Anyone have any good ideas (even if small) as to what I can do to welcome Marla home? Me and my son (8yr old - whom she has never met) will be going to pick her up at the airport and then we are going to Red Lobster (she has always heard about it and wants to eat there - she loves shrimp) and then home. I planned on having some roses there for her. Any other great ideas?

Ah.....Red Lobster. Hubby loved it the first time we went. Hated it the second and now refuses to go anymore.

How about some pampering items? My husband had no opportunites to take a bath in JA. He loved his first bath with bubbles, a bath bomb, lotion, a glass of wine and some music in the bathroom. He still does this on a fairly regular basis.

We also took the long way home from the airport so he could get a short look at the city on the way home.

I'm glad you mentioned that....b/c I just bought a new house and it has this big garden tub w/ jacuzzi. I will some candles, music, bubbles, and flowers in there.

Tonya's interview was on April 15th. You should recieve it by no later than next Tues.
The people who had their interview on the 1st of April got their visa's 6 days later. I hope (when we get approved today) that Marla gets her visa by May 8th because I would love for her to be here in 2 weeks and I will probaly go ahead and purchase the airline tickets, because they keep going UP!

I'm waiting on my NOA2.... I thought my lawyer had our visa process started back in Novemer 2006 but come to find out he left the law firm he was in and started his own firm with a few partners and he never sent in the paperwork until April 2007!! I have not seen my husband since October 2006 when we were married!! :crying: This has been a VERY long and difficult road for us. :(

I'm sorry for the delay.......Do you plan on going to see him anytime soon?

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresIncome requirements list?
I have a question? In 2005 I only made $15,000. In 2006 I made $23,000. This year I should make $28,000. I have w-2 for 2005, handwritten 10-99 for 2006 and only check stubs for 2007. Also, I have never had a checking account, I'm still old-fashioned and keep my $ on me. Will I have a problem being a sponser for my wife or should i find a sponsor?

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNo interview by I-129f approval expiration date?
My I-129f approval expires on Feb 9th 2008. I still haven't gotten my packet 3 from the embassy in Jamaica. What will happen if we don't get an interview date before 2-9-08, since that is when my I-129f approval expires?

All you have to o is list him on the I-130 and list him on the I-129f (which is used for k-3 and k-4 visas). They will go to the interview together.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures*** K-3 May and June 2007 Filers ***
Good News! Yesterday I called USCIS (1st time calling) but all I got was a generic answer like everyone else. Well today I checked my e-mail and got 2 e-mails from CHRIS. It was 2 APPROVALS, the I-130 and I-129f.

Hopefully my wife will be here by Christmas. Does any one know what the estimated time for my paperwork to get to the embassy is?

G&A: Thanks for your chart is was exact!!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK-4 visa --- cost to apply for AOS
My wife and step-daughter are from Jamaica and have been in the US for 14 months, their visas expire next May. We are about to apply for wife's green card but we don't know what to do for daughter's green card. I know I have to aplly for I-130 for her, which is about $600. My question is, can I apply for wife's and daughters greencard together and only pay 1 fee of $1010, or do I have to pay 2 fees?

Should I go ahead and file for extension as well?

Thanks for any info you are able to share.

QUOTE (Ade @ Mar 27 2008, 08:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi VJ

Would like to know if it takes a longer period to have K-1 interview date rescheduled. called the US london embassy and was informed that i missed my interview date as i did not receive the prior notice of the interview in the mail and i have been waiting for it since february. the missed date was march the 10th, i was told to email the embassy which i have done already and received the acknowledgment of receipt of the mail. I have not being feeling alright since i i learnt of the missed date. can this affect my visa? i need someone to please shed more light on this type of situation, am really mad at the so-called royalmail now cuz i figured out they were on strike around that time. unsure.gif

I had to have my k-3 rescheduled b/c I did'nt have all my forms. It took us 6 weeks to get another interview.
