So I say fill out all four with your new information and include a supplement explaining the situation. Anyone else have anything to chime in on this one? (And don't whine if you do and end up with a scrwewed up wedding, screwed up visa or worse.) YES BUT YOU NEED TO PROVE THAT YOU WANT TO GET MARRIED BY PROVIDING EVIDENCES SUCH AS CATERER QUOTES!!! How do you solve the catch 22??? (It is said everywhere that you have to prove: That the couple previously met within the two (2) years of the date of filing the petition, UNLESS A WAIVER IS GRANTED; That the couple has a bona fide intention to marry; AND The couple is legally able and actually willing to conclude a valid marriage in the United States within 90 days after the foreign fiancee’s arrival.) You only have to prove you have a bonifide relationship an are both legally able to get married. In addition to NOT getting married prior to the Interview, a K-1 Visa is invalid if you get married prior to ENTERING THE US, even if it has already been issued!!! Am I wrong here? You are not wrong, and they do tend to skew the predictions, but you can still get a feel for the amount of time by only taking into account the completed timelines. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Requirements to qualify as fiance's sponsor	ok here it goes... you only need to be 100% above the poverty guidlines for a non immigrant visa. you will want to meet 125% above the poverty guidelines because of when he gets here he will have to adjust status. also it goes by your household size which would include you him and if you have any children at all. if your children do not live with you they are still counted as your household because the government considers you financially responsible for them. hope this helps Actually, each consulate has a difference policy regarding the poverty thing. In Brazil, for example, we use I-134 (unlike El Salvador or New Zealand, for example), and the sponsor is asked to be 125% above the porverty guideline. You know, I read samir_shannon's comment wrong before. The lawyer told me 125% for the interview, not 100%. Maybe it's just the French consulate's rules. *shrug* The 100% is ONLY for ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY. I don't know why people keep throwing that number out there. Large age differences will be looked at. If the man is older than the women, it is less of a problem than the woman being older than the man, in the cases of a large difference. If ages are close together, it's no issue, unless they younger than the minimum legal age to marry, or an age which requires parental/guardian permission. " That information pertains to visas other than K-1 visas. With K-1 visas, all they do is enter them into their system and send them to the appropriate consulate. Can we still use the same method as for NOA2, i mean the touch thing. Thanks in advance. You must call them during working hours and speak to an operator. You will need your "Receipt Number" from any of your NOA's. They will also want to know your fiancee's name and DOB.
