US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 question

Thanks for the examples...quick, simple and to the point...that's what I'm after! :jest:

...oh, and also reminding you to notarize the I-134 Affidavit of Support but i'm sure you know that already. Good luck!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 question
So far during my interview, I submitted the ff. :

1. I-134 Affidavit of Support
2. Bank Letter
3. Employer's letter
4. 2005 1040EZ Income Tax Return
5. 2005 W2

Those are my financial documents and there was no problem.

Below is an advice from my agency but you dont really need to follow it, just my 2 cents.
(sometimes the bank will give you your financial information a different kind, but it's alright)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FORM I-134 AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT

You will need a letter from your employer and a letter from your bank
the following is what the letters from your Bank and your employer need
to say, the letters should be on Bank or Employer letterhead
respectively.

The bank letter should say this and nothing more. It should be on Bank
Letterhead, Dated, addressed to “To whom it may concern” and as close
as possible to the letter below, they do not want the type of account or
the account number Just what is below.

To whom it may concern.

(Your Full Name) has an account at this bank, which was opened on (the
date the account was opened). The total deposits for the last year
were (the total amount deposited in the last 12 months) and the present
balance is (the amount in the account at the time this letter was
written)

Signed (officer of the Bank)
(Title of bank officer)

This bank letter is short and to the point it needs nothing else.

Sample employment letter. This letter should also say nothing more than
what is below. This should be on company letterhead and dated and
addressed to “To whom it may concern”.

NOTE: This employment letter not needed if you are self-employed.

To whom it may concern.

(Your full name) is employed by (the full company name) as a (your job
title) He has worked for this company since (the date you went to work
for them)... He derives an annual salary of approximately (the amount)
and his prospects for continued employment are good.

Signed by your supervisor or boss. This is all this letter needs to
say, nothing more.

When you get these letters make copies of each and keep them. PLEASE
NOTE: These letters do not have to be notarized.

Sorry to hear about that.

You know, honestly, I think your fiance should've never admitted to smoking pot. Yes, honesty is necessary in this process, but I don't think there would've been any way for the doctor to find out about an isolated pot smoking incident that happened a year ago unless your fiance still smokes pot, in which case it would show up in his urine.

i guess some things are better left unsaid? i dont know . . i do wish you both can find a way to be together though. 3 years of long distance is hard. Have you thought of moving with him for the meantime? Sorry to hear bout your situation. (F)

Hi PW,

;)
Hi all,

The people at the st luke's clinic will determine which shots you need and will provide those to you (typically) on the 2nd day of your medical exam for free

from my experience, i was only given the MMR shot (mumps, measles, rubella) and i was given a sheet of paper telling me i need to get the Td shot (tetanus/diphteria) in the US (because apparently they dont have that vaccine here -- some people have said tho that if you have a private doctor or such in the philippines you can probably get that shot but it's a bit expensive)

i havent asked how much this Td vaccine costs here so i cant share that info with you...neither do i know how much it costs there

anyhow, just wanted to assure you that the shots is the last thing you should worry about...the people at st luke's have got that covered

goodluck!

how painful is it (the shots) ? :( I'm gonna have my medical on the 12th and i'm scared.. grrrr.. why do we have to go through this... ?! :( :(

Hi again PW. Our case was received at Manila 22 May 2006. I tried to call the number 5286300 loc 5184, but the lady there directed me to call the US Embassy Manila Call Center at 1-909-101-7878. I was informed to wait between 3 to 6 months for the K-packet.

Congratulations to djcess for getting their interview date. Good luck on the interview.
By the way, how long did you guys receive packet 4 from NVC receipt date? I heard in Manila USembassy they don't send out packet 3 anymore, yes?
NVC receipt date or Manila Embassy Receipt date? I don't know the answer on the first stuff but I know that on the Pre-Interview Notice, they say it takes 180 days from the day Manila Embassy receives the case for you to get the packet. Don't worry djcess, the process seems to speed up these days so you may get the packet less than 180 days.

The embassy still sends out packets. But there are numerous cases that beneficiaries don't get to receive packets due to some reasons (e.g. Undeliverable address). On these cases, they call the embassy and request to send their packets to St. Lukes and they just pick them up on their medical day (Window F, Ground Floor).

thanks! I'll be calling the embassy around June i guess... :)

Hello JoelandAnalyn, we can add another list for CR-1 cases. Please provide me the dates for the following: NOA2, embassy receipt, packet receipt, interview date (if known), Manila case number and your homestate and wife's hometown.

Spunky66, if you want to be included in our list, please provide info as requested above. Yeah, these jargons can really stump you sometimes  Here's a quick list of jargons.

SO - significant other
USC- United States citizen
CFO - Commission on Filipinos Overseas
DOB/POB - date of birth/place of birth
POE - point of entry
AR - the dreaded Administrative Review
NOA1/NOA2 - Notice of Action 1/2
PM - private message
BC - birth certificate
MC - marriage certificate
Cenomar - Certificate of No Marriage (is this really the correct meaning?)

Any one else who wants to be included in our list? Just give me a yell.

Updated to add Charsiimogen's packet receipt date.

Hey, I need help. :help: I'll be doing the CFO thing soon and I was wondering what was the easiest way to get to SMEF-COW place....I'm not very familiar with the Aurora Blvd area. I was looking at the Location Map they have online  butttttttttttttttt....hmmm...lolol....obviously cant imagine any of the landmarks.

I'll be commin from Makati, Edsa...If I were commuting should I take the MRT? Bus? where do I get off? Would it be advisable if I just brought a car? Does anyone know if there is a safe parking space inside the compound?

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Hi! I'll be attending the CFO soon too and I was wondering, how many handwritten letters do you have from your fiance and visa versa? Our agency told us that we should have at least 60 letters... 30 from me and 30 from my fiance? how true is that? This is the only thing that's causing the delay since writing that much letters takes a lot of time. (we email n call, n chat so we dont really write letters but are forced, hehe)

Hi everyone. I have a quick question but a little bit complicated. Someone I know got divorced within just 1 year of marriage. She came here on a fiance visa, got her conditional permanent resident card. I know she can't remove her conditional status. What happens next? I believe she should leave the country am I correct? Thanks.

She's still staying in the US.

She can remove conditions with a wavier provided that the marriage was in good faith.

Thanks for your reply. So if she removes that she can stay? As far as the marriage, all I can say is it's definitely not.
