The operator wasn't able to provide me with an IIN# yet, because the case was just entered last night. I provided my email address as well as my wife's email address. I was advised that I would receive an email from NVC with my IIN# soon. I know some have called back later to obtain this number so I will try that later today. My NOA2 date for both cases was 3/2/12 and NVC received the cases on 3/12/12. I know there are a few others with these same dates so you should call now as well! REALLY?! That's my dates! I'll be calling over lunch - you MAY have just made my day! Oh...and most importantly - CONGRATS!!!! YAY! I'll call in a little bit and see if we have one too! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2012	NVC says that will take 20 days and it actually takes 10 or less. USCIS says that will take 5 months and it actually takes 6 or more. (at least for me and many other June/July/Aug 2011 filers) I was just making a random comment because it seems that's all they ever say to anyone, regardless what stage they are in along the process. USCIS...ugh, yeah it was about that long here too. On an unrelated topic, but still to due with my wife, I submitted a W-7 along with my 2011 tax return 3 weeks ago. I was told by the IRS accepting agent that the W-7 application for an ITIN would take 8-10 weeks this time of year and that once that is done the return will take 6-8 weeks because it is a paper return. I received her ITIN in the mail yesterday and the IRS website says I should get my refund before the end of April. Good to know! My husband did the same thing but we had no real idea when to expect the return. This is good info! I would rather have them overestimate the time and deliver early than take longer than they said it would. Those extra 2 months of waiting for USCIS were terrible for me and my wife. At the same time, from when our case was received by NVC, the timelines I'd been following have shown that that's about the time it's been taking. I could be wrong though! Won't give you any lessons on the virtues of patience though. Hang in there, before you know it, you'll be outta NVC. LOL yeah, in my line of work we're very results-driven. Use that, multiplied by 26, just like Matt & Rocio said. It's way easier. Your calculation will be ok as long as you have proof - that's my big point. Gotta be able to prove it, and you can with your letter. Although, NVC may get confused and/or stuck on the "year to date earnings" listed, since they're slightly different than the 960.00 biweekly salary. Be prepared...
