IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2012	Well people i am being proactive, i was just on the phone with one of NJ Senator's office. The lady responsible for immigration cases sounded nice and willing to help. She ask us to send them a letter of requesting them assistance and she said she will make the follow up by requesting an expedite on our behalf. I insisted with her that our case is completed and that we only need to get an interview in May as my wife struggling hard to go to work, sometimes obliged to call out as she can not drive, her feet are heavy and having other pain. I can t predict they will do something but apparently she was touched while i was talking to her and told me she needed a letter from my wife and we will send her as well the doctor's letter. Their office is not far from my wife's house. I would like her to go and meet with her so they can be more touched and make the ncessary follow up. Once a supervisor got a hold of the whole thing, she said that yes, my I-864 was filled out wrong (marking employed as a student) but that shouldn't have generated a checklist since I had 0.00 for income and included tax transcripts for 2011. She said as soon as the person saw I had 0.00 for current income, they should have went straight to the joint sponsors paperwork. And their stuff was fine. She apologized for the confusion and delay and said she'd fix everything right away. (8:30am) At 12:30 I came home to find the case complete email, it was sent at 11:27am. Oh that's awesome! I guarantee your AOS will be approved by then. I called the next day after I got that email (i got mine late at night) and the next morning they told me about the stupid checklist. OK. Hehe, t-shirts!! How are they coming by the way? If you don't know already, I am VERY excited about getting mine I'm ironing the transfers onto the t-shirts tonight, after supper! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2012	So tempted to call But I'm thinking impersonating you at NVC might be illegal, and I'd rather not have any troubles with my ROC and citizenship I know you're hurting, but you really have to stay POSITIVE and FEEL GOOD, and good things will come to you. Although your case isn't in a desirable position right now, just remember the other things around you that you are grateful for (Trav, food, bed to sleep in, roof over your head, etc). If you do this, you should be able to laugh at how, in a few years, this current predicament will be nothing but a short paragraph in the book of your lives, that although it might seem ridiculously horrible now, shortly, you won't even remember it and it's not worth stressing over. I think you're right on the legalities, and it would SUCK to wreck both of our files (which it would inevitably do...heh) Truthfully, the status changing to "Paid" helped, but when I say not expecting things anymore - I just mean I'm trying to ignore that stuff for a bit, you know...till Friday when new invoices should come out If I let this stuff take over my life, I can obsess like nobody's business - and there's more to life than this stuff. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2012	Seriously, if you don't get that expedite approved, and by the end of this week, I'm going to start calling NVC for you I think in the year and a half that I've been here, your case is the most ridiculous I've seen at NVC. I've seen hiccups, sure, but yours is something else entirely. Excluding the expedite for a moment, if all goes well (and this might be pushing it with your case ), they should accept your AOS this week. Then, once they release the IV invoices on Friday, yours should appear as PAID early next week, and if you send in the IV package and complete the DS-260 asap, you should have a CC by the end of next week or early the week after. Then, an interview sometime in late June/early July. Now, if your expedite is approved, expect an interview probably in late May or early June.... LOL...hey, if you want to start calling I'll give you the details (I realize you're kidding but the thought of someone else getting to yell at riley on my behalf makes me quite happy...) Trav was talking about starting a petition. Not sure what good that would do, but if it makes him feel better why not - right? I think you're the record holder for the amount of checklists you've gotten Hopefully, now that they have payment of the AOS, they'll actually review it, and accept it. No news on the expedite request yet? Maybe that congressman can help in some way, as your case is getting ridiculous. Oh boy, I sure am going to be pushy ...in tough spots, I start ramming facts down people's throats so I hope they like the taste of paper! Maybe I'll update my timeline to reflect the record holder of checklists LOL! No news on the expedite either, they said that Montreal just hasn't got back to them yet and at this point I'm beyond caring anymore. Just fix my freakin file, and get me home before September please. The case is getting ridiculous, and I'm not sure what more we can do to make them understand that (if anything). Send that AOS again and hopefully they'll accept it this damn time Oddly, I got a checklist last Friday saying that our AOS was accepted, they were just waiting for the payment. Yet another reminder that Riley hasn't got a clue what she's talking about! I resent it about a hour ago anyway...if they can't be organized I will delight in throwing as much paper at them as I can. I kept thinking I was going to have to "press 1" (or something) to move to the next message. The AVR hasn't been an option since we got our NOA2, but I'm wondering if he's the voice they used for it! So...if you call, I will pray! Hi All! Emily and I have had some great news in the past week. She's pregnant...with twins!! It's safe to say that I am as excited and as scared as I have ever been. Our interview is scheduled in London for May 29th at the moment, and obviously we'd like to be together as quickly as possible. So questions...1)I know pregnancy doesn't qualify you for an expedite, but does twins change this? She's right - send it anyway. If you get the expedite, you'll get in when the Embassy can squeeze you in. What have you got to lose? Nothing - but you could get a faster interview. I laughed after and as I walked away. I tried my best not to look back at him, but I had to... just as he looked back at me. Brutal. Whenever I flew back from seeing him, by the time I was at my gate he'd be texting me from the car saying being alone in it feels weird. And that coming back to an empty home and bed was even worse. It's heart breaking at the time, but I've found over the years that it's just the recovery period which quickens. I miss him like crazy lately, because everything is so close yet so far I understand completely. My husband's taken to sending happy texts only...but the second I hear "I'm home", and I know that I'm not there with him, I'm all busted up inside. Gotta develop a thicker skin...gah! Anyway, as sheeshkabelle reminded me last night - tomorrow is another day. And like you said - yes, the recovery time quickens...this will be a much better day (not perfect, because the one person who gives me the best hugs I've had isn't here but at least now I remember how FABULOUS his hugs are!) I left him in Egypt last Sept 9 and it was so hard... i was crying my heart out the whole drive to the airport... i couldnt handle that again thats why i dont plan to go back until he can come here... this process is mentally draining... not to mention the physical drains life/work cause every day Thanks for the encouragement. you're right, goodbyes are the worst! Lisa in DOS confirmed that and was kinda surprised they didn't issue it last Friday, what ever that supposed to mean. she said they are probably busy in Casablanca and that why it took longer..Anyway, email to follow, should be getting it late afternoon. My wife is thrilled but we both overcome the excitement. On hold with NVC to re-confirm (5 minutes). I'll let sheeshkabelle to do the honor of smillies' dances...
