Nice job Dianne, I am wondering where they need the POE since I won't know that until I buy a plane ticket. It could be Guam, LAX, SFO or Houston depending to which flights are available.

Houston, Texas

Hi Melanie,

Hubby, myself and our boys will be in Spring, TX this summer to spend time with hubby's family who live there now. I heard that there are a lot of Filipino restaurants in Houston. Can you recommend some good ones?

thanks,
Xenia

The only Filipino restaurant I've tried in Houston is U.S. HWY 59 south exit Bissonnet next to Burger King. It's called Filipinana and has a buffet everyday and live music on weekends. The chicken adobo is delicious.

I agree to all ....age really dnt matter till you know whats in ur heart.I am 56 and he is 31...so theres a 25 yrs age difference.Somepeople look at us when they hear of it. So long our compatibility goes its fine and great. It may cause some trouble when we get more elder say after 15 yrs or so ...but then you can decide future from today.Yes so long Love is concerened age doesnt matter.

*************

Hope you don't mind if i ask you >>>How do you deal with your young partner when it comes to his personal needs...like you know what i mean? unsure.gif don't need to reply if you feel not to ok...

ha do u feel (that ) stops at 56, im sure they have just as normal life as anyone would, whatever age, live each day because you dont know what will happen the next

52 and 21 . 30years 9 months difference. Age was not mentioned during our interview. Just my opinion but I don't think the U.S. government can discriminate based on age except for the job of President (35?).

they can and they do, but you will never see it written as a reason to deny, seems some embassy its ok especially if the man is older, turn it around with the woman older and they start changing the rules

Well I don't know about your case but if a embassy employee is not following the law and rules maybe you need to get a lawyer involved.

What documents are acceptable as proof of identity and foreign status?
IRS has streamlined the number of documents the agency will accept as proof of identity to obtain an ITIN. There are now 13 acceptable documents.
An original, or a certified or notarized copy, of an UNEXPIRED passport is the only document that is accepted for both identity and foreign status.

I recieved a letter from the IRS in Sept. 2007 that for a foriegn spouse I must submit a valid passport. Some of those acceptable ID's in the instructions do not apply for foreigners. They did reject a certified copy of her passport from DFW office in the Philippines. Here is the number for ITIN information 215-516-4846. I hope this will help.

I have the same question too. I was reading the W-7 today and it said it should be filed with TAX paper which and it drove me crazy because I thought we should be used in the Tax paper. I know it can be done

Yes I applyed for a ITIN for my foreign wife with my tax return last year (2006 tax year). You will need to send her passport in with your tax return. They will return her passport to your filing address in about six weeks with her ITIN number.

what if I don't have her passport. On the form they put other document like USCIS and others

They only seem interested in a passort (no copies). I tried with a BC and marriage cert. 1st which they sent back to me and ask for a passport. I had my wife express mail her passort to me via UPS and I gave it back to her next trip.

Very strange, I thought the reason the CIS doubled their fees in August was so they could hire more help and speed this process up faster. It seems to be getting slower.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHow many of you have sent original documents to NVC ??
The NVC wants originals then completes it's case and sents us a embassy appointment letter directing us to their web site which says Ensure that all necessary original documents will be available at the time of the interview? Does this mean I have to get all those documents again? Or will we just need the passort, OF-230-I, OF-230-II, photos, and supporting evidence of relationship?
