Thank you dantes.. i already wrote CAMARIN,CALOOCAN CITY,MANILA,PHILIPPINES

guys.. i have read from my checklist :help:

FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:_____

The NVC has received the requested Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). However, we are still
waiting for the Affidavit of Support form. Please submit the Affidavit of Support form according to the
instructions on the Department of State website at the following address:www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov.
From there, you can fill out an Affidavit of Support form online, then print the completed form and mail
it to NVC.

why they're asking me to submit AOS form? my HUSBAND should be the one to fill up that form, right?

That's probably a false RFE (I got the same thing). It just means that they processed the DS-230 before the AOS. For me, they processed my AOS before the visa app and sent me the same kind of email.

I just checked DHL and I see that there is a shipment going to Paraguay!! I must assume that it is mine since I haven't seen anything going there since I've been checking for weeks. Excitement!!
Update: AVR has finally updated! Case shipped out on 4/15/11. Good times! :)

Mine hasn't updated either- I just called NVC and the operator said it will be shipped out within the next few days.

It should be enough time. I'm not sure about Paraguay, but in Canada the results are ready within 3 business days.

Ohh ok- should take around the same amount of time, then. I'll make sure to tell him to remind the doctor of his interview date so that everything is done in time. Thanks! :)

Hi, peoples- my husband scheduled his medical exam for April 19th, which is two weeks before his interview. Is that enough time for the results to come back? How long does it usually take?
Thanks, y'all.

Your consulate had free time, so they scheduled it sooner ;) And besides you got your date scheduled on the 2nd week of April, so you didn't have to wait a lot like most of us did hehe coz they told us to wait for 2nd week of April for interview date.

I'm glad they managed to squeeze him into their schedule! Very grateful for that! Now I'm here looking at plane fares and reminding myself not to buy anything until the visa is in the passport!

We got some good news on the AVR this morning...

"Your completed case was forwarded to the London consulate on 11th April 2011. (Yesterday). Please contact the consulate for any further questions".

So, my dear VJers, does that mean that our case LEFT the NVC yesterday, or does it mean they ordered the shipment from DHL for today? I can find no record of anything being shipped yesterday with it being Monday.

I want to track this, and would love to know when London has or will receive it.

Any ideas...anyone?

My AVR message hasn't changed yet- and DHL kinda sucks! I speak from personal experience! But yeah, in a few days something should show up on the Track Reference page!

Please know that when operators say they ONLY schedule during the second week of each month that it's a lie. They schedule all month. If you want proof, look at my own signature; I was scheduled during the FOURTH week.

And yes, once an interview date has been scheduled, an email will be sent out to both the petitioner and beneficiary with an interview package attached.

Keep calling and good luck!

Yes, you and many others have had their interviews scheduled during various times of the month! Not sure why they tell that to people, so let's see what they say as I call this week, the infamous "second week of the month"!! :D

Thank you! I finally got through to an operator, and it's been confirmed – cased completed today! No chance of an April interview (which I wasn't expecting anyway). I hope we get our interview date soon because we still have travel plans to confirm, and it's getting trickier as the days go on.

So tips for the next step – when should I start calling the NVC and DOS to ask about an interview date? And do I not try to track my package until the interview has actually been scheduled? Thanks, everyone! Feeling so much closer to the end now...

Yay awesome! :)

I called NVC on Friday afternoon and the operator was like, 'we schedule interviews during the second week of each month,' and I was like, 'you mean...next week?' and she was like, 'the second week of each month, so call back in a couple weeks.' She also mentioned that NVC will email the petitioner and beneficiary when the interview date is set- is that true?
Anyhoo, I'm calling every morning for the rest of week to see if I get some good news!

Do you know if NVC can schedule the interview with the foreign consulate in advance of forwarding the paperwork or will they not schedule an interview until the consulate has the paper in their hands? I'm in the same boat, they have approved but not sent. They are also considering an expedite request I sent last week. I don't know what they are waiting for. How long does it take to schedule an interview over the phone and ship the package?

From LOTO's NVC Guide:
"Step 3 - Finalization
Final Step 1 – NVC Case Completion
Time: Approximately 1 week after the last step of the above 2 independent tracks
Case is officially completed and NVC will set an interview date in conjunction with scheduling available at the foreign U.S. Consulate/Embassy.

Final Step 2 – NVC Case Forwarded to the Foreign U.S Consulate
Time: Approximately 7 to 10 days after above step
Case is officially forwarded to the U.S Consulate by DHL. All your Originals/Certified copies submitted to NVC along with all your files are mailed to the consulate in this step.
NVC mails out immigrant visa appointment letter to both the petitioner in the U.S and the beneficiary in the foreign country."

I assume the interview is scheduled before the consulate receives the paperwork. At least I hope it's that way!

CONGRATS Jenny!

I'lll be tracking your package to the consulate - it's my new toy - I watched Lara Eyes & M&K go on Friday. I wonder when yours will be in DHL's schedule? Posted Image

Thank you!!!!

I read in one of NVC guides that it takes 7 - 10 days after case completion to get forwarded to consulate, so hopefully it will be mailed off by next week! Aaahh I'm so excited! :)

VJ Fam, my case was completed at the NVC yesterday! Just found out this morning! The operator said that April is too full to schedule interviews so I am hoping we get something in May! As for me, I mailed out my visa app packet today! AOS packet was delivered on 3/21. What's the average wait time for both the AOS and DS230 to be entered into the system? Operator today told me to wait 20 business days.

Guys, I just printed out my barcoded sheet for my AOS and I see that the address is a bit different than what I've read on other sites:

National Visa Center
ATTN: CMR AOS
31 Rochester Avenue Suite 100
Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

Just wanted to give anyone who hasn't sent theirs in yet a heads-up.

Since the instructions specify BLACK ink, I don't think you will have a problem. I used black ink on all the forms submitted to USCIS and NVC with no problems. An original signature leaves an impression on the back of the paper that would not be present on a photocopy. If I worked at USCIS or NVC I would give a RFE for those signed in blue ink for not following instructions.

Thanks, Dan!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCSC to TSC to NVC: the Saga continues

For writing the case number, you can write in whatever color you want, it doesn't matter.

BUT, when you do signatures, make sure it's in blue ink. If it's in black, NVC might assume it's a photocopy and issue an RFE. So, always sign in blue ink.

My husband ended up signing with black ink, but I don't think it looks like a photocopy. I made a photocopy of it to keep for myself and I can see a clear difference between the two. Oh well, I'll just hope for the best!

Hi guys,

Im finishing up my IV package i just need to add my case number on the upper right corner of all documents, is it ok to use a blue pen or must be a black one (same question for the signature), sorry for this silly question  but i dont wanna get any RFE that might delay my application again.

I placed a removable label with my case # on only the first page of the actual visa application- should I add one to the rest of the pages of the application? All the other documents each have the case # on them.

Jenny - I suggest 10 AM and 11 PM, EST, so that's twice a day, and yes, including weekends (updates via automation usually hit over the weekend and are there)- hit the AVR only.

ONCE you have the casenumber, call back next day business day, follow this mini-how-to -> http://www.visajourn...ost__p__3560467

Guys, I've a query regarding AOS. As per LingChe's Shortcut & Loto's guide following docs are required while submitting the AOS to NVC. My concern is - if the petitioner does not have a Letter of Employment, would the Pay Stubs be fine!? or is Letter of Employment a must!?

LingChe:
AOS Packet
a. Bar-coded cover sheet
b. Completed and signed form I-864 by the petitioner
c. IRS tax transcripts for the last three years
(Call IRS at 800-908-9946 to order them for free)
d. Petitioner's employment letter
e. Petitioner's pay stubs for the current year

Loto:
When status of the AOS shows as PAID (online): Print the barcode and include it in your AOS package which are:

. BARCODED Cover Sheet (to be printed from web when your status is PAID online for AOS bill)
. Your OWN cover sheet listing what documents are in the package, so they're easy for the reviewer to locate
. Completed I-864 signed
. Original Employment Letter
. Most recent tax return (all forms)
. Copy of PAY STUBS for current year (showing how much money you have made year to date)
. Last 3 years Tax transcripts, W-2 and/or 1099 (any source of income) OPTIONAL
SPONSOR: I-864 + all above documents for sponsor. Each sponsor that lives in the same household as the petitioner, should use I-864a, instead of I-864
Make 2 extra copies of this package. Send 1 copy to the beneficiary

The letter of employment isn't absolutely necessary- if you have it send it in. If you don't, send in a couple extra paystubs.

Hey gang, just called the AVR to find out I've been assigned a case number.

Am..... I.... really.... out of the black hole???????

yeah, I sent it right after I got the case number and IIN (same day my case number was processed). It probably was that I sent it too soon.

Yes, I think you sent it too soon. This is an excerpt from one of the shortcuts guides:

Even though you have an NVC number, your case information still needs to be manually input before anything else can happen.

Until such time that documents are fully loaded in, NVC will not generate or accept DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) via email or US Postal Mail.

When your case has been manually input, the DS-3032 and AOS (Affidavit of Support) fee bills will be generated.

Also, when the AOS fee bill is generated, your IIN (Invoice Identification Number) is created.

Note - it may be possible that your IIN is created when your NVC number is created...THIS is the time to begin the quest for the IIN, but when requesting, ask for Invoice ID Number, not "IIN".

Try hard; every second of your life…having your IIN will save you weeks in the process.

Your case could be input immediately or could take weeks. Remember these words "Maybe tomorrow, maybe in 4 to 6 weeks, there is no pattern".
