She'll never get any real work done The amount of work it took just to find out the info for her own NOA1 date was amazing.. adding in the day before and after hers was going above and beyond But.. she likes statistics, so she might just add that date in.. or maybe explain how you can do it yourself.. but it will take you several hours!! Be prepared! I tried it, but just didn't have the patience or the time.. and since we had the same NOA1 date, I just let her do all the work and I feel like I owe her for that!!!! Got an email from the consulate with instructions for packet # 3. I'm going to call DOS later and see if they still tell me it has not been received OK.. next time I leave instructions before I go to sleep, I had better be more specific.. This is where you will go when you do AOS and need to do Biometrics and interviews. Mine is two hours away from where I live. You can do a search for yours on the internet. Just put in : Immigration offices in XXXXX ( Whatever city or state you live in) This should pull up the place closest to you. When you actually do AOS, they will send you a letter telling you which office you have to go to, so don't worry if you can't find it. Worked my butt off today, doing inventory in one of our stores, and I am actually going to go to bed NOW. It's only 7:30 Here are my instructions to all of you When I wake up in the morning, and log on this computer, I want to see great news like we did this morning. If that does not happen, I may just have to drive up to Vermont and have a talk with them.. Don't they know I get more work done when I wake up to good news? This woman was not so pleasant and told me that it hadn't been that long and that I should just be patient. I told her it was sent on 10/27 and that the DHL website was showing packages sent on 11/2 had arrived today. Her response.. "you know how the government works. They told you it was sent on 10/27, but then it went to someone's desk.. and then probably to another desk.. and then to the mailroom.. and then maybe actualy got picked up two or three days later.." Well, even if that happend it would have been picked up, sent and delivered by now. I am sure it actually is there.. but I just want some OFFICIAL notification that it has been received.. I have this strange feeling it's going to take longer to go from NVC to the consulate than it took to get NOA2 ( if I wouldn't type so darn fast, I wouldn't make so many typos and wouldn't have to edit so often ) Edited by Jenn and Fuat, 05 November 2009 - 02:18 PM. On the 9th of November, .Me and my son will fly to Manila for almost 2 hours and will do the medical this week. and Interview next week. I think im more scared to do the medical exam coz of the vaccination compared to doing the Interview.. My greatest fear by the way are Needles,. lol GOodluck to all of us here.... WOW.. looking at the list, there are only 9 more of us from VSC in the thread that are waiting! Come on VSC, you can knock out 9 today.. and CSC.. Could you just give us at least ONE! Please???!!!! Then it would really be a big party!! I've only been on this site since September, but I have read a lot of the other threads for particular months, and I have to agree that the people in this group really are outstanding when it comes to giving support and communicating with each other. The Embassy's are REQUIRED to respond, i.e. contact the politician when a decision is made. It's good because as I understand it there is an appeal process for the Fiance visa, so if it came to that, it's good to have your representative involved early. We actually had a letter of invitation, from a State Senator, the second time we applied for the visitor visa. Didn't help.. still denied. Didn't get a letter this time, but haven't needed it so far. If we get denied at the interview, we will appeal and I will definately get some involvement at that time! Just like you we got a senator's letter for the second visitors visa and it didn't help. But since we did that then, all it took was a 1 min phone call to get one with the fiance visa. can't hurt. definately can't hurt.. the more prepared you are the better. I'm kind of wishing I had done this, but so far we've been good.. so hoping I won't need to make a phone call later. The date on the Hard Copy will show you when the NOA1 was actually issued. That is your actual NOA1 date, not the day you got the hard copy. It's listed on the section of the form titled NOTICE DATE. I would hate to have to delay an interview because I had not gotten everything ready. Check out your the web page for your consulate and see what else they require. For Turkey, we had to have the DS-230, DS 156, DS 156K and DS 157 .. the I-134 and supporting documents, police reports, birth certificate, English translations of police report and birth certificate, full photo copy of his passport, a letter of intent from me re-affirming the first letter I wrote for the initail petition. Most Consulates seem to require the same things, but I have seen some that just say to bring these with you and not send ahead of time. We actually had a letter of invitation, from a State Senator, the second time we applied for the visitor visa. Didn't help.. still denied. Didn't get a letter this time, but haven't needed it so far. I'm also wondering if we may have some other people out there who have actually gotten it and it the USCIS web page hasn't updated yet? Didn't we have one person who got the hard copy before they got a text or an update on the web page? I am not so confident in how quickly they update everything.. Every time I have called NVC I am told something different and now, just trying to find out the exact date my file got to the consulate has been impossible. I was told by NVC it was sent out on 10/27.. I have a contact in Turkey who has told me that it is there.. EVERY file mailed to Ankara between 10/27 and 10/31 has been delivered.. yet today, when I called DOS to find out the date it was delivered I was told it hadn't been delivered yet and that it could be another week. She also told me that it was sent out on 10/27 with next day delivery. So.. next day delivery takes 6 days plus wait another week? I know there was a Turkish National Holiday, and then the weekend.. but what she said just made no sense.. not to mention that someone in Ankara has told me it's there, but can't tell me what date it got there. Looks to me like computer records are not being updated. So.. maybe everyone should be watching their mailboxes instead of their cell phones and online accounts.
