USCIS Service CentersOutside the 5 month process times
I have called about once a week for the last two weeks and Monday the 7th I tried to put in a service request. They said I can't because we are inside the 15 days (our NOA1 is July 31st and they are working on the 17th) so "technically" we should have a response before the 15 day window an officer has to contact us about the service request. I told the woman that made no sense because I know they won't be on to July 31st by then as they have been working on July 17th since the 3rd of January. It is just frustrating that there is no straight answer to when this initial process will be over. Our July 6th wedding is quickly approaching and I am stressing out that there might be no groom!

USCIS Service CentersOutside the 5 month process times
I spoke with USCIS yesterday and they are still on July 17th...it is taking them about a week to process each day. Big bummer but still keeping a positive mindset!

USCIS Service CentersOutside the 5 month process times
Our 5 month processing time passed on New Years Eve with the CSC. I called on the 29th and the woman said I have to wait until the 31st passes and call again and they can give me more information. I am going to call tomorrow (the 2nd) when they are open but I don't know what they are going to tell me. Based on timelines here they are more or less on time and people that filed around the same time as us are already approved. I am not too worried about getting it but as you have all felt it is just a nerve wracking time and I want to know how much longer we have to wait. What have people heard from USCIS once they called after the processing time passed? Also, did you get your approval online first, at USCIS, or via mail?

THANKS!

USCIS Service CentersCSC working on July 17th K1 visas.....still

I contacted the Senator on December 20th (5 months almost exactly after NAO1). Im not sure if it helped or not, but I will say that if it didn't, it is a huge coincidence to have received the NOA2 so shortly after. Good luck!

What did you say to your Senator?

USCIS Service CentersResponse from Senator
I contacted our senator and was passed on to his immigration liaison. She was incredibly helpful. She told me to stop calling the USCIS 800 number because they know nothing and they will just make you crazy. She also contacted an officer for me and two days later we had an RFE. Coincidence? I doubt it. Our NOA2 came yesterday, a week after they received our RFE. Keep your heads up guys and contact your senators...maybe you will have the same luck we did!

USCIS Service CentersAfter receiving I-797? What's next?

Thanks. It says the i still need to wait for 4-6 months before i can receive a NOA2. Is there anything i can do to expedite the process in USCIS? Is it possible to call them and explain my situation? As i've mentioned my wife is 4 months pregnant now. Should i give up thinking she can give birth here?!

You should contact your senator, they can help expedite the process. You will have to sign a privacy waiver and will probably need some sort of proof that your wife is pregnant. Good luck!
