IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2012	For me, i have been told there is no more, but for my expedite the operator says if it is approved, i will get one! When you call NVC do they tell you that there is no more May available? Actually, I can't even call NVC anymore - they haven't had my case since last Thursday, because it's been sent to the embassy in Montreal! I can only call DoS now, and normally they're very nice. They told me Friday that the embassy did have my case, but this morning the lady sounded confused. Just keep calling DOS each day as they're the only source you can call at the moment. You can also try emailing Montreal, but it might be a few days to hear back from them as they're slow to respond to emails. Thanks. I worry too much, and the DoS operator sounded just like some of the unhelpful NVC ones this morning. Oh well. Will keep calling and if nothing by Wednesday, may email. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2012	Ok if it will take 10 days it will be better for, my wife has another appointment with her doctor this wednesday, she was gonna get more evidence from him, like some copies of her medical record. Do you think that we can email them to NVC ? Will they take these new evidence into account? If you can get more evidence, definitely send it to NVC as well as to the senator! Make sure to write a letter that says you have further evidence from your doctor supporting your expedite request, and tell them what day you submitted it. Make sure they know it's urgent! Just ask them "I would like to know the status of my expedite - was it approved or denied?" That's what I asked, every day. I called in the evenings, if that helps. How will you be notified of your interview date? Will the NVC operators be able to tell you once it is scheduled? I figured that's why I was left off the list My case is different from the others, so I can't offer much help - but I'll help with what I know (and today, that seems to be the importance of being careful and of speaking very slowly when calling DoS lol). As for being notified of my interview date - I have no clue how that will happen. Since the expedite was approved, I'm actually nervous that somehow the case will end up falling through the cracks and that will be that. There's no real documentation of exactly what happens after an expedite. Been searching for answers and no one really seems to have any - this is like flying blind! I know of Rujby, bahialove, sheeshkabelle, and I'm sure there are others. If the NVC is truly done booking May interviews and you have to wait until next month to find out your interview date are you ok with that? What if there were still May interview slots at your embassy and the NVC still does not book you an interview? I'm traveling today so I won't be able to call the NVC until later tonight, but I would like to find out if the operators are telling people in our situation that we will have to wait until next month to get an interview date. I don't know about this but I do know at least one of the DoS operators is incapable of making any sense. Interview Date Results 5. Visa Packet Sent 6. Status of AP So when you call in to the DoS Hotline, and inquire about the status of the casefile, listen for one of the above. Then you can figure out 'where you are'. excellent information - stealing it for personal use Had no idea what all they knew, when I was calling - this helps a lot! Called NVC again, Riley told me that today is day 15 so wait till Monday and it should have a case number, if it doesn't we will be able to investigate further and let you know how to proceed. ...was Riley nice to you at least? Whenever I called DOS about my interview date, they said I would have to wait for NVC to ship my case to Montreal before a date was assigned. I'm like Interview dates get scheduled first, then the case gets shipped out. So, perhaps the operator you got was confused and thought everyone could schedule their own dates at Montreal, when in fact, it's currently just K-1 applicants. That makes sense. I asked her kind of incredulously "even for CR-1 visas?!?!?!" Anyone can get to it though through CSC. I would NOT recommend scheduling one though as it will most likely cause major issues. Plus, the only available dates (unless someone recently cancelled) will most likely be in June and beyond. After the issues already on my file - that's why I closed the page LOL. It happened mostly when i did something unintentionally or when she is crying. She knows i do not like when she is crying but she does not let me know. When i find out through her tone of voice, i have to almost kneel down so she can finally tell me why she is crying. Mostly it is for the baby, when baby is kiciking her too hard When I get quiet and sad on Trav, usually it's because I don't want him to feel bad that anything's wrong. It's a hard process, and sometimes things will go wrong, and I feel bad for being so emotional. He can read me like a book though, and he knows I feel better once I just talk to him. It sounds like it's the same for you and your wife too That's really special. I'm trying harder to just tell Trav when something's on my mind BEFORE I get sad, and he appreciates it - I'm sure after the baby's born, once your little family is reunited, your wife will find it easier too! I called today and Frank said that it could take 5 to 7 weeks for us to have any record of it. Today marks 15 business days, still no number. Yesterday I tried calling USCIS and they transfered me to some supervisor but I was on hold for 30 minutes before I decided to call it quits. So Frustrated! Oh no, you got Frankbot. He can put his arm back on...you can't. He can also read a script really well - or not! You should be getting it soon - it took us about 15 business days to get a number. I also told her to get a copy of all the medical information from the doctor, she forgot to as she was under pressure when they were making some tests on the baby. Be easy on her - sometimes the hormones in pregnant women make you forget things! My sisters all could barely be trusted to remember their own NAMES, I swear! (Ok I'm kidding there, but I hope you get my point - pregnancy makes you do silly things). Talk calmly with her this morning, and get her to make a list of what she needs from the doctor - that way she can get exactly what she needs just by handing him the list! Oh, there's where I didn't understand. Sorry - I thought before, you said there was a doctor's report. A more specific letter can only help, right? I hope they give her one without too much grief!
