Visa aprobada el 25 de Julio y la reclame en DHL el 2 de Agosto.   Hola niñas, les quería comentar sobre mi experiencia en el laborTorio y con el médico! Primero que todo par el lab es mejor a estén allá antesitos de las 7 am porque después se hace una fila horrible, yo tenía mi cit el mimo día con el Dr. Dennis a las 3:30. Fue muy querido, yo no llevaba ninguna prueba de que me había dado varicela y sin embargo no me mando esa vacuna, sólo me pregunto que como estaba sabía que efectivamente me había dado varicela y ya. Además pues de un montón de preguntas que hacen pero todas Muy normales. Para la cita les aconsejo que vayan sin afán, porque literalmente se va tod la tarde esperando. Yo salí casi a las 7:00. Asi que se demoro 8 dias desde mi entrevista para poder reclamarlo.   Otra vez les recomiendo a las que tienen muchas preguntas que lean la guia que escribi para visas K1 en Colombia que aparece ahi abajito... Y sí, las formas se llenan todas en ingles.   Suerte a las que tienen entrevista en estos dias! Esten muy seguras de que todo va a salir bien. Pones tu cedula   2. en la 32 y 33 que preguntan que si intento trabajar y estudiar en U.S.  coloco que si pero que aun no tengo una universidad y trabajo conocido Si, como en los ejemplos de VJ   Formulario DS 230 1. en la pregunta 33, donde preguntan list beloco all educational institutions attended. primero va el nombre de la institucion, segundo fecha de inicio y terminacion de los estudios, despues curso de estudio (que va hay) y por ultimo titulo o diploma. ah y en el caso de que actualmente estudio trabajo social como lo escribo hay, o no lo escribo? Yo escribi mi colegio, puse primary/secondary y en diploma high school, y despues la U, pones como se llama la carrera por ejemplo arquitectura y diploma arquitecta....y si estas estudiando actualmente ponlo "social work"  y en la fecha de terminacion pones: present. Igual como te digo tu puedes cambiar la cita hasta 1 dia antes de que sea entonces no te preocupes!    PREGUNTA CHICA    MI AMORCITO A ESTADO ESTUDIANDO LA PAGINA DE BOGOTA DE SACAR LA CITAS Y ME DICE QUE TE PREGUNTE QUE ES LA DS 160 Y COMO SE HACE EL PAGO ??? Te cuento que Jetblue no sale desde CALI :'( vamos a ver a la final que hago, ya la otra semana debo viajar. Te pregunto vas a viajar en la fecha que pusiste en tu forma? Si, total!! Por que debes viajar la otra semana?...pues yo me quiero ir lo mas pronto posible, entonces creo que la primera mitad del prox mes me voy pero yo habia puesto Sep 16 en la forma porque en ese entonces no habia cambiado la fecha de la cita. Yo creo que no hay problema con eso porque la pregunta es como la fecha que uno cree que va a ir a menos de que ya este seguro y ponia la fecha segura, vamos a ver como le va a Monita. Yo uso siempre Expedia para ver los precios y siempre compro todos los trayectos con la misma aerolinea asi salga mas barato mezclar porque si se atrasa un vuelo la aerolinea responde y mas facil reprogramar y lo compro directo en la aerolinea. Espero que las lindas chicas que ya se van con sus amorcitos no nos olviden a las que estamos en espera.....  porque son de mucha ayuda  eh... abrazos.. y buen viaje...   Claro..pues mira mi cita medica fue a las 5pm y me entregaron los resultados el mismo dia, pero creo que a esa hora o un poco más tarde correrias el riesgo que te entreguen los resultados al otro dia, tambien depende de cuan ocupado este y otras cosas...por eso pienso que es mejor hacer laboratorio y medico un dia, despues dejar un dia libre y despues la entrevista. Our service centre was California and our NOA took 65 days from our NOA1.   If your peition is pretty clean cut and there's no issues and RFE's the process MIGHT be quicker. Something I learned while waiting for our approval was that the petitions don't really seem to be processed in order so you have to be very patient. USCIS Service Centers	Workers Permission	When you go to do your biometrics (finger prints and pictures). Is it possible for you to be able to change your last name because you are married? For example my sister on her workers permission it says her old last name. But when she received her green card it had her new last name on it. When she went to get her social they said it would take extra time because the name change and they had to verify that it was actually her. Thailand	Translator's Certification	http://www.thaivisa....ator/?p=8270631   I'm assuming doontp from TVF and dakotap here on VJ are the same person.  I'm wondering where that requirement came from?  That is definitely new.  I've had monks here in Dallas at the Thai temple translate documents for me that were submitted to USCIS.  I can assure you they're not on any US Embassy approved list.    Something is not making sense here unless there's a new policy.   Your assumption is correct.  doontp and dakotatp is the same person.   I called USCIS at Tel.: 02-205-5352.  USCIS said a business license issued to them by the government allows them to provide translation services.     Again....the below is taken for the Form I-130 Instructions.   (1) Any foreign language document must be accompanied by a full English translation that the translator has certified as complete and correct,  and (2) Any foreign language document must be accompanied by the translator?s certification that he or she is competent to translate the foreign language into English.   What certification or proof does the monk have that indicates he is competent to translate the foreign language into English?  A Bachelors Degree in English?  Perhaps I'm going overboard with my understanding of the I-130 instructions?  Perhaps I'm being a little too #######?  Perhaps the person I spoke with over the phone (who I will add did not sound like an American) was wrong?   I'm not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers.  I'm not here to debate what's right or wrong.  Bottom line I don't want any problems or holdups on my wife's visa application.  My wife's visa app will be a documentation-gathering of perfection.  My wife will not be denied.  I'm looking for any loose end, any I that hasn't been dotted, any T that hasn't been crossed.	dakotatp	Not Telling	Thailand	2014-08-20 21:47:00
Thailand	Translator's Certification	I got the answer.  The US Embassy officially recognizes 6 different translation companies, but acknowledges that there are many more.  Attached is a list of those 6 companies.   A photocopy of the translation company's certification issued to them by the Thai government must be obtained from any translation company that is not on the US Embassy's list.  In other words, a copy of their occupational license must be obtained.  They should be able to scan this and email it to any client who makes a request.   Attached Files  translators_photographers.pdf   49.75KB   4 downloads	dakotatp	Not Telling	Thailand	2014-08-19 22:51:00
Thailand	Translator's Certification	I'll be soon submitting an application for a US Visa for my wife.   Below is copied and pasted from the Instructions regarding translation of foreign language documents.   Any foreign language document must be accompanied by a full English translation that the translator has certified as complete and correct, and by the translator?s certification that he or she is competent to translate the foreign language into English.   I submitted Thai language documents for translation to English via email.  They were promptly translated and hard-copies mailed and soft-copies emailed to me.  I paid by bank transfer.  No problem.  The translated docs are stamped, "Certified complete and correct translation" and signed by the translator.   I subsequently (repeatedly) asked, via email, for the "translator's certification", but I get no response.   (1) What exactly is the "translator's certification?"  Is this similar to a business license?    (2) Is the United States Citizen Immigrant Services really strict about seeing a copy of the translator's certification?   (3) Why are they ignoring my email?  I used what appears to be a very large translation company in BKK. Thailand	I-864: Letter from Employer	The US Embassy, rather than the US CIS, handles everything associated with the I-864, which involves a sponsor's letter of employment.   The US Embassy in Bangkok finally replied to my questions.     Question 1:  The Embassy does not have a specific format for a sponsor's "Letter of Employment"   Question 2:  No   Question 3:  it's a waste of time using 2 sponsors, if both of them, individually, meet or exceed the income requirements.	dakotatp	Not Telling	Thailand	2014-10-17 04:57:00
Thailand	I-864: Letter from Employer	Hello,  I'm in Thailand and I did the DCF last week.   My uncle has completed an I-864 and provided all of the supporting documents to me.     The only problem is the letter from the employer verifying my uncle's employment.  It is not in the below format the US CIS wants.     Instead, his employer provided him with what his company referred to as an, "Employee Data Report."  This report shows the company address and telephone # and it is dated.  But it's not signed by anyone nor is anyone's name and job title listed.  It does have the dates employed and my uncle's job title.  It does have his wage per month and per year.   My uncle works for a very large corporation and the Employee Date Report is very official looking.     Question #1: Is the US CIS strict about the format of the sponsor's letter of employment?   Question #2: Is there any positive or negative consequence to having 2 sponsors? A friend of mine has already provided me with a completed I-864 along with all of the supporting documents, all of which are perfect, including the Letter of Employment.   Question #3: Would it be better if I only used my friend as a sponsor, because everything he submitted to me is correct?  Or should I go ahead and submit both my friend's and my uncle's I-864 together?       US CIS Format letter of employment:   Re: Employment verification for __________________   Use below template to instruct your employer to generate letter on company letterhead.   1.    Letter should be typed on company letterhead showing company address and telephone. 2.    Letter must be dated. 3.    Letter must be signed and that person's job title must be listed. 4.    Letter must include the dates employed and the employee?s job title. 5.    Letter must have wage/hour or wage/mile or wage/load and translated into salary/year	dakotatp	Not Telling	Thailand	2014-10-10 22:42:00
