Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On August 28, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

Woohoo! kicking.gif I just the email from CRIS saying that they sent the notice today. G&A please update smile.gif

Davejaz42107,

Congrats. VSC does it again. Any word on your I-129F?

Also, are you a "standard" applicant, or do you qualify for any expedited process such as military deployment?

Others reading this thread,

If you have received or do receive approval and you are on some type of expedited track, please note this in either your timeline comments and or your signature or post on this thread. This will help with the majority going through a "standard" process. I have seen on some threads people get upset and overreact because someone is way faster then they are. There can be reasons for this. A simple comment of "Expedited process for military deployment" or other similar note would be great.

Thanks,
Robin

Thanks Robin,

I am a standard applicant. I have never been able to view my I-129F since it was sent out. I did get a notice a little while ago telling me that it had been transferred to VSC as well to expedite the process. I'm not military though, just a lonely husband seeking to get his wife here as soon as humanly possible smile.gif

At least that is a somewhat direct answer from USCIS. Its alot better than the evasive explainations they commonly throw our way. :) (eg. just wait 30 days or 45 days) It would explain why many of us cannot view our info online. I would just really like to know and understand the difficulty that goes into uploading info into the online system. I know the paperwork is a hassle I'm sure but once its checked and ready to be put into the system...why the delay? Sorry if I'm ranting, I'm very inquisitive tonight.

Hey guys, just a question. Should I be worried that I still can't view my I-129F progress online? I got the snail mail telling me that my I129F was transferred to VSC for faster processing so I know its moving but is anyone else still having trouble viewing their I-129F NOA1 online with an MSC #? Should I just chalk it up to USCIS negligence?

Hey Guys! I got a transfer notice via snail mail from the National Benefits Center. I just got the notice today but the notice has a date of July 24th. My I-129f has been transferred to the VSC to "speed up processing" I'm happy though, at least the petitions moving again. I'm not in idle anymore ;) G&A can you please update?

Just received email of 129F being transferred to California Service Center. Is that a good thing?

Yes and no. Yes because it means your 129F is passing hands and the process is moving another step closer. No because CSC unless I'm mistaken had been statistically overwhelmed with apps and they're running a bit slow. I guess the same could be said for all of the centers now huh? :) All in all its a step in the right direction Raj. No worries

Thanks Everyone, for all you good wishes! I still can't believe it happened. I'm not at all a 'lucky' person - I keep waiting for a meteroite to hit my house to balance this out. ^_^ OTOH, maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket!
I'll check in from time to time to see how you all are progressing, I'm amazed that nobody has a NOA2 yet.
Hang in there, maybe we're starting to pass thru a 'good spot' in the universe and things will start to move again soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

Sadly RocksAnne, I don't even know if my info was trans or not. They say my receipt number is still invalid after 3 weeks arrival. They told me it could take up to 30 days to see it online. I want to call but I don't want to give them leverage if its before the 30 days. At least if I call them after they have to give me a different answer. :)

:joy:  Hi All ! :joy:
I had to wait a few days to get confirmation, but I am finally able to make an official announcement about this! I got some amazing news on my situation!
As some of you might have noticed on some of my other posts, I not only had an application in for an I-130 and an I-129F, but also was pursuing a claim to derivative US Citizenship thru my father. In order to get proof of US Citizenship, I had to file a passport application. However when I went in for my passport interview earlier this year, the consulate was extremely discouraging about my chances of getting it- even though I thought I had a pretty good amount of evidence to prove my case. So I decided to go ahead and risk the money and inconvenience of filing the visa forms at the same time, so I wouldn't have wasted any time if the citizenship case fell through.

Well to my joy, a couple of days ago I got a phone call from the consulate informing me that my US passport application had been approved and that I was indeed, a US Citizen already!!!!

I do have to mention something - although I had been trying to get information on my citizenship case for months from the consulate, they didn't respond at all and it wasn't until after I contacted a congressman to intervene on my behalf, that I got this call. So if any of you are having problems with your visa applications and wondering if you should contact a congressperson for help, I say go for it! Congresspeople Rock!!!!

I am still in shock over this! I have a sort of guilty feeling about announcing this here, as I know everyone else still has to go thru this horrible ordeal of interviews and fees and separations from their loved ones. I guess the good news for you all is that as I withdraw my applications, it leaves two interview spots for you guys to fill up faster!

I would like to thank everyone here for their wonderful support, help, tips and advice. For listening sympathetically when I wanted to rant, and for your patience when I asked the same question for the nth time. Good luck to you all and I hope the NOA2 logjam breaks soon.

I'd especially like to thank G&A for the fantastic chart, which you may now remove my name from! (L)

WOW Congrats RocksAnne! You might consider playing the lottery today too! We're both very happy for you! :)

davejaz42107,

- I don't think the status you got into is yours, it clearly say I485 Application, yours is I-129F,

- I think you went way far on trying to guess the right number your case has, and you end up stepping into somebody else's status, that happened with me when I read my case number wrong from my check image for my I-130, I end up stepping into employment application.

So don't worry or get confused, the number you got after changing the last 2 digit isn't yours.

That's my thought, and by the way I just received my NOA1 for my I-129F, and I have the same invalid message

I think USCIS is confused :P Why do I have that number stamped on my check if it wasn't for me? Perhaps I don't understand the system well enough nor the entry process for apps. I would imagine it wouldn't take too long to enter I-129F as received and pending. As it took virtually no time to enter the I-130 into the online system once I recieved my first NOA1. I'm just ranting and try very hard to be patient. Sorry, I can't help it. :P

Heys guys,

After being told that I would have to wait 30 days for the number on my NOA to pass through the system. I tried again today and still invalid. However....just for giggles, I tried the number they stamped on the back of my check that began with MSC its two numbers off from my NOA and it did actually work. Here's what I read:

Receipt Number: MSCXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case received and pending.

?????????
I'm confused...

I'm guessing I'm way off because they said they recieved this on July 5th. My NOA1 says they recieved my I-129F June 28th.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

P.S. ..wintime..Im sorry I went to bed soon after posted.. Im glad you got ur answers.

Sorry AhmadGwen4evr,

I've been waiting nearly two weeks from when I recieved my NOA1 (129F). They still haven't inputed it in the system yet. The immigration officer told me it could take up to 30 days. All I can tell you is to try and be patient :) Belated congrats on the NOA! :D

Hey guys, just got off the phone with USCIS because the number on the back of my cashed check was totally off from the one on my NOA1. I tried again today to use the automated system and both numbers came back invalid. I was transferred to a rep who tried the inputing both numbers and then escalated me to an immigration officer. The immigration officer told me that the receipt number on the NOA was the valid one. I then asked her why on my I-130 that the numbers matched on both check and NOA, and info online was available immediately. Yet on my I-129f the numbers on the check and on the NOA were completely off and invalid on both their systems. She told me that the (MSC) number on the back of the check is processed differently and that there are several reasons why it might be different. (She is the immigration officer, but that response sounded strangely like BS) When I asked her to cite some examples of said reasons she got all flustered and could not provide me a single one  I then asked that if the NOA is indeed, the valid receipt number, what time frame could I expect to see info online. She said, "Well sir, that could take up to 30 days" 30 days just to put into the system?? I know Divine Mercy went through this and said hers was available in a week. I'm hoping and checking. :D I'm still befuddled as to why they would provide you a number that's not even active in the system yet though ;). The journey continues...

I can add my info too as I'm a June filer for I130. I will be doing the I129 this week. See timeline below.

Are you sure June 31st is right ? ;)

Hello folks! I just got my NOA1 for I-129F!!! However like G&A, I am having trouble getting the MSC number to work. It says it does not exist. :( Any suggestions?

There was a difference with my NOA1 MSC number and the one of the back of the cheque. Maybe there's a mistake on your NOA1 ? Have you tried calling to see that your MSC file number is right ?

The two numbers are definitely different but neither the one on the check or on my NOA1 works. How do I get a live rep at USCIS without a working receipt number?

I've attempted to create a signature inline with a few others I've seen here, to better keep track of changes and hopefully you can add me to the file from that info :)

I130 filed in April
K3 in May
I130 NOA1 - still not received :crying: Is this unusual? We chased is after 1 month and were told to wait until the end of 2 months before chasing it again :(
K3 NOA1 - received

Both forms are now being processed in Chicago, hope that's a good thing rather than a bad thing (but after being told they are not the fastest at even sending out receipts, I do worry).

Hey all,

I too just recieved a package from the VSC. Unfortunately it was not an NOA1. They rejected my petition! :crying:
In my haste, I had forgotten to sign the actual I-130. (I swore I checked it 5x) *bangs head repeatedly against the wall* I sent it back today. Oddly enough, I noticed my check was attached with stamp that said deposited. Also there was a sticker that was on my I-130 petition that began with EAC. G&A, am I still considered a May filer even though I had to refile again today? ;) I'll keep you all updated.

pkewl, noted the date. This is not a bad turnaround time. you are the first to get the NOA1 in the May filers group (at least per the table). You get a red bar. (you will see what i mean when i post the next update). Just waiting for more changes...

Just a minor update: As of yesterday, the check did clear my account. The transaction was posted today with yesterday's date on it.

NOTE: One of the main reasons I am sharing this info is to let you all know that, YES, on the back of the check, it does have my Case or Receipt number. Having already received the actual NOA1 in the mail, I can verify that. So, for all the people keeping track of their case's progress thru bank transaction(Check clearance), in case if you dont get your actual NOA1 in the mail or if there is some kind of delay, then you can still use the WAC****(at least it was "WAC" in my case) number from the back of the check to keep track of your case's progress.

Hope this helps. Good Luck to all.

Oh so the banks are a little behind, that is encouraging. I will check mine too again, its probably already been cashed.

Check got cashed today!!!! Will wait for NOA1

no it is a manual process. VJ has a lot of stats here http://www.visajourn...eline/stats.php that are automatically updated based on the data members enter in their timelines (as you did).

This table is just a short summary of April/May/June K3 filers..

Hi All,
As promised, I wanted to update everyone on my case. As updated in my signature, I received NOA1 for my wife's I-130 today, which was received by CSC on 05/17/07. :)

However, there are some strange things (maybe personally for me) that I observed with my case and I wanted to share with other people here to see if they are having similar experiences .

1) As of today, 06/06/07, my check still hasn't cleared my bank account. I just checked online before this post. The only thing that I can think of is maybe there is a delay on my bank's side of update, which I doubt since its a national bank and hasn't been the case in the past.

2) The "Notice Date" in the NOA1 is 06/01/07 but I received the notice letter just today in the mail. Apparently, it was mailed on 06/04/07.

Anyhow, I am sort of happy that I am atleast seeing some baby steps taken in my case. It was just getting little frustrating with everyday passing by and not getting the NOA1.

I wish e'one here(including me) all the best for some positive progress in their case.

G&A: Next time when you update the sheet, can u please update my info. Thanks a lot. Appreciate ur time and help.

Congrats Pkewl! :)

LOL, if only that was true. DELBROS sending our payment of document verification in this late will have no effect on the process. Meryll showed the receipt after the interview, when the man tried to charge her the fee a second time, and the process started then instead on on January 7th as it should have. The National Statistics Office began their verification of documents after the interview, so we are being treated as if we paid the fee after the interview. The purpose of paying the fee before the interview is to have the verification completed by the interview.

Thanks for the cheerful thoughts though.

I'm sorry to hear about the delay guys. Jaz and I are now worried about the same thing. We called DELBROS and, so they say, we are showing as paid and should be all set. For some strange reason, the cynical side in me is twitching... tongue_ss.gif I hope you guys are together really soon. You guys have waited your time and its awful to keep you guys (or any of us for that matter) apart any longer. You have our thoughts and prayers. smile.gif good.gif

Urge, I'm glad to hear that the interview is set in stone but I can understand your distress considering the time gap. No one gets left behind in this board smile.gif We will still be here when you go through the interview. =) Congrats to everyone else on their visa progress as well good.gif
