I-864 question 23 Current Individual Income, should i used my last year income for my current income?

every year my income is different plus i get bonus every month between $500 to $600

this year my hourly rate is $14.25 plus bonus.

if i get $14.25x40= $29640, bonus $550x12=6600

$29640+6600= $36240, should my current income would be $36,240, right??


one more question, how does DS-3032 accepted? i email on the 29th

this is what i will submit with i-864 form
1. bar-corded cover sheet
2. letter of employment
3. 3 years tax transcripts ( 2008, 2009, 2010)
4. four most current pay stubs

Got a RFE checklist from NVC via email today about missing document said they haven't recieved ds-230 and NVC want me to send with a checklist bared code cover sheet or it will delay my wife interview visa processing and my question that I already sent out my ds-230 package yesterday with bared code sheet will they still delay my paperwork?

The inlstructions have not changed yet. We need to use black ink pen only to fill the forms with hand or type the form. We can use either black or blue ink pen to sign.

The problem with black ink is that the document could easily be thought to be a copy, if the black ink pen is not good one. So it is safe to use blue ink pen. But as long as one uses good black ink pen, it is fine. I even called NVC and confirmed before actually sending my I-864 with good black ink and DS-230 was signed by wife in blue ink. We had no issues. I sent mine after this thread was intially posted.


My wife fill out DS-230 and signed with blue ink pen, I hope they except it.

My wife read some article about NVC couple month ago and she told me that NVC only accepted DS-230 with a blue ink but the I-864 you can sign with black ink.

what if you wrote a case number on the top corner with a pencil will they accept?

Sorry, if you are confused. Let me make this simple.

We can send either original or a certified copy of the original.

If we send the original, we also need to enclose a copy of the original, so that the original is returned at interview.

If we send a certfied copy of original then there is no need to enclose a copy and the certified copy will not be returned.



Thanks Nayvk, I clearly understand now.

I sent a certified copy with a additional photocopy but one of my photocopy didn't show a director signature because a certified document is a little bit longer than plain A4 paper. I didn't know until I just look at agian. Hope i don't get RFE.

For the I-130 you only need a copy of the marriage cert. not the original or certified copy.

The IV packet you need to send an original and a copy (not certified) a plain regular copy.

At the interview you will get your originals back but it's good to have another original just in case they ask for it.



You can send either an original or certified copy with the IV packet, if you send your original then you included a photocopies.

While waiting for our case to get to the NVC we're trying to get started on the paper work.
I've been trying to find an answer to my question by searching the forum but since our case is kinda special I haven't found anything. I don't know what to put down for q. 10 "permanent address in the U.S. where you intend to live... and name of a person who currently lives there".

My husband (a U.S. citizen) has been in Norway with me for some months now but he's maintained his domicile in the U.S. He's kept his job in the U.S. (he works remotely right now) and he owns a house there. We intend to live in the house he owns, so we'll put that address down, but at the moment a friend of ours is living in the house and looking after it for us. Should we put our friend's name down or my husband's name as the person who currently lives there? Our friend will move out when we go to the U.S. and my husband gets all his mail and utility bills to the house in the U.S. still.

I'm worried that not doing this right will delay the process somehow...

This question means where you intend to live when you arrived in the U.S. So if you live with your husband then you going to put his name and addess where he stay at.

I just wanted to know what are the chances the consulate will let me go in with my wife for her interview when we get one in HCMC?


the officer will let you go inside the building with your wife but you have to wait at the waiting room while she interview with the consulate. I heard nowadays if your bring your spouse they will interview you too but not together.

NO, is means that one of your package is incorrect or missing documents, it could be a false RFE. NVC will email you all the information, just check your email daily.

When I got my case and invoice number on the July 28th and i signed in to pay my AOS fee is show "not invoiced" but then after 4 business days later i can paid...
