I was wondering, does my fiance (the petitioner) needs to have $16,500 (for a household of 2 persons) in his bank account to show that he can support the poverty level 125% for I-134? or does that only apply for the I-864? Oh, if and only if, he does need to have that... do we require a co-sponsor if his yearly income is $40,000 even though his bank account does not reach the 125% poverty line? pls do reply! thanks. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	@%?$! interview date!!	Okay, so july interview is out for Manila USembassy today! I was so excited, I was hoping that I would finally be included. I miss my fiance so much we haven't seen each other for 1 year and 2 months now. Since we're very young and my USC fiance is working his ### off, I didnt let him visit me to save enough money for our affidavit of support.. but that's okay, our love is getting stronger everyday. I was so thrilled to know that july interview is out only to find out we're not included yet Guess what? I saw a case number very close to mine, just 3 digits!! 3 $%#&^% 3 digits before mine!!! theirs ended with 89... and mine's 92! GRRRrrrr!!! stomp!! stomp!! stomp!! Anyway, I would just like to ask.. would it be a problem if my fiance only has 1 income tax return (year 2005)? You see, he lived his 21 years here in the Phils. and he went to states just last year. He is an american citizen by birth. If he makes $35-40k a year and only has 1 w2, would that be a problem for our AOS? I'm afraid that we will be on AR... Any advice? An interview date has already been assigned to me and that would be august 9, 2006. My packet was mailed last may 23 and if I don't receive it soon before my interview I will just proceed directly to St. Lukes for medical and get my packet there. Someone told me I need to have at least 30 handwritten letters from my fiance and vice versa or else I will fail my interview. The problem is, I don't receive his letters by mail but he receives mine. We talk everyday using MSN voice chats, voip, texts, phonecalls and emails, we even have pictures together as proofs. I have good news and bad news... for the good news, i received packet 4 already! 2 more steps to go, the medical and interview! woohooo! then i can be with my DJ already.... bad news is, my pc was struck by lightning last night... it wont switch on anymore... i think the videocard, processor or motherboard is affected *sulk* I'm using my sis' pc now... Most times that happens, it's the PC's power supply that is cooked, and not the actual components inside the PC. An easy (and relatively cheap) fix. finally got my PC fixed today!! you were right, i just bought a new power supply and thank God it still works! (that part is the hardest for me cause 5 months is sooo long ) The medical exam is a week before the date of your interview. But on my personal experience, we took it 3 weeks before the interview date and why? because just in case there is a problem then there would still be a time to fix things. It's hard to reschedule for an interview in the phils it takes about 1-3 months the least. I went with some asawa friends. For the medical, it's best to stay at the SORIENTE hotel, it's very near the st. lukes clinic and also very cheap and practical Around P1,345 per night. What we did is we all chipped in. Additional person is only P100. During the medical, we went there around 5 am. What to expect? chest x-ray, bp, physical exam (naked), blood test, urine test, vaccinations (on the 2nd day), the fee is $95.. she should pay in pesos depending on the current exchange rate. I paid around P5,035 that time. On the interview, i stayed at the BAyview Park hotel.. it costs around P3,370 i guess.. but believe me it's not practical and not even worth it because i am not contented with their service and amenities. My friends they stayed at Miramar hotel.. next to Bayview park hotel, which is only half the price. It's best if she stays there.. besides the waiting area where she will line up is just across Miramar hotel. So far the questions asked were the common ones.. it's really all bout you and how well she knows you and how long you have been together etc. The documents they will ask from her is her Appointment letter, I.D, 2 copies of her DS-156, 2 copies of DS-157 and DS-156k (best if you submit electronically filed copy with bar code), visa receipt which she will pay beforehand at BPI bank, birth certificate from NSO, NBI clearance original, pictures togther, affidavit of support (I-134, W2, recent ITR, Employer's letter and Bank letter). that's all i could remember though... AND HOW OLD IS YOUR FIANCE? ehem.. 22 (DOUBLE SHOCKED) AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN EACH OTHER? almost 4 years! "ohhhh......." -----> that's a good sign rIght there! He asked bout his job title and what company he worked for.. he said it sounds like a good job. "A plus " WHY DID YOUR FIANCE WENT BACK TO THE STATES IF HE LIVED ALL HIS LIFE IN THE PHILS? my answer: "because he's from there?" *TOINK* Mannnn, i felt like jessica simpson right there! How embarrassing His face was like this " " with a raised eyebrow hihi But then i told him that he needs to find a job and be stable to start building our future.. AM I WORKING AND HAVE I WORKED?
