Philippines	How long to get passport back w/visa after the interview for K1 MANILA-PHILIPINES	Four questions...   Q1) Who might know all the phases of VISA processing (in order of occurence) at USEM-MANILA   I have seen the following:   READY ISSUED   Q2)  I was planning to schedule 2 weeks in Manila to attend the interview with Fiancee and hopefully escort her back   Reading the dialog herein this does not even seem possible.  Instead of the 5 -10 days its now seemingly taking a  month.      Q3) Can you change the 2GO delivery location after you initially specify it? We planned to collect the Visa at Mall of Asia.   But if we dont have it I may have to return and she'll have to return home which mean we'd have to  reroute the 2GO delivery.  Can the Visa be delivered to a hotel?   Q4) Is this normal or is this just the holiday season adding delays?   Any other sugstions? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	St Lukes Strategy	My fiancee is from Mindanao -- Davao.  I'm trying to figure the best strategy for the upcoming St Lukes Medical   1) Fly her there -- perform processing -- return to Davao and wait for Embassy appointment a few weeks later  2) Fly her to Manila 7-10 days before embassy appointment and do processing then -- just prior to interview   Cost wise its probably a wash  -- extra air fare vs hotel stay She has no relatives in Manila   Any one have any input/suggestions/tips? Hoping they are working the backlog off now.   If you look at California chart they really rectified a dismal processing time of 300 days down to 200 days   I got the SAME response via the phone.  Its their patented response.   We are all once again waiting in purgatory but I suppose its good to know   we passed the NOA2 hurdle. Middle East and North Africa	Needs informations regarding on procedures of acquiring GOOD CONDUCT CERTIFICATE from BAHRAIN	Wit regard to your question, it might depend on the country, we asked our attorney and they inquired with the embassy and we were instructed we do not need the police certificate.  My fiancée worked in Kuwait.   In Kuwait the crux of the issue us you NEED letter from the embassy [or other] stating you NEED police report. This means the US Embassy (in Kuwait) would request that document and you would take the letter of request  to the Kuwaiti authorities to get the police report. Reviewing the Kuwaiti policy a letter of request is required with other documents to get the certificate   However she has just left Kuwait and our attorney checked with the embassy (Manila) and they state that because she is NO LONGER in Kuwait a police report is not required.   You should verify what the requirements are with Bahrain.   This is a messy topic and there is a lot of discrepancy among responses.   If the Bahraini authorities require a letter of request it may be similar to the Kuwaiti policy.   But what worries me even with the direction from the embassy a consular officer may request it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	G-325A and Letter of Intent Question!!!	The address MUST be your current address. My fiancee is working in Kuwait City....we used that address on HER letter of intent.   I disagree about the notarization on the letter of intent.  It may not be legally required but think about what that says by not notarizing it.  The INS is looking for shame marriages and essentially you are telling them, "I'm not going to promise that I'm enter in a bonafied marriage in good faith."   You don't know who is reviewing you I-129F so I'd think you want to cover all your bases and not have the application returned over a very trivial step. I'd play it safe and get it notarized.     My fiancee went to the US Embassy in Kuwait and got hers notarized.  You can do the same in Jakarta  Go on line and schedule an appointment.  It was easy for her and she said the Embassy staff was so helpful. It should state in the letter what other EVIDENCE is REQUIRED (needed) to support your I-129 application   For instance we got one.  They wanted a letter of intent from me (not normally required) usually only supplied by the beneficiary   It was easy - done in an hour and sent to our attorney   We got approved 2 weeks after.  Just get it done otherwise you are in a "pending" state.   If your fiancee is too busy -- then have him hire a QUALIFIED immigration attorney	JaniceDave	Male	Philippines	2013-11-03 14:25:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NVC Incompetance	Our packet was received by NVC 04 NOV.   When I called and obtained our Consular tracking number to my surprise I was given an KWT (Kuwait) ID.   Now true when we filed my fiancee was working in Kuwait but ITEM 20 on page 2 of  the I-129   specifically stated we would process in MANILA -- its there I verified about 100 times already   Now the packet's status on CEAC is "IN TRANSIT":   Even if you knew this could happen there is no way to stop government morons who cant read the most critical item in the application ITEM 20 (Where you will process)   This information should be scanned via some OCR device to prevent a clerical error of this type.   When I addressed the issue to the NVC host she stated "It went to Kuwait because the current address was Kuwait" Here's the point...you cannot put ANY OTHER address other than your CURRENT address otherwise you are technically  falsifying the I-129.   We have legal assistance working a back door resolution (Kuwait shipping to Manila) but that's not a sure thing. Anyone with legal insight or experience please chime in.  Since the packet left NVC they say there is  nothing they can do. And if anyone from the NVC is reading this this is the most fundamental step in  the processing -- getting the packet to the CORRECT EMBASSY -- and YOU failed! What I would do is FIRST correct your tax "issue" with the IRS   file 1040X amending the original return claiming you were single and pay any tax due.   You should verify this though.   Then when that is settled order a tax return from the IRS to show the original and amended returns.   I don't know how to prove "singleness"  -- that might be an attorney question.   . And it's said If ur form if129 f remains pending 120 days or more from the date of this response you may call Uscis! So that's mean after waitting 6 months and now u have to wait 4 more months!!!
