Where did you get this update? You called them or received an email? On the approval notice it says "we have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC)."

Does yours say that too?

The approval say that.

But I got the update by asking for a referral. They will give you a referral id with this format "WKD0123456789TSC". And since the case is already approved ask them to expedite, they will either email or send you a letter to let you know what exactly is going on with the case.

Anyone made it to NVC yet? I'm just trying to figure out when was the last time Texas sent approved package to NVC.

I'm currently stuck between USCIS and NVC.

NOA2 date is November 8.

Last upadte from Texas was 12/09 - "Currently in the staging area to be sent. The case should be forwarded within a week."

TSC just sent my case to NVC. Approved on November 8th, shipped to NVC today.

Good luck with them, they are slow on everything. After they approved your case they will make you wait for two more months.

We received RFE hard copy.

They ask for translations of mine birth certificate and marriage certificate.

Initially we gave them international certificates provided from Macedonian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

My husband already send them e-mail how to understand them, and now he's preparing the translation to send them by post mail.

It's ok, we will gave them, maybe it's confusing because on the certificates, there is a sentence about some convention and the same sentence it's written on 10 languages.

I think someone from march fillers had it same think with translations.

Who is doing the translation for you? Can you request an english copy from your country?

Our lawyer called and he got the mail of our RFE, maybe my husband will get it later bec he isn't home yet. He said that they are requesting for my divorce decree but i gave it to them already. Meaning they ddn't translated it (bec it is in Thai). Anyways our lawyer said it would take 2 days for it to be translated. Wish we can get our approval. Do you think would be better if he also add my husband's travel itenerary to Bangkok? He has traveled 5 times already in one year. Thanks for your reply. Have a great day/evening.

You have a lawyer, did he not know that everything needs to be in english? I thought the reason for a lawyer is to make sure that it's done right the first time.

Yes I noticed that to. Well I'm filling my profile on VJ so i still don't know to fill everything at once.
It's logical to tie I-130 i I-129F, but slow down... How slower than this could it be...

After 8 months of waiting we decided to apply for K3 Visa also.

What is your priority date or NOA 1...?

Let's compare our timelines:

I-130 Sent : 02-23 02-27

I-130 NOA1 : 02-26 02-28
Transferred to Texas: 10-16 10-29

I-130 NOA2 : Wait for K3 11-08

I-129F NOA1: 10-25

Transferred to NBC: 10-30

As you notice your K3 petition is slowing you down now. It will slow you down again once you get to NVC stage, as they will do another step:

a. The NVC will administratively close your I-129F or

b. The NVC will contact you with instructions on how to process the I-130 petition to receive an IR1 or CR1 immigrant visa

Your petition was transffered to Texas before mine but I just noticed that you filed K3 on October 25th. It looks like Texas waited for your other petition. From what I've seen K3 can actually slow down the I-130 a littlle bit. USCIS will tie both I-130 and I-129F together and approve them at the same time, then goodbye K3.

I'm following you two months and i finally decided to join you I hope i filled everything correct You helped me true this past months, and i just want it to share our experience with you. Probably isn't a rule that we will all receive 3-4 letters...

I'm February filler, with priority date 26. During this months we called senator, congressmen, congresswomen... tier 1, tier 2, and as I saw you all already go true that. We received mail and letter in snail mail like you use to say, that our case is transferred to Texas on October 16, transfer date is October 16. I saw many of you received 3-4 mails, my husband received only one mail on 21 October and the letter.

Our status on USCIS web site changed from you all know that familiar sentence your case was received on 26 February... with new one:

Initial Review
The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Your case has been assigned to an adjudicator. You should get another e-mail this month. from what I have seen here two weeks after the "now being processed", they will get a RFE or an approval.

Most everyone that received the "now eing processed" notice either received a RFE or approved within 2 week. Mine was approved in 10. But there's another member who did not get approved because of another pending petition "K3".

When you call USCIS make sure you ask for a Tier 2, then asked for a service request. They will give you a service request number with this format wkd01234567890msc.

On October 24, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.
~E-mail said local office, tier 2 confirmed that it was sent to Texas. I also received the mail that it was sent to Texas.

~From what I've seen here, two weeks after this notice you will either get an RFE or approval.

I have a question. Once I get the biometrics appoinment letter, how early I could try walk in instead of waiting until the day of my appointment date? Will this have any effect(speed/slow) on my application? Also can I go to a different ASU than the one that will be listed on the Biometrics letter? Any adivse would be greatly appereciated.
