You never know what they will do, since there never seems to be consistancy between the different offices and adjudicators. The guides also tell you to turn in a letter of intent at the K-1 visa interview. When we tried to give one to the lady accepting the documents, she handed it back. So who knows. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Getting married before entering the US?	No problem... get married, and have a wonderful ceremony before coming to the US. That way, if they find out you're married already when your wife gets to her POE, she will be turned away and sent back, along with a ban. If they don't catch that at the POE, good luck with adjusting status. I wonder why they even bother with such stupid rules as not being married to file for a K-1 visa?! (But she didn't tell me it would take so many years for the first symptoms to appear.) Yodrak Phone calls and emails asking about your status (before you are out of date range) will generate a file 'touch'. That's self inflicted touching, and my mother told me that was naughty.
