IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2012	River walk sounds really good.Ya Ziplining was fun and Whistler is very nice.Its a small town up on the hills,snow all over.We also did snow mobile.It was fun. I know flights are getting expensive but if i find any good deal i will let you know. Yeah, flights are getting expensive...we've got some cushion but not TONS, and most of our flights are going to be kind of last minute bookings which is LAME. I just want to pay my bills so i can get an interview date and get the ball rolling!! Apparently, even though I was able to fill out and submit the DS-261 last Thursday before my SIF, they haven't requested my choice of agent yet??? And there's no system problem holding up any invoices but I'm free to call back next Monday if I haven't received anything by then??? Losing patience...I'm going to go try and work (fat chance), and try not to cry (again, fat chance). Also going to try and NOT tell my husband to sell his stuff and just get here. Essentially as a rule they tell people they only schedule during week 2 of a month, because they take each month as it comes and dependant on load for a particular embassy they do start earlier, but as ever it's fluid and the only rule they have is that it does start on the 2nd week on the month. No real help- but she was empathetic and told me to keep callin and asking, incase. Let's hear it for Irene - that's good information! She certainly was lovely, lol... Some people seem to get an unusual amount of kicks by making others miserable. .. Guilty. But I didn't do it that dramatically... But I did start my own thread.. it had been forever, I was excited! The people that mentioned their 'encouragement' of "oh we only had to wait (30 days, 40 days 4 months, 5 months) I know yours is taking so long..." in every thread about waiting that annoyed me. 'goway fool, you're not even a June filer!' Hey now, I kind of think you of all people were entitled to a little more than normal excitement! After what your case went through, come on now...lol I was almost more excited for YOU than for me! I think our NOA2s came within minutes of each other too...how cool was that?! Just found a really cool tool that helped me with some blue spots on the application (as well as on my scanned passport pic). It's free, it's fast, and it WORKS - amazingly well! http://www.pdfescape.com for reference - here's a quick guide of how you can edit your PDF document, for free: - make the choice to continue for free on the main page if you have to. - select the option to upload a PDF, and pick your file from your computer. - edit away! Whiteout feature cleans up smudges, etc. Text lets you fill whatever you want right in the document. I didn't play with any other ones though Then, to download the edited version BACK to your computer, just select the green down arrow button on the left side of the page. Quick and painless! Two huge !!!! ***edit: I thought I should mention - used this to clean blue smudges that the scanner left on the scanned image of my passport pictures. They look IMMACULATE now. Back at the USCIS stage, my time was spent making charts and graphs, I have like 4 spreadsheets where I had my own predictions and such but now that I have my NOA2, I just don't feel like doing that anymore. When we looked last month for round trip tickets to Montreal they were about $650 a piece, now they're up to $700 for me and $800 for Trent. Calgary slapped a huge airport fee because they're redoing the terminals and building new runways. And with Air Canada threatening to go on strike, West Jet decided they'd take advantage of that cash cow... The first time I flew to Calgary in 2006 I got a round trip ticket for $430.00 including taxes and fees... I have no idea what's going on with any of these sites. Just two weeks ago, they were fine, and prices were about $600. But I was waiting for our tax refund so I can buy it. Now... Wow...really? That scares me a little bit for flights to Toronto and Montreal...let alone getting home... And oh no, I was probably better off NOT knowing the site LOL...I've been meaning to try the spread...they make a sandwich/bagel spreadable thing that is made out of ground up Delta cookies! On Delta, it's over $1000 So, I'm gonna wait it out a bit. My credit card limit is only $800, so I have to wait for prices to get lower. And yes, I love their cookies! I was hesitant on my first Delta flight to eat them as I don't usually like plain cookies (chocolate rocks), but once I took a bite, I was happy Really? I should be buying my plane tickets within the next few weeks. Expedia and Travelocity have completely messed up on me with those dates. It used to be Delta flights from here to Montreal and back. But as of a week ago, Travelocity is saying there are no flights on my selected dates (none at all) whereas Expedia gives me some, but they're more expensive and not with Delta *sigh* Waiting until whatever is going on gets fixed... you ever just go direct to Delta.com? I find I get better deals and more selection that way...I rarely use the discount websites anymore... Oh, and if you like the delta cookies I know where to order them! When I log on the Electronic Document page I get a message at the top of the screen: The next step in the Immigrant Visa process is for the applicant to pay the Immigrant Visa Application fee. The principal applicant (or the principal applicant’s agent) will receive an Immigrant Visa Fee Processing Fee Bill Invoice from the National Visa Center. If an Immigrant Visa Fee Processing Fee Bill Invoice has been sent from the NVC, you may pay any outstanding Immigrant Visa Application fee by clicking on the Pay button below. Please note that until the principal applicant’s Immigrant Visa Application Fee has been paid, no further action can be taken by the NVC. The AOS folder is not grayed out and I have a blue pay button and I can click it. Beside the blut pay button says "Not Paid". At the bottom the page says: Number of IV Fees: 1 Paid: 0 In Process: 0 Not Paid: 0 So I click on the blue pay hyperlink and I get taken back to the payment portal and there's the AOS with my full name but still says "Not invoiced" NVC is about to drive me mad!!
