K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	when should i start my medicals for my April interview	try and contact the embassy through email as soon as you get your case number from NVC since it takes the embassy 3 weeks to reply. they sent out call in letters but sometimes it takes forever to reach or it never reaches the beneficiaries. this all cause delays. i received my call in letter though. i THINK the earlier you go for your package 3 and 4 at the embassy, the sooner date you will get for your interview. When I got my case expedited from nvc they told me that ghana accepted the expedite so I just assumed when vb I requested the expedite through nvc they had to get the ok from ghana to accept it. I guess if u r the one living in gh and u called or wrote to the embassy declining I think that may be ok but ur situation isnt going to be easy to prove...the times that shes been to gh do they overlap with when u were with ur first fiance are u the one to write the incitation to come visit u if so I would print out all 4 of the invites that u sent to her. I used small paper clips to seperate each section, ie, paperclip i-129f with money order on top, paperclip my bio w/ passport photo, paperclip for her bio w/ passport photo, paper clip for evidence... etc. nothing binding the entire package except the envelop it was mailed in. no problems, nothing lost, no rfe, and approval last week. I AGREE WITH U I DID THE EXACT SAME THING AND HAD NO RFES AND WAS APPROVED IN WEEKS I DID EACH THING SEPERATE AND A COVER LETTER ON TOP WITH EVERYTHING ON IT. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Please Help with K1 for my Peruvian fiance	I met my finace in Novmber of 2006 through an online dating service..We had rough communication until February of 2007 when we both got webcams. Great improvement since then...I visited Lima for the first time May 2007 and I have made 5 subsequent trips since then. I live in Richmond Va and my servicing center is Vermont.. My specific questions are: 1. Can the photo's that are required as evidence of a relationship be digital printed in full color 8 1/2 by 11 w/ standard color and paper or do I need the Kodak / CVS / Walmart brand of 4x5's ? 2. Emails, I have 100's do they need them all or just 5 ? 3. Phone charges - I don;t have the old phone bills but I do have over a $1500 in USA to Latin America calling cards (do i send all 500 or, can I take a picture of all 500) - is this really necacary? 4. I have majority of reciepts from my past 5 trips (HOTEL, PLANE, Itinerary's. Taxis) etc..I can confirm by at least 2 or 3 of these items I was there along with photo but I dont have all docs for all the trips. 5. I have a complete listing and reciepts of the money I sent to her for the last 14 -18 months via western union to pay for our apartment in Lima. Is this accaptable for evidence of a relationship ? 6. She is 32 and I am 45 - Is this a problem? 7. We met on a dating November 2006 - Is this a problem or, does the clock start when I arrived for the 1st time in Lima May 2007 ? It has taken me/us ($7500) and 1 year to find her ex and get him to sign the divorce decree.. I believe I am ready to submit but, I am nervous - if anyone can give me advice - I would greatly appreciate it.. Also, if possible (I have seen alot of dates/timeline posted) can anyone give me a ballpark time line from the day I send pacakage until the time she is approved to come to the USA ?? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	NAO2 Approved - What's Next ?	Hi All. I just got NAO2 in the mail today. It states that "Pettition has been approved and forwarded to the Consulate" Based on reading some threads on VJ, it appears the NVC processes the documents and forwards to the Lima Embassy (about 3- 5 days)..But some threads say, the NVC processed very quick and some took 3-5 days..Anyway, most threads state that they should call the NVC for status ? Should I do this now or, wait a week ? Also, I have not received any requests for Tax returns, Proof of Income etc. ? Can anybody tell me when this info is requested ? Will these requests come to me or, my Fiance in Peru ? Can I view the process of NVC on-line anywhere ? Also, during the interview that is conducted at the Lima embassy for her Visa - am I allowed to attend this interview or, do I have to wait in a waiting room while she is interviewed ? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Re: The 6 month club	Well, I thought I have researched the K1 process thotoughly until I found the thread - 'The 6 Month Club"..I have been patient for 2 years getting all the proper paperwork filed in Peru for us to get to the point of even applying for the K1..Everything I researched led me to believe that she would have her visa and be in the US in 6 months..All the stats available on Visa Journey confirmed this. I just recieved NA01 May 1 and, got excited until - I stumbled on this thread.. So, my basic questiobs are: 1. It appears that everyone on the thread were from the 2nd quarter of 2008, I believe this is the same timeframe when the USICS were bombarded with apps because of the app fee increase ? Can this be a true assumption >? 2. It also appears that, some if the threads had issues with extended previous tourist visa's, multiple I 129;s filed in past, address changes and variuos other red flags >? 3. Other than a few that extended into 8 or 9 months, the 6 month clubs later updates show that they did get their NA02 shortly after the 6 months.. 4. In the 4th Qrtr the USCIS news releases stated that they hired additional staff and, improved the systems and processes ? Can I assume that my research is correct based on these learnings ? I am really expecting the NA02 in about 3 to 4 months ? My Fiance told me today that a friend of hers she met on VJ from the same town in Peru recieved her NA02 today..They had NA01 as of April 22, 2009.. Has anyone seen the prior stats ? Igors list still has 50% approval rate for March - is this typical that VSC jumps around like that..I thought they would process all of March before moving on to April..This has me a bit exited, based on this 1 couple stats, My May 1 2009 NA01 may be approved in less than 5 months.. All I supplied was a complete copy of my valid US Passport, is this going to be a problem for me ? the 129F specifically states: 3. What Documents Do You Need to Show That You Are a U.S. Citizen? D. In place of any of the above, you may give USCIS a copy of your valid, unexpired U.S. passport issued with a validity period of at least five years. You must submit copies of all pages in the passport.. I did not use a Lawyer but, I did have 2 Phd's, 3 acountants and 3 auditors who's work is specifically involved w/ Govt contracts, compliance and grants.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 Timelines / process	Assuming I have no RFE's and, eveything goes smooth in Vermont the timelines on VJ lead me to believe from the NA01 until the NA02 is about 4 months (USCIS states 6 months)..It's not clear to me what happens after the NA02. Does Vermont send the NA02 directly to the Lima Peru Consulate ? I keep seeing refernce to a Visa Processing center ? I thought that was Vermont ? Again, based on VJ stats the Lima embassy process is then 30 - 60 days, but I see references for Packet 1, 2 and 3 timelines? What are these packets ? I guess, to be specific, my question is what is the process after the NA02 is approved ? I recieved NA01 May 1, 2009 - I am expecting my Finace to have her interview in 6 months from that date (November 1) and, based on VJ posts she will have her Visa in 2-3 days >? Simliar to the Igor area that has timelines and stats..It is 3am (EST) and, this has me very worried. How does an RFE work - Do they call me or, send a mailing ? OK, I should have spent more time on this site prior to submitting..I thought I was as thorough as possible but, maybe I went over board. In my submission I put a section labeled 'Evidence of Support" w/ copies of Western Union wire transfers every month for $250. My intention was to show ongoing relationship (but, I didn't state that) and, the true reason is - there was NO WAY could have stayed in the aprtment she had when we first met..The Marriot was costing me $2,000 a week and, I made 5 trips.. Also, I think got the answer to the second mistake - but the more feed back the better..I answered the question for her Father's name as 'Deceased - Unknowm)..he died when she was very young and, she was raised by grandparents. I just found his name buried on the back of her birth Certificate which I included in the I129F.. Will these draw "Red Flags" and have me rejected ? Basically is was my homegrown Match.com with international womam..25 years with an American woman - NEVER AGAIN.. A bit an ortahadox but, the sufvivani;ity of our marriage is 97%. if, my calculations are off - then a ma turning gat and moning to San Francisco. I am an american born citizen of italian decent (My grandparens came over and slaved in the coal mines of north east PA..I was married for 25 years to an american born girl and, after 25 years she did the same thing to me as you are doing to guy # 1. During the first year of my divorce - I reassesed my life and realized I dont want that to ever happen to me again.. So, I spent a year building a database extrapulted data from every dating site in anerica and around the world..To try and pinpoint what cultural girl would be perfect for me..I came up with 2 regions..They were Asia / PAC and South America..Asia was too far for me to travel, so Is spent a year in South America and found a beautiful Fiance in Lima Peru..I have been visiting her every month for 2 years and maintaing an aprtment down there for the last 18 months.. When, I seen your posting and looked back on what I went through in visits, application and support (10's of the thousands if dollars) - I find it sickening..and, based on the fact that you are Philipino - I am gald I did not visit the Asia Pac region for a wife..Did you think this was an overnight process ? Did dyou thing the US Govt doesnt have a computer and, 2 petitions would not draw a red Flag..Hey baby, this system was bulit in America not Iraq.. Your thread has been entertaitning, and I think the best advice you received is to to be honest and get 1 of the guys to to recind his petition. I noticed that USCIS updated their site to show they are now procesing apps as of March 31, 2009 and, K1 still states 6 months..Does that mean those that are processed as of March 31 will take 6 months ? or, is the 6 months from the dates NA01 recieved.. also, when an app is "touched" will it actually state on the website I registered for w/ reciept # ? and, does it state why or, what they did with it ? On May 7th I recieved NA01 letter with an NA01 date of May 1... My omly suggestion as to 'What happens next" is, read these Forums - I have come conclusion based on VJ stats and, Igors List that NA02 should be approved in 4-5 months...Barring no problems !!! I am still a bit confused on the NVC role after the NA02 is issued from Vermont..I seen where some folks got hung up at that stage..Any way I can deflect that process ? Also. Lima (Peru) specific timelime states 2 days after interview = Visa can be picked up at DHL, 1. They are half way through march and Vermont just started Febuary (according to Igors list).. is this typical ? or, is there certain times of the year that 1 center is ahead of the other ?
