I've just hit a wall emotionally. It's like I was the strong one through all of this for the first 4-5 months, and then about 2 weeks ago I just ran out of gas. Having a hard time staying positive, and I am so freaking sick of the uncertainty part of all of this. Hopefully that will be coming to an end with an interview date in the next couple weeks. New Brunswick actually borders on the east side off Maine, if that helps any 5 hrs to Bangor from here, 7 to Portland. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	I'm back, but at work I haven't been feeling too great, so no energy to type out how things went. If you're wondering why so many street details, I'm copy/pasting in the Canada forum after I'm done LOL! So i'll paraphrase for those who were waiting to hear Doctor Doane on Quinpool Rd in Halifax, Nova Scotia -Got to the Doctor's office 20 mins early on Thursday. He did height/weight, checked my eyes. -Asked for my pictures which he attached to the diffrent forms I would need to take to the hospital. -Went down a list of questions (all which I answered no to - he seemed pretty impressed for some reason LOL). -Looked at my immunization records ( only had my one from NB, but he didn't care)Told me the only shot I need is my Gardisil! WOOT! I thought I would need about 4 (I'll get my garidisil shot this week and my family Doctor will fax him proof that it had been given.) - Looked at my ears, nose and throat. Checked my heart beat, pulse and breathing -Told me to undress (receptionist came in the room) and stand up to check for flat footedness, hernias, external deformities. Then did the 'lower checks'. -Told me to dress again. Gave me my paperwork and instructions for the hospital. -Asked for his 210.00$ 190.00$ for the exam, 20.00$ for the courier cost. -Went to the hospital (Victoria General - Centennial Building) and to the office. Paid 82.00$ for the xray and blood work I needed done. They gave me a reciept and told me not to lose it - all the nurses in the various areas would need to see it. -Went up to X-ray (3rd floor Dickson Building) - waited an hour and a half *gag* just to get registered in. Had a very nice nurse. Went into X-ray where I waited another 30 mins. Got changed, and was called about10 mins after I changed. Two views of the chest are done. One straight on, the other on the side with arms above your head. I waited 10 mins after that to get the burnt CD results from the nurse. -Went down to blood collection services (1st floor Dickson Building). Waited about 20 minutes with another woman who was getting bloodwork for her Canadian papers Nurse was uber quick - one vial of blood for HIV test and another one (not sure what it was for). Since I had had chicken pox twice as a kid, I didn't need that test done (although I had had it done at home for be sure). If you haven't had it, or just had it once, the doctor will probably run that test as well. So, 4 1/2 hours and 300.00$ later, I was done. A lot of very friendly people through the day. Dr. Doane is very nice and quite professional. Staff at the VG were great So now I'm at work on night 2 of 6 this week (sigh). My friend's baby shower was today...it was so cute I miss Bo a lot, but I did hear back from Montreal after my 2nd email and they assured me that they recieved my petition and they have my 156K on file, so it will be there for me to sign when I go for my interview (I had sent it with my Pkt 3, and I wasn't suppoed to LOL). They gave no indication how long a wait it was going to be for an interview though. All they said was that once an interview date was available, I would recieve a letter in the mail. Each consulate is different in questions and length of interview, but mostly the questions will centre around your relationship with your SO - how you met, proof of the ongoing relationship etc. Don't be nervous I'm sure you'll do great. Emailed Montreal again today...maybe they'll reply this time *sigh* Lets hope eh? Thanks for the well wishes Kirk..I know that you guys will win this race, maybe it will be closer with the AOS. Going to Halifax tomorrow, Medical Thursday morning at 11:10....I just want to get it over with so I dont have to dwell on how much money it's costing... I'm hoping that ours doesn't start before November this year, althogh I've heard it's snowed out west already. I can't believe you're interview is this week!! I'm SO excited for you. I know it will go smoothly, and you have a great amount of proof I know you will have nor problems Steel - Bo was saying the weathers' been nice. I love fall, so i'm not complaining right now. I'ts so pretty here, all the leaves have changed and it's cool out - but the nice srisp cool that makes fall that much better. Congrats on the boys' accomplishments!! That is fantastic. I'm jelous of the sunroom you are going to build - I always said I would love to have one on my house I will write back to your PM today, sorry about not being on that much...boo work this week :S So I have shots this week, a wedding shower for my friend Kat, thanksgiving this weekend and a drink date with a friend. I know a few people in the APril thread had theirs held up at NVC as well (Kim and Russ). I am hoping that I can print out another DS-156K, but I want to wait and hear from Montreal. The person that did the review on here for Montreal said that MTL is very particular about using the forms they have sent, so I'll wait and see. Thanks Ana, I will let you know if I need the form! I'm nervous that I've forgotten things on my forms. I guess the worst they can do is RFE me....*sigh* I thought I would be confident after I sent that away...now I'm more stressed than before... ANyway I should go catch up on laundry...start looking at wedding stuff. Tell her though, while she's waiting for her P3 to order her "long birth certificate", which is the full one that you order from the province. It costs about 35-40$ and takes about a 7-10 business days to recieve Also, she can order her police check now too. I did it through my city police and it cost 30$. I go for some of my shots on the 8th, so I'll have to schedule my medical for after that. SHouldn't be a problem. Ana, that is fab you saw my dress in the magazine It's from the new fall collection, so I shouldn't be surprised I suppose. Its not an original by any means, but it looked so very nice on, and the price didn't make me want to vomit in the dressing room LOL. Don't worry, you'll get all your stuff done It just looks like a lot, it doesn't take as much time as it reads LOL. Its cool and rainy here and Hurricane Kyle is smacking into the maritimes as we speak So boo I watched a lot of football while I was down there...really loved it too I dont have favorites yet though, havent seen enough action to make a choice TG - congrats on your approval!! Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Can i use any other courier other than USPS to send the package?	USPS delivers mail next day, even on Saturdays and it is always signed for. Use express mail next day delivery guaranteed. I sent my package just before 5 pm and it was delivered by 10am the next day. They are also the only ones taht deliver to a PO box. They own those boxes. Cost about $16.25. Have you looked into the cost of using DHL or Fedex or UPS? I would use the gov't carrier if I were you and you can also track it online.
