PhilippinesDo we get any "Evidence" back from USEM
For K-1, they kept all the documents, and some of the evidence. Most of the evidence they gave back, because there was too much. Then when I got my pink slip, they gave me back all my pictures and postcards, and the emails, and the letters. They gave me back everything except the documents. They kept all those.

I looked through the hole in the packet they sent me, and I saw all the stuff, the pictures, and everything that my fiance sent the USCIS, and our letters of intent to marry as well he sent them.

I was trying to edit my previous post to include my answer to the OP's question but it wouldn't allow me.

Anyways, I don't think you broke any unwritten rule. In our culture, it's the man's responsibility to provide. Since you're not married yet, it's up to both of you how comfortable each of you in the idea of you providing for her. With me and my fiance, we're very comfortable with each other already. It's like we're already married without that piece of paper. We discuss everything. He doesn't make decisions without consulting me, especially when it comes to finances and vice versa.

With you and your fiancee, I don't know how open you are with each other. I agree with Luvtechwifey, open communication and willingness to compromise are the key to a good relationship. Honestly, I don't think she's upset because you sent her money. It could be as simple as she's worried that because of you sending her money, you might end up compromising something there (unless money is not an issue at all to you). She shouldn't worry about you thinking that she's using you for money. She should know that you know her better than that.

you make a good point she knows money is tight on my end right now maybe that is the problem.

Maybe she wants you to save money for expenses later. If you run out of money now, you may not be able to pay for the medical, the embassy interview, and the plane ticket. Besides, she don't want a broke husband! star_smile.gif

Did I do something wrong? I don"t know how to react??? I feel bad but at the same time I want to tell her just to take it and be quiet but not rudely!!!! It wasn't even that much just enough that she can get to the cafe each day and for her computer time!!!!! She also said that she budgeted the money I gave her last week so she didn't need it!!!! What did I do that was so wrong?

Be FIRM with her. Send her some more and tell her that you will NOT tolerate a 'broke' honey walking around with no money in her pocket...

"The rule is simple. If a citizen of the Philippines - they are governed by philippine law. However - Philippine law contains an exception for filipinos who marry a foreigner. If the Foreigner files the divorce outside the Philippines - the Philippine government recognizes this divorce as valid as a relief to the filipino who themselves is not allowed to divorce. This exception ONLY applies if the foreign spouse (Not the filipino) files the divorce."

DITTO!
I've been trying to find the link for this but couldn't.

OPs wife WAS married in PI both times.
Her husband did file for the divorce.

She needs to register with NSO or the courts. Don't know the process.

Been here and done this LOL . If her CENOMAR comes back as Married before, then she needs to go to NSO with the divorce papers and they will clear her so she can get a new CENOMAR. Its simple, just need to pass around some piso so they expedite the paperwork for her. As long as the USC petitioned for the divorce, NOT the filipino citizen, then she is ok to remarry. This was challenged in the Philippines Courts a few years ago because originally they did not recognize ANY divorce. Case was like this, Foreigner married filipina, then he divorced her and never brought her to his country. He then met another filipina and went to Philippines and married new filipina #2. meanwhile filipina#1 was screwed for life and could never get married again. Therefore, new ruling came out, to be fair to the filipino citizen, if their foreign spouse divorces them, they can get married again. By the way, in another year or so, there will be divorce in Philippines. Its comming.

You mean divorce is going to be legal in the Philippines soon? Wow, that would be the day!

My Fiance, Janet has an interview date set for October 14th, but I need some hlp on finishing up this Affivadit of Support paperwork. I am self employed and I own a auto repair shop. Last year I filed a loss of income with the IRS so now I must show assets three times the minimum which is roughly $66,000.00 i prefer to show hard assets such as my collector cars and will include a professional apprasial, NADA values on the vehicles, back up with copies of the titles (free of leins) all in my name. They will exceed the needed value by a fair amount. This should handle my 08 tax loss shown. Should I also include the three previous tax years, just to show that normally I make enough? Also, I do not want to ask family for co-sponsorship, as I have enough here to do this. My bank account is not usuable at this time, so I am looking at using all hard assets. I was thinking of including a letter as to why I showed a loss for 08 and the economy issue to help my case. Since I am self employed, what all would I need to submit so we have no issues. I don't get pay stubs, etc from work. No letter from an employer, etc. Thanks for the help all!

Since you are self employed it's a GOOD idea to have the last 3 years of IRS tax transcripts. 800 829 1040. Free and 24/7

Definitely send the last three years worth of tax returns

I know at least a couple of folks that showed a loss in the previous tax year, and got denied. The CO's are not tax experts, so you may need more to show them that you indeed have income. They get nervous when they see negative income for the petitioner. I might suggest preparing a profit/loss statement for the current year to date, and a statement of net worth as well. Having an accountant certify both documents would be a plus. Depending on your bussiness, references from some of your biggest clients might help as well.

Hi! Iam a Filipina fiancee. For the first few months, I knew that my fiancee somehow had doubt about me. Well, I guess that`s the thing that we cannot remove to our American fiance with all the news they are getting about scammers from other countries (not just Philippines of course!). I was not hurt because I knew if Iam in his position, I too will not trust anyone so easy. Actually, at first too, I did not trust him that much...sometimes I thought, what if he`s a serial killer...haha! But as we got along, talking everyday on phone or chat, sharing our thoughts and everyday stories, just continuous communication..all those doubts just faded away and replaced with trust, then love. I think long distance relationship is a process. It needs patience, time and trust. After 6 years of being in a LDR, i think there is no more `what if`s` in our relationship.

-->To all American guys, get to know your partners well, may she be an American lady or a foreigner so you won`t regret being in a relationship in the end. I think, it would be best to know your gfs in person first. Spend time with them and always try to be open about them. Tell them your doubts or worries but of course in a nice way...hehe.

---> To all Filipina ladies, well if our partners doubt us then it`s up to us to prove to them they are wrong. If we really love our partners, we should understand their feelings. If we have doubts about them, well we should tell them too. Be open-minded. smile.gif

Anna has never asked me for anything. She would never say "Hey I/we need this, can you send me some money".

In fact after I finally convinced her to let me send her a laptop we were told that we had to pay 12,000Php import tarriff. Of course I just wanted her to get the laptop so we could use magicjack & YM web cam easier so I Western Unioned her the money for the tarriff. I almost went crazy as she spent 3 days arguing with DHL to get the tarriff reduces to under 500Php! Then she was going to send me back the rest of the money!

Even today, after 7 months of marriage she doesn't ask for anything. Of course I always send enough so she has extra.

We had a situation were it looked like USCIS was going to have to deny my I-130 petitions for her and our son. We were sure that they'd never be able to come to the US. Not for a second did she even think about leaving me. We just started thinking about how we could work it for me to visit every year for a few years and finally move to PH to live out the rest of our lives together.

During all of this she always thinks about me and has been my strength when I had none.

I have no doubts that Anna is my heart. We are 2 halves of the same soul.

So what is it about her? Everything... Simply everything about her. What more can I say, how can I explain Love when there is no begining and no end?

Adobong manok na may nilagang itlog. Paborito namin yan ni Mr. Bill (Chicken adobo with boiled eggs). That's me and Mr. Bill's favorite. I made some today and caldereta too. Want some? star_smile.gif

Fedex me some adobo and calderreta, will you Marie, please? Although I might not have much appetite since my SoCal Trojans got upset in Seattle yesterday. mad.gif

OkiDoki. Better speed up the visa process Manong AJ. Pinays are the best damned cook when it comes to Adobo and Calderreta. It's times like this that you would wish Senora Bonita isn the one doing the cooking for you while you watch the USC Trojans game. Am I right? yes.gif

She thinks that because she doesn't have a very good work experience that they will denie her. Because she has only worked as a saleslady.
Will they even care about that at the embassy.

From previous post on here.

It may be best she wears a mini

Seems like the male CO's have webcams mounted under their desk and they are looking at their computer monitor the whole time during the interview.

I guess they were checking all the girls hu-ha huh! Good thing I wasn't wearing miniskirt during the interview. laughing.gif

no PMS, no Mood Swings during periods, and you dont have to change fashion statements evry month...LOL

you're not planning on having a sex change, are you? huh.gif

That's funny

I had always questioned that about the poster, it seems like she is a little bit too big for a female

and having a man boobs is not questionable??? whistling.gif [not naming names] ;) hehehe

anyways, some are happy being bi-sexual so they can explore both ways... any bi-curios around here??? tongue.gif

I am trying to encourage the wife, but she keeps saying, "No!"

That's right! Nunca! Never!

My good friend from North Texas could have answered like this:

"My wife gets Homesick when she hears people speaking in Visayan. She is from Davao.

She does not eat Skyflakes because of too much saturated fat. She is a RN you know, and she knows about health.

Whe we go to the grocery and she sees Spinach, she is reminded of alogbati in Davao.

There are lots of smelly people here in Dallas also Especially the illegal Mexicans.

These illegal are just like some of the people in the Philippines. They like to eat at Pekpek carenderias.

Oh, I got to go! There is a Bass tournament today at Lake Fork. Maybe I'll win it again and go home with $20,000."

Pepe, I wonder where the hell is your good friend from North Texas nowadays? Hibernating maybe? What's with the Pekpek carinderias? laughing.gif Never heard of it.

huh? Pekpek carenderias? blink.gif

My husband misses his pinapaitan ang sinanglao. Me, too. But what I miss a lot are the strawberry fields near Baguio and picking the berries myself. crying.gif

Here's a discussion about pekpek carenderias. good.gif

laughing.gif Some name for a carinderia. The owner must ran out of names and that was when they
decided to be naughty. Strawberry fields are everywhere in Sonoma County. Magsasawa ka dito Linda. Miss ko na rin ang pinapaitan.

While I was having my morning walk in the neighborhood, I noticed that some people are making "sampay" their clothes over the fence and on the TV Antennae. Somehow, I wasn't surprised with the clothes on the fence, but the ones that were hanging on the Antennae reminds me of Pinas. And then I remember since all television connections have changed to Digital TV, they probably don't have use of the antennae anymore. That is why they made it into a "sampayan". laughing.gif

On my way going back to the house, the garbage truck passed by me and I noticed the driver stopped for a while and waved at me. But I noticed that the other guy on the passenger seat was ogling at me and was giving me the mirada despectiva (dirty looks). I gave him the stern face look and he was still rubbernecking when the truck passed by. Hmm, reminds me of the "tambays" in the Philippines again. What else did you notice guys?

oohhhhh i see.. so the mitake is from the certificate from bahrain...

eros u can try to call the use to give explanation maybe they will listen to u...

bcoz if sally is the only one will go there it will be 50-50% that they will listen to her.. bcoz according to u.. the co told her already she is deny... go home now... they already stopped the process bcoz of the wrong docu. think this is a serious problem with the embassy its not a small mistake....

just try to call them ok.. maybe u will find the answer if they will give her another chance to submit the right docu...

goodluck!!! star_smile.gif

Right. Call the US embassy in Manila. Find out the reason why she screwed up. Her case is not an isolated one. There is still something that can be done. Am I right?
