K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Considering abandoning our 129F	It is really a sad story... Can you get married in Canada and use the DCF (Direct Consular Filing) system to speed up the process? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Considering abandoning our 129F	Sheryl and I are seriously considering abandoning our 129F to get married and starting over for a K-3 I have received conflicting information from USCIS, the DHS, and CSC about our case status. My local USCIS office says there is a request for 'initial evidence' on its way to me that was sent in August, which I haven't received, even though I sent them my initial evidence almost seven months ago. A Congressional inquiry suggests they're still processing our case and have everything they need. The national hotline told me that my six month window started when our case was transfered on June 10th. I have no idea who or what to believe and, at this point, have lost all faith that our case will ever be approved. I see all the approvals all around me that have only taken two or three months and I feel that starting over will simply be better than trying to untangle the horrible mess that has been made of our case. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	230 days and finally approved!	I spent three months trying to illicit a mysterious second RFE from USCIS that was holding up our case... after pulling teeth to get them to send another copy they finally sent it to me. It turns out it was the IMBRA RFE, which we had already responded to!! It must have been lost and nobody bothered to tell us. I was furious. Senator Mark Dayton's office finally had the leverage needed to get our case pulled to the head 'congressional adjudicator' and Sheryl and I have now, finally, finally been approved. Thank you for all of your support! Don't give up the fight! Raise immigration bullsh*t awareness and let's get this broken system fixed! Write your local media, make some formal requests to the Ombudsman!
