will come from them! Yes, that's exactly how it works! if you contact your senator, they can also talk to the embassy - they do that by dealing with the state department (that's what our congressman said, so I assume the senator can do the same). if your senator pushes properly, you shouldn't have any problems! That is why I am wondering if they provide a negative decision if the senator could do something I'm not sure on that one, actually. They may be able to help if your request gets rejected. My thought is - you've requested the expedite and it's being reviewed so that's good. Getting the papers to the senator fast, and explaining that the expedite is under review now so you need urgent help would also be a good idea. That would really help! The senator s office called my wife and they got our email but they said to my wife they are going to mail a form to her house so that she can sign and authorize them to make the follow up.... Yes, that form is very important. Our congressman had us fill out one too. It's a privacy release form, meaning they can talk to your wife and ask the government things. I was struck dumb, so he filled in the silence: "Literally 10 seconds ago, we completed your case!" Found my voice again. "So you mean the next step is to schedule my interview?" And he responded that they'll schedule the interview with the embassy in Kingston and email both myself and the Petitioner. I'm SO, SO, SO, SO thankful to the Lord. Look at my signature: my case was completed on the 1-month anniversary of it being received at NVC. I BELIEVE in Skype. Skype is what has kept my husband and I communicating day in, day out, night in, night out. Thank God for Skype, Magic Jack, and Blackberry Messenger. We're also thankful for overseas calling plans and calling cards. Sheeshkabelle, you guys aren't alone... my husband and I spend hours together doing our separate things and then talking about it... on Skype! It's so bad that one day he was looking for something and yelled my name to help him look for it, forgetting that this wasn't one of my visits! ...Not even for love huh That's a BEAUTIFUL post... and I identify with what you're saying. This is such a unique journey - it's so comforting to find a community of people who know EXACTLY what you're going through, who offer help and advice, and who are generally understanding and non-judgmental. I think I'm gonna miss THIS thread when my case is complete, interview date set, visa approved and in hand... what do y'all say, REUNION anyone??? If it does appear, and it clears, make sure you bring the receipt to the interview so they know you paid it, so you don't pay the IV fee twice. That was kind of my thought. For a while I couldn't log on here and read things during the USCIS stage. We had such a long wait, I hated seeing people that filed months after us getting NOA2s, flying through NVC, and getting interviews, while we sat in CSC. (for the past year, we have been the longest to get through USCIS, with out an RFE) It got to the point we doubted ourselves. That we made the wrong decision and I should have kept my application for PR in Canada going. It took forever to get through USCIS, but there was a silver lining to that. Darnell, of all people (LOL), pointed out. Because it took so long we could get an IR-1 visa and tell USCIS to stuff it for the next 10 years. Or we could file for his citizenship after three years of his IR-1, and tell USCIS to stuff it for good! Then I started to cheer up. I started to make friends, I found an awesome kindred spirit in Shell. I have someone to share triumphs with, and someone to cry with me. I have a whole community of people that UNDERSTAND!! Sure, your family backs you up, but they don't understand. They don't know what it's like, the paperwork, the stress. When I see people getting their NOA2, their cases complete, getting interviews it makes me happy. I get excited for them! They now have their happy ending. Eventually we all will have ours too! Awwwww....I'm gettin misty eyed! I dont' know what I'd have done if you hadn't popped up - you're amazingly knowledgeable AND just an all around awesome person. Our friends and family laugh at us when we tell them that we eat together, watch tv/movies together, sleep together, etc. When Carl was putting our I-130 package together, I was on cam with him and we went through everything together to make sure we hadn't missed/forgotten anything. I'm just glad the technology is there. It certainly isn't the same as actually BEING together, but for sure this process would be so much harder without being able to SEE one another every day. That's exactly what we do!!! We see each other happy, sad, sleeping, eating, going through papers...I just know I need to share my life with my other half, so we do what we can I just want everyone to know how much coming to this forum helps. Even the difficult situations some are having can prepare 'you' for what might come up with your own case, feel for those who are experiencing things that you know won't (a pregnancy close to term and possibly not being there for the arrival of their child, etc.). The smooth ones give hope for the same experience! I get so excited for those of you who are so close to the end of this process and know it's how I'll feel for myself when I'm at that point. You're a fantastic group of people and the support and information found here is invaluable. Have a great day everyone! Well said! Mr. Sheeshka and I spend our entire evenings and weekends with Skype on. At night we both go to bed and talk on the phone until we fall asleep. With the two hour time difference, he usually listens to me sleep. He has said it's hard for him to fall asleep now with out a phone jammed between his head and the pillow! There's been more than one occasion my alarm goes off at 5:30 and wakes him up at 3:30! LOL sometimes Trav's alarm wakes me up through my skype headset!!!! GRRRR!!! I don't wanna be up at 4:30! Sue herself won't write you, but you should get a response later today or tomorrow. It'll come to your email. You'll be told that they're reviewing your request. After that, you can call NVC and ask if they have news on your expedite, just like you call about your interview dates. You really need to call every day about this!
