Canada	August Interviews Crew - AOS Journey	Wishing, does your SSN have "valid for work only with DHS authorization" or something along those lines?? I know it's not exactly correct, but something along those lines! That's what mine says, as I was on a work visa in 2006. We're still waiting for our NoA2, so it's a long ways off... but I'm pretty sure I can just go to the SS office and show them the marriage certificate and K-1 and all that, and get it changed to my married name. I'm actually more wondering if its going to complicate anything... I don't see why, you're actually ahead in a way, because as soon as you get your marriage certificate back, you can do the name change and apply for AOS in that name too! Lucky you! Canada	August Interviews Crew - AOS Journey	Alright, well made a bunch of phone calls, and here's the deal: - Gotta apply for your SSN asap (10 days after your POE for the system to be updated) - You need the marriage certificate to change your name to your married name (duh) - In Virginia, it takes 3 weeks to get the mariage certificate back - Then you can apply for a name change... Gosh, this is complicated... I thought i'd be able to file the AOS relatively soon after we got married, but looks like it'll be in mid-October at the latest... Canada	August Interviews Crew - AOS Journey	Ok, so now I'm stressing!!! We're getting married on the 9th of September, and my I-94 expires on November 17th... That leaves me 68 days on my I-94 if I want to apply for my SSN under my married name... What should I do? I mean, it all depends also on if I get the marriage certificate right away, doesn't it? Should I just go ahead and get it? I wanted to wait so that I could fill everything under that name, SSN, driver's license, AOS... How long for a name change anyways? What do you guys think? Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. I wish you all the best for those of who are waiting.  Just wanted to let you know that there is no update for my spouse's status even though our NOA 1 date is 08/13/13. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 August 2013 Filers	All, I just received a letter from USCIS with the following notification.   This is to notify you that we have transferred the above petition to the USCIS ofice at: California service center, 2nd flr, 24000 Avila Road, Laguna, Ca   It is really weired because when I called USCIS automated messsage it states that my case has been transferred to ST.ALBANS, Vermont.   Did anyone receive a similar letter from them? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 August 2013 Filers	Since my case has been transferred to USCIS, will this delay my case further?  Are there any cases in the past that have gone though local USCIS offices and getting conditioned removed in a timely manner? I submitted a ton of evidences and I heard that normally if the case is transferred to local uscis office, interview may happen and there could be a lengthy delay. I am not sure whether they transferred my case to local USCIS office or CSC.      On September 12, 2013, we transferred your CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, to your local USCIS Office for further processing.
