I was wondering what the average time between approval and interview was for us. I am hoping it doesn't push into June because that could cause some issues with Ali already being in the States on a visitor's visa, he'd have to fly back to Amman for the interview. Does anyone know roughly how many workers there are at VSC? is it a tiny hole-in-the-wall? Because I was thinking, even if there are only 15 case workers who actually are in charge of doing work, there should be a crazy-low minumum of one case per day per worker---that's 15 a day and 75 a week...is that a ridiculous assumption? okay, even if there are only 5 workers and two are out sick each day and we are left with three, there should be at least 15 cases approved a week. So far I have deciphered that Mel1990 is 70th on Igor's list for what it's worth! I moved up from being almost 450th to 150th in only two weeks! holla! It may be moving faster than we think due to lack of updates and non-VJ members applying. But, it also may be moving just as slowly as we think. It fluctuates and goes back and forth between CSC and VSC being efficient. All we can do is countdown the days until we can start making phone calls. It does suck, but we have to just hang in there. We are stronger than this. It's 5, 6, 7 months out of a lifetime. It's like a dentist appointment, sucks while you're in the chair, but after the visit you soon forget about the pain. That was a lame comparison but hopefully you get what i mean. It's easy to be consumed by the wait, but it's healthier to just get yourself excited about whatto do when the wait is over. It is indeed a small and immeasurable sampling, but you can still use it to give yourself a glimpse of your standing. For example, I have about 525 registered VJ users who filed before me and are still awaiting NOA2. However, many may not have updated after receiving it. I assume it's actually about three or four times that number but it gives me something to latch onto even if it's not accurate. For some reason i was stronger when i left this time. partly because we were in an airport and he begged me not to make the security guards wonder why i was crying so hard, and partly because i think i have an incredible amount of faith that i will see him soon. After not seeing him for 14 months straight, four or five didn't seem too, too awful. keep busy and hopefully our noa2s will be flying off the shelves soon! Absolutely. However, it is even more miserable if you don't make an attempt to spin it on a positive note. For example, although I don't know when my wedding will actually take place, i have spent weeks looking at fabrics, color combinations, venues, food, music, dresses....you name it! I have lists going so that when we get the go ahead, I can quickly obtain everything I need at the lowest possible price because I have researched it all. This separation is also giving me time to adjust to a new job and try and get several things in order financially so that I can support Ali. Is it ideal? No. Do I hate it? Yes. But if you can't look at the glass as half full you are going to be in no shape to handle the stress that the interview brings with it. We have every right to feel slighted and ignored, but it's not healthy or helpful for us to maintain a level of pissyness (word?) Positive thinking goes a long way! If he doesn't get hired or have any bites by 46 days, we get married that day! Ha. He is so worried about getting married when I'm the one providing for him. He is a bit embarrassed so we compromised. However, part of me just wants to drag him off the plane and to the court house off-topic question, anyone else on here going to have their fiance meet their friends and family for the first time when they come here?
