PhilippinesH0TELS in Manila
We stayed at mabini mansion, on our way out, and while it was not bad, I can't say I'd suggest it.

It was a little out of date, and all the rooms are smoking rooms, so if you're sensitive, yeah, it's bad.

The room was nice and big, and for the price we can't really complain. There was a kitchen, and utensils and such, but there are so many options for cheap grub nearby.

We don't think well be heading back there. It was not bad, just not for us.

We prefer hotel soriente ourselves.

Edit-
And soriente is just so much closer to st Luke's too.

We stayed at hotel soriente the past week. Price was good, P1,799. Was a nice large room, with a comfortable bed and clean cr. Not far from st Luke's, (can see the building out the window at the end of the hall), and a nice walk to robinsons, and lots of options for food nearby. Nice walking to the embassy too. And if you feel like walking to rizal park, that's a nice stroll if you're bored. Sm city Manila is also not too far away, and there is a dfa office in there if you need to get your passport renewed or issued, 5th floor, btw.

One small issue we had, we killed like 20 smallish roaches in our first room in like 20 mins, then we mentioned it to the front desk and they moved us. We still saw some in our new room, but not as many. Hope they spray the 4th floor.

Next time, we might try casa bocobo, or go back to city garden. Not sure yet.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHelp! My K-1 visa says Ready under IV section, but "No Status" under NIV section
It is officaly a non immigrants visa, but most embassys process it as an immigrant visa, thus the required medical, etc. so it shows up in the iv category. Its one of those special cases.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAnyone got his/her K-1 Visa approved after only one meeting in person with fiance(e)?
We were approved too. Met once, I took a month long vacation here in the Philippines, and sent like, 8 pics, a few from Manila, couple from Davao, boarding pass stubs, etc. And we put the packet together here together too.

Real relationship, good evidence, no worries. :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsdifferent signature

we never had any issues with the signitures and our k1 path got all the way to the embassy, before we changed course. now on the dcf path, that were almost done with, we have had no issues, and i admit that my(usc petitioner) signiture is never the same twice. not an issue, just be consistant on the papers in the process.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHole-punching documents in I-130 packet
With our i-129f packet, I punched everything with the two hole punch at the top. I had read that was a good way to go.
Had no issues, and the copies they sent my then fiancée looked like it was in a folder with everything punched at the top.

But if there is now some uncertainty, I'd go with the binder clips.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 Pasport
You must meet in person within two years. If you have not done that, he needs a passport first. If you have met, no need for passport yet. A copy of the BC is good to prove citizenship.

Aos, is needed at interview. And if he does not meet the requirements, yeah, he's gonna need a cosponsor.

Would prolly be worth it for him to try to be at the interview. Just my opinion.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAttorney or rapid visa services?
As mentioned. If you've got a straightforward case, and can fill out paperwork following the simple guides and suggestions you can find here, no need to pay someone else to fill out and send in the papers for you. Lots of cases in the past that ones used a lawyer and regretted it. Extra delays, high costs for basicly doing nothing, etc.
