K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2009 K-1 Visa Filers	When i filed my first K1 year 2006, VSC were always quick with approvals approx. 6 weeks to 2 months. while the rest of the service centers took 4-6 months for approval, and that time, there were 4 service centers for k1 visa.. and youll get so jealous with the VSc filers that you would want to move there.. but around 2007 -2008--starting to slow down.. and im so glad that theyre back to how they were before..	nydvo	Female	Philippines	2009-10-16 19:53:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-2 visa	I filed k1/k2 year 2006,.. my son was 3 years old at that time, the father signed and acknowledged that hes the father, but still my son is using my name... and never had a problem at all. We went to DSWD ( Department of Social Welfare and Development) and asked about it, and they said, as long as the mother is not married to the father of the child, the mother will have the sole custody. I mean, NEVEr... if you read the whole thread of this topic,. you will read about how he tried to escaped the divorce summons.. Well,. When US embassy in Manila looked over my documents and my FIRST k1 Application. and verified my CENOMar. and the FAct that its NOT required to report the Marriage., and at the POE Alaska., they asked me about my First k1 visa., my CENOMAR, divorce and the date when i left the US year 2007 ,. and it was defnitely before my visa expired.. they said... IMMIGRATION wise.. I am all safe.. Philippine should have stop me to leave the country and USCIS should have stop me to enter the US .,if i break any law,but knowing that they have my FIRST k1 visa application on hand and didnt break any law at all... USCIS said,. Im ok. Eventually, maybe philippines will require citizens to report their marriage so they wont be confusions like this. I went to NSO , Civil registrar's office., all kinds of lawyers and lahat na.. sabi nila... I cannot file for any annnulment or anything.. kc single ang record ko sa Philippines.. You all read the post my fiancee put here and know that the interview went very well. We had prepared for it alot and knew we had all the required papers, documents, proofs, etc.... but was just nervous about the questions that might be asked. Lets just say that I didn't believe the interview went as smooth as it did. :-) It is a big relief to be past this part of the process now. Didnt ask about my past marriage, ddnt ask why it was never reported,. She was definitely pleased that my fiance now is younger than my xhusband. Main points of the case that she checked was - married within 90 days - I left the US before visa expired - filed k1/k2 after Divorce finalized. Very unexpected quick questions: Name of fiance's parents. Name and Age of his Daughter. and she said. Your k1/k2 is approved and Welcome to America again.
