K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-1question I've not seen.	I watched some videos linked on another post on the visa process and they mentioned proof of being single certs, possibly needed for both parties. I had not seen anything required from the petioners. I have a old birth certificate that was a bit suspect when I used it to get my passport so I sent both and like you will often read here. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Change of address for beneficiary?	I have the same problem, my fiancee moved back to her sisters home. From what I have found through reading posts after doing a search it seems what most have done is have NVC change the address before it is sent to the embassy. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	1-134 bank statement requirements	Thanks all, Darnell that's what I plan on doing. I'm self employed and I need to show savings because my taxable income is too low. The frustrating part is a lot of my income goes to pay for my home and I get to write a percentage off which brings my taxable income down below the leval I need. It's hard because my home will not cost me any more having my fiancee living with me! My gross is way over but after expenses I fall short. I have saving to more then cover the shortfall. Part of the problem is they just don't do much inhouse at banks here in Calif. anymore so they can run the branch with a small crew. It says on the stuff they sent me I can get 18 mnths of info on line, I really just need to get something that says when I opened my account! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	1-134 bank statement requirements	OK, I went to my B of A to get the requested information for the 1-134. I handed him a request for the date my act. was opened, total amount deposited for the past year and present balance, no problem, I would have the information in 2-3 days, cost $20 per hour, 1 hour minimum. Well I got the stuff today, I got a bank statement for 1 month! Nothing else. Can anyone tell me what it took to get the required information? Go to the bank, call the customer service? The valid dates on mine are for 4 months 8-14-12 to 12-13-12 so it's not good for a full year but I think there is a form to extend the time. I found this in the form section. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Urgent questions	It's my understanding you have to base the income on your "taxable" income. for examble in my case I make well above the 125% but after deductions I'm well below and had to use my savings to make up the differance. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	reaching the poverty guidelines	I was in the same boat, my adjusted income was below the poverty level so I have to show assets to make up the shortfall amount for 5 years I believe. I have enough in my saving to more then cover the difference so I should be OK. If the self employed adjusted income on line 22 is 15k then he needs to show assets of about 4k per year for the 5 years. This is my understanding of how it works. I'm trying to pass as much information on to my fiance as possible so she can remain calm. The only concern I have is the paperwork she did there like the Police cert, birth cert etc. She went too her hukuo for everything but had to go get those papers translated and I keep hearing they come translated and norerized in what is called the "white book' a term she does not understand. This is what I have been telling her to do and she has the papers organized so she knows where everything is. I told her to keep the second copy of the DS-156 and DS-157 in a seperate envelope and ask if they want both copies. I also told her they were likely going to take just what they wanted and to take everything left over to the interview. Each time we Skype and in my mails we talk of staying calm so I hope it helps. I asked this on the China forum but after several days I haven't gotten a reply so I'll try here, hopefully I'll have better luck here. Thanks. Our consulate interview day is quickly coming up on the 28th and I have a few questions. We have all the P4 papers ready and I'd like to get some feedback from you recent folks. They request 2 copies each of the DS-156 and DS-157, do you actually turn in both or keep one for your copy, seems I read this somewhere in the consulate instructions but would like to confirm this. Next on the on going relationship stuff I sent samplings of our emails over the last months, print outs of our weekly Spype times and Skype video pictures, new letters of intent and since I won't be there I was adding my evolution of relationship letter, cards I sent, ring receipt ect. My fiance is also taking more photos I sent of us together and some I sent of our home and some of just me, pictures a couple would exchange in my opinion. When you turn this paperwork in do they just take it all in or do they pick what they want at least picture wise? This is what I'm un clear of. Then one last question, what else do you take the next day when she go for the interview? I was thinking she could take the original 129F packet I sent over and a photo book I had printed show our travels around China when we were together. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I'm the petitioner and when I submitted the 1-129F forms to the USCIS I didn't send my fiance's birth cert because it wasn't required, it is required when she sends the paperwork in at the consulate. I called the NVC and they were helpful and told me to send them change via email, a week later they replied saying they could not help and to notify the Embassy. I think they could not help me because our papers were already heading to China. I emailed the embassy and the next day they asked for her address in Chinese, I sent it and the next day they replied that they did not have the paperwork yet but when recieved they would send it to the new address and to be patient.
