Just talked with Sara in the Visa DOS whatever place, she said her systems are down, but if they logged that I was eligible for an appointment last week, then I will probably be given an appointment date in the beginning of December. She said they only give appointment dates at the beginning of every month... which sortof coincides with how we seem to see spurts of appointment dates all coming in at once. But she did say it was doubtful that I would get an appointment before Christmas.. cray5ol.gif

After some research, I found Oregon State taxes are 9% NON refundable... bastards...
But the amounts I wrote aren't just Oregon, its including Federal, Social Security, all sorts of ####### I'll probably never see...

i've had plenty of speeding fines & ran a red light once, none of them came up on my ploce clearance. I read some where that as long as it didnt' go to court it doesn't count so i'm pretty sure he'll be wont have a problem. If i can find where i read it i'll add the link.

Nigel just took the ACPO thing/police clearance to the interview, was honest about it, they wanted records, period. RFE'd us. Bunch of a-holes.


I was worried about him not being "honest" about it by not checking that he had anything on his record, and then having the ACPO thing show up saying there was something on it... but now I know that the info will match! Wierd thing though, he mails it 60 days after we received packet 3, on my mother's 60th birthday... that's got to be good luck for a fast interview! right? tongue_ss.gif

Would that really be a big offense there. Usually, here if you get a ticket for driving without insurance you pay the fine, and its cleared. Jeez...the minor things do they really add up. That is really not a criminal past and should be no relevance to your visa.

well, Riggs has an appointment with his GP on Nov 11th to get his immunizations. He still needs to call Knightsbridge to make an appointment after 11/11. One form is left to be completed for packet 3, plus having the medical date on the checklist...
I also have recently learned that once he gets here, we have 90 days to come up with $1,010. I had no clue... I wanted to cry. I can cover the cost to get him here, and pay for his K-1 visa, but once he gets here, I can't afford a wedding. I've got a co-worker that will marry us for free, we'll probably hike out to a waterfall somewhere. But I thought a wedding was all I had to come up with, now with the news of the $1,010, I feel lost. I'm trying to sell stuff on Craigslist. Its all up to fate once he gets here to whether or not he can stay... I've been stressing ever sinse.

AP is pretty common.
I hear they just pull a bunch of random petitions and do extra checks on them.
Not sure how "random" their process is, but hopefully you should get out of there in a week.

I was in AP... found out on Friday, then Monday I was approved, Tuesday sent to London. I think Additional Processing is just normal, Administrative Processing is what takes forever...(or what at least feels like forever...)

I like the idea of seeing the "Waiting for P4" because that shows who has actually mailed off P3... they're just waiting, and can't do anything in the mean time. P3, means that P3 needs to be sent off still, so the whole progress of the case is waiting on the beneficiary/petitioner, instead of waiting on the consulate. lol, makes me a bit more depressed, but still the truth.

I'm a real basket case today....such a bad day all around for me today...depressing ....I have to get a hobby or something....just very impatient..but you know, i signed up for it.......I knew what I was getting into...not quite sure if Nigel had quite the same idea, I think he may have, actually, it could be worse I suppose, we could be still waiting for the NOA2..this feels like it almost though. How long should we stay in AP before we start calling our congressmen? Because I'm sorta a new citizen I'm really not sure what guy to call or write to....i will give it 30 days...thats Sept 14th so i will go from there....

Last touch was 5-15, on the letter it's dated 5-12.... please please please let me be soon!! Riggs is just like Nigel with the whole, "lets not get too excited about things" and " I'll relax when I get through security at the airport, not before then!"... it will be so frustrating when he's not jumping up and down freaking out with me! I would file it... 6 months is so short a time when it comes to K1 processing, that by the time your fiance has the visa to get married, your 6 months are way over. You've even got another 3 months to get married. I doubt the K1 would be done and ready in less than 3 months.

This is some new info I found for you, for the state of Oklahoma;

REMARRIAGE AFTER DIVORCE;
It shall be unlawful for either party to an action for divorce whose former husband or wife is living to marry in this state a person other than the divorced spouse within six (6) months from date of decree of divorce granted in this state.


To me, that says you can't get married in THIS STATE (being Oklahoma)... not ANY State.

When I first applied for a divorce, there was a waiting period from requesting the divorce (signed by both parties) and then after the waiting period, I had to go into court, get a judge to finalize it. Once it was finalized and ruled in court, then you get a different form stating that the divorce is final with any name changes. This is the one you need for immigration. Once the divorce was final, that's it... you're free to marry anyone you please. (You can't even technically get engaged until you get that final decree of divorce)
