Ooh Bad Planning, as has been said, nothing will progress until Biometrics are done, and i would say you are looking at a case abandoned and starting the process all over again from the I-130.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionVermont "misplaced" my case
Your file has to be there somewhere surely, i guess maybe there is no system in place to tell whose desk your file went to, therefore no accountability for it being lost.

I am glad you have some news, even though it is not the news you wanted to hear. I hope they find your file and approve you quickly.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMarriage produced child
I have two children from my wifes previous marriage, yes we sent in additional documentation, school meetings, Doctors visits, pics of family outings ect.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMarriage produced child
As you stated having a child is no proof of a legitimate marriage, Everyone is fair game for RFE/Interview if evidence is lacking in details, Having children or taking on children from Husband/Wifes previous marriage ect still needs to be well backed up with appropriate evidence of Cohabitation/Co mingling of finances ect.

ROC and AOS are totally different, as many have said it is the Bio receipt number, NOA-1 number will not work.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI'm in BIG trouble !!!!!!!!!!!! :S
Your Green card is valid for 2 years, the divorce will not be done in three weeks, once you apply for ROC based on waiver you will be given the one year extension.
As Brit abroad said, get prepared.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMust she carry her green card daily?
Why not just carry a photocopy of the Green Card whilst in the USA(if going hiking ect then a Ziploc bag is handy for keeping it and any money dry), If travelling abroad then carry the original card

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMust she carry her green card daily?
The rule is that it is supposed to be carried, i have always carried my 2 year one, i guess that a photocopy may be a good alternative and lock up the card.

Was the address to mail your Wife's Green card a proper USCIS address? as has already been stated, something sounds not right to recieve a hand written letter off USCIS, was it on the USCIS paper? do not go to your local office blowing steam, be calm and ask for the letter to be verified, some other source may have been trying a scam on you and your family.

There is no order to the way USCIS does anything, just happens as and when, just keep up the daily routine of checking mail, checking e-mail and checking online status, then think, Well maybe tomorrow

Patience is a Virtue, as you can see by the list, it happens when it happens, Nothing to do with Biometrics dates, there are lots of things being done besides a case officer checking your paperwork, FBI background checks ect.

I think that there is a big misconception with the Email system from USCIS, They should have an info message that states,

We have recieved your application and it is being reviewed/investigated, if we need something from you we will contact you by Email/Text/Mail otherwise the next contact will be informing you of the outcome Approved/Denied

Some filers seem to expect weekly type updates(not going to happen)

It should not have anything to do with Case Officers, USCIS Site says 6 month processing, also the fact that they are processing cases filed after some of you guys. when you call back ask to speak to a higher ranking officer, not a glorified phone answerer.
