I still have been waiting for noa2. It is over freaking 7 months. This is insane. I cannot stand it anymore. My last update was August 10th, but recently, finally it was update on March 7th and 9th. I do not think that this is due to phone calls because my fiance called several times in Feb.
I have no idea why it took this long. I have no RFE or anything and I am really upset. Do those two touches mean good?????????????

I think these will be good touches. Your nerves must be shot!!! I hope that you are next!!!

I think they are - other wise you'd not get the info that's on there -

Who is the US Citizen? Is she from Oregon or Northern Ireland? You need to be a little clearer.

K-1 can only be filed in the USA so should be a US address as resident, so use an address of a parent, sibling, relative or trusted friend, and they can just forward all USCIS mail to you in the UK.

The K-1 I-129F petition gets sent to the service center that has jurisdiction over where her home in the USA is, this is indicated in the instructions with form I-129F. Page 3 http://www.uscis.gov...form/I-129F.pdf

For Oregon the USCIS center is Lincoln NE.

Thanks Guys,

She's from Oregon but has lving here for two years now ... So it looks like it's Belfast to Oregon to Lincoln to London to Belfast!!! Phew!!!

Ah but she's worth it!!!

Have you considered the sponsorship issue?

Hi there Pushbrk,

I'm not sure what you mean by "Have you considered the sponsorship issue?"

If you mean that she lives in the UK and doesn't have income in the US, well I will be selling my home and her father or mother can provide any additional assurances.

There is, I believe, special considerations for self-support through the London Embassy if you own your own home, etc.

Are there other issues you meant?

Hi there,

My gf (soon to be fiance) lives with me in the UK but is from OR originally. WE thought we would apply to the Nebraska Centre but on the London Consulate K-1 info it says "On receipt of the visa applicant's file from the National Visa Center (NVC) in New Hampshire, the Immigrant Visa Unit of this Embassy will send the applicant the forms that he or she is required to complete in connection with the administrative processing of the application."

So does she apply with her Northern ireland address or her OR address? And where do we send it? It's bloody complicated!

Thanks!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F Payment
We are the exact same situation ... I just called the US Embassy - as recommended here -

"If you live outside the United States, Guam, or the U.S.
Virgin Islands, contact the nearest U.S. consulate or
embassy for instructions on the method of payment."

And they told me that my fiance would have to contact the place in the US where she needs ro fil - ie - California!!!

Can anyone clear this up?

Hi all,

Ok, SO we put in 'N/A' instead of 'None' for the "Husband or Wife Name" on the G-325A that accompanied out i-129F and might/probably will get refused on that basis ... it happens. So, is there anything we can do now or just sit tight and wait for the USCIS to get back to us? Or can we send an amended copy of the necessary papers and pre-empt them?

We'd hate to have to wait 6 months to find out we've been refused because of one error ... we have a wedding to go to on Oct 11th, 2008!!!

It's over to you guys!

Hello all,

Excuse my ignorance, but everytime I log on to the USCIS website to look at CSC processing time frames it reads as follows:

I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance(e) K-1/K-2 - Not yet married - fiance and/or dependent child April 12, 2007

So, what gives? Does that mean that at present, petitions received on or before April 12th 2007 are being proceesed? If so, why has it read April 12th 2007 for the last 3 weeks? And would that mean an October 1st 2007 filer would be processed around about May 12th 2008, all being well? That's quite the wait for a NOA2, huh?

Approval by early February? If us October filers are going to get approved that early then sweet!!! According to the Timeline here though it will be mid-March so don't get too excited.

All the best though and hopefully we will be cleared with no RFE's or other nasty surprises.

Just to let you all know ...

I'm 35 (male) and have a UK passport, my fiance is 21 and a USC ... sharp intake of breath, eh? I know what you mean about families Moxcamel ... and I heard that one question asked can be about how the future in-laws feel about the relationship. As part of our evidence for the i-195F we submitted pictures of us with her family in both the US and Ireland - her family cool about it. My Catholic Irish family took a while to warm to the idea but once they got used to us being together they were Kool and the Gang!!!

Thanks for your answers everyone.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAge Difference An Issue?
Hi All,

Personal opinions welcomed here ...

There's 15 years between me and my fiance, which to us isn't an issue, but to an immigration official it might be a biggie that raises whatever flags these things raise.

Do you guys think this will be an issue to get our NOA2 and if and when we get through that, should we attend the interview in London together so they can see us as a couple?

I think that they aren't there to judge a couple's precieved suitability rather just that relationship is stable, on-going and, above all, genuine. In which case, we have no problems at all - we have been living together for 2+ years after all.

Let me know what you guys think!!!
