If your wife got the letter already from the consulate of Montreal, she has to photocopy the Visa instruction and the cover letter where you usually see her name on it, print the request form in the HK police site and send it to the Hongkong Police. usually it takes a month to wait before the Consulate of Montreal will have the police certificate.

my i-130 was recieved on june 11 and notice sent but havent received any thing as of yet from them i know they had computer problems and it is fixed now i called them last week and was told they havent forgoten about me was there response but still havent recieved the noticed yet.i am wondering if lost in mail or WHAT
another thing i have been reading on this site is james short cut thats all i see what is it or what does it stand for


Hello there, We sent ours last May 21 and waited for a month before we contacted the office. They gave us the NOA1 and told us that the hard copy was sent by us to us already but we never receive any. Two weeks after, we called again to request another hard copy they said they have sent but then told us that we have to write a request for formality. It was totally depressing but we just have to do what they said and wait.... :blush:

Its better if you apply for a Fiance evisa rather than spousal visa(K3). Its a bit faster and not too complicated. Please read the guides here in VJ. It will help you decide. My Fiance is from South Carolina too!

I had my medical last December 12 and I was given two shots, one for MMR and one for DT here in Singapore. There should supposed to be one more for chicken pox but I had it already before so the doctor told me I don't have the third shot anymore then.

I never got Package No. 3, I'm guessing the Guatemalan consulates does not send a Package 3 and I just need to bring all the documents for the interview.. that's kinda different for what I've read around here... my fiance says that it probably works different here. I'm going to call them this morning again just make sure.

The e-mail says I need to go to the Consulate to pick up my appointment letter... that is totally differnt don't you think? I hate it that there aren't any other couples in my consulate in VJ sad.gif

I'll just call them to be 100% sure because this is all so new to me.

Hello, it happened to me as well. I have work in HK previously and can only get a police clearance until I have a photocopy of a letter from the relevant Consulate / Immigration Authority, which contains my name and clearly indicates that the production of the Certificate is required. So I have to wait until I receive the packet 3 from the consulate.

I heard that the USEM is a little bit conservative of what to wear. I guess slacks and a blouse will do just fine. When I had my interview, I wore shirt and jeans and sneakers so I would feel comfortable and easier for me to move around especially I carried loads of paperworks (which was really unnecessary though secret7vf.gif ). I am not sure if its acceptable in the US Embassy manila.

I think the USEM will receive your fiancee's Police clearance 2 to 4 weeks from 21st. I had the same trouble also last time I took my police clearance in Hong kong. It took almost 4 weeks before the embassy (singapore) had it.
