We all went in expecting quicker approvals. And yes, I feel like my heart is being torn out every day I see this counter rise... but it still hurts the same. You know, when they skipped to December, it wasn't any one of us who got approved who came here to gloat, you realize it right? Yes, waiting frustrates me to no end, but I cannot let it drive me insane. I talk to my girl every day and every night, and someone has to at least try and cheer her up, so I just can't allow myself to succumb to misery. This whole process sucks a donkey dong... Oh, and while some people think we are serious with the drinking.....we all have jobs and stuff you know Unfortunately, December will kinda suffer from the October-November's delay in processing. they are not done with November yet, nearly half way. they speed-ed up for 2 weeks, but wasn't enough to process all the applications. You may have 4-4.5 month waiting time. But, you 4-5 were expecting this I guess. Not forgetting that even after the NOA2, you will still have 1,2 or 3 month to wait before an interview. So no, I'll never understand it I guess Everyday i woke up alone, and I saw VSC getting late in the approvals, was like a stab in my heart, cos everyday VSC was skipping each application, means that this couple would have to live 1 more day away from each other, means that this couple will have their "life" put on hold for 1 more day, means that this couple will have to wait 1 more day before realizing their life time dream. Nobody have the right to decide for other people's life. We knew that there was waiting in this process, but we payed the fees to have a fairly file processing, and we didn't get it. All we got was our applications being locked in a closet and being skipped for 2 month. You will say, ok, but we will end up together at last. I agree with you, but if the waiting doesn't frustrate you, that doesn't mean that the other couples aren't suffering or don't have the right to suffer, and aren't getting frustrated or don't have the right to be frustrated cos the government system fail. Then I read..."we're not 100% sure that I'll get the visa" - what you talking about? Then, if Drue moves to France he would have to leave his doggy behind. Non, non! If it comes to that, I will pay for Mr Drue's dog's flight cost. And I won't be argued with! I said I'll try, we never know lol And about Drue's doggy, it's not financial problem, it's more space problem. He has a rotty, a big rotty, and I have a small apartment for now (well, I live alone, no need for a big apartment to clean up for nothing lol). Let's just hope he wouldn't have to move here. Keep us posted, with pics if possible I saw that the DS-157 is required for the france consulate, donno about yours, but, maybe better just fill it and take it with you just in case? Drue will go the the animal shelter to see if the puppy is still there, and if she's "good", like not shy, nor aggressive, playful ... he said he'll get her then, but I donno, we're not 100% sure that I'll get the visa, so I donno what to do >< . K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2009 filers	While boringly waiting for the P3, I started filling all the applications what a pain I tell you, you have to fill the same exact information on 3 of the 4 forms. and you don't have the same amount of space to fill each time. So stupid ... they really need to review these forms, they ask more information then they give u space to fill them in. Like, "list all employment for the last 10 years", they give you 5 lines, but for "all places you lived in", they give you 8 lines, and for "the children", they give you 8 lines. like come on ... Soooooooooooooooooo ... On form DS-157, on #9, they ask to list all the countries you have entered in the last ten years, like, even tho I went on vaca, I have to mention it? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2009 filers	Today is MAR 13, 2010 - He's still waiting for his package from the embassy... not sure what we do from here besides me sending him the Affidavit of Support, Letter of continuing K1 Visa, and Financial documents (work employ letter, 2 previous tax returns, 2 recent pay check stubs, proof of ongoing relationships>emails, phone bills, calling card bills, skype msgs) before his interview. Is he supposed to send the embassy anything after I send him what he needs before the interview? This is where I'm confused. When your fiancee receive the P3, some forms are to be returned to the embassy, and other are required to be submitted during the interview. Mrs Dogs' dumb question: Obviously it is the beneficiary's documents they want, but do they also want the USC's birth and divorce certificates too? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2009 filers	Hey guys, glad to see so many cases making their way over the ocean I got my shots yesterday which - aside from being surprisingly expensive - completely wiped me out for most of the day. But anyway, another checkmark to add to this process, almost there!!! I also talked to the embassy, where they told me that I should go in as soon as I have all my documents ready and they will help me look through it to make sure it is on order for the interview. Once that is done, they will schedule the appointment. I was all ready to do just that next week right after the medical, except the police certificate I had issued turned out to be the wrong one (should have waited for embassy instructions before applying for everything ), so now I have to wait another week before I can go in. Still, once again, I can see the light now, hoping for an early April reunion Have a great weekend everyone! yay gratz, u're almost there u scaring me tho bout the shots >< what did they gave you? After the consulate gets ours, we have about the same wait (1 month) before the interview, theoretically. Good luck with both of you on the culture shock aspect. It is somewhere over the Pacific Ocean right now. I also sent everything to Jum today. The Embassy in Bangkok says on their website to download packet 3 when we are notified that the NVC has sent the case to the Embassy. When we know that the Embassy has the case, we can send them the forms. No need to wait until we receive packet 3. Did u check on the DHL site if the embassy got the case? i did that, and i found out that my embassy got it. Now just waiting for them to send me the P3. According to other frenchy's timeline, I should expect it next week, along with what Drue sent me, and my parents too lol. Omg, i'm so excited God is rewarding us after all the suffering we went thru (dealing with VSC skipping october/november for 2 month, and dealing with those who never (will they ever?) understood that we were fighting for the principles of the process, aka, processing the applications in date order. Oh well, once an info twisting maniac, always an info twisting maniac ) Still crossing my fingers for justar. Come on VSC, she's the only active VJ left, don't let her suffer more. the grannies can go in spring hibernation after if they want. In the Packet 3 for the Thai Embassy it states that if I submit the I-134 as proof of evidence of financial support, I need to provide a photocopy of my passport, an employment letter, and a copy of my tax return for the most recent year. EVIDENCE OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Your Petitioner should present evidence that neither you nor your children (if applicable) will become a public charge in the United States. A Form I-134 (Affidavit of Support) signed by Petitioner can be submitted with a copy of Petitioner's US passport, an employment letter and a copy of Petitioner's tax return (Form 1040) for the most recent tax year. I have also read of some people who were told to come back for a second interview because they did not have copies of the previous 3 tax returns. One person in the past month had the tax returns for 2007 and 2008, but was told that they needed tax returns for 2009. However their petitioner did not file their 2009 tax returns yet. Then u go on the DHL website (scroll up and read the upper posts), and see if a package was sent to your country the day NVC told your fiance they sent it. Only an employement letter with pay stubs. Is this correct or do you have to submit 3 years of tax returns? i guess u could provide tax returns if you don't reach the 125% poverty line. As you haven't put when NVC received your case, or when your case left NVC, I've had a guess going by your NOA2 date and checked the DHL site for you. To resume it all, see here Drue got a letter one week after our NOA2 that VSC sent to NVC our application. Then, 2 days after, NVC sent him a letter telling him that they received the application, Gave it a new number, and that they are gonna send it to the consulate. After that, the consulate will send me the P3. What you should do, is, start getting ready for your P3 starting today. Then, take a week break, you deserved it.
