Hello all.... havent posted in a few but I have been reading up on everything. :-)

1st of all Classy I think you must be a pretty smart lady for recognizing the loser in this guy before you went too far. My best friend came to visit me while I was living in St Lucia and fell for a guy - unfortunetly I don't think he is up to par and he is showing all the signs of a bad egg but she ingores them. I can only hope she comes to her senses.....

2nd ......... I got my NOA1 today and I am so #%@&^*% HAPPY! I know it is just the beginning but at least it has officially begun! Woohoo!
Now I have a very good reason to go out with the girls this weekend and celebrate! That and its pay day!! :-)

Have a great day all!!!

It's a GREAT FEELING!!!

GO IRIE...IT'S YOUR NOA1 DAY...GO IRIE!!

Gill, I just realize that you and I have a date in common. Ken dropped off his DS-230 at the embassy on 1/15/08 and Mike's DS-230 was received at NVC on that same day. Coincidence? mmmmmm

Bwoy ... Go Get Yuh Moddah

A boy and his father from Jamaica were visting America for the first time.

The first time they went to a mall, they were amazed by almost everything they saw,
but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slideback together again.

The boy asked, "Ah whahdat, daddy?" The father (having never seen an elevator) responded,
"Son, minevah see notting so inna mi life! Mi nuh know what it is!"

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a fat old lady in a wheelchair
rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled
between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the
small circular numbers above the walls light up sequentially.

They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light
in the reverse order. Finally the walls opened up again and a gorgeous, voluptuous 19-year-old
woman stepped out. The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman, says quietly to his son,

"Bwoy... Go get yuh moddah!"

Jamaican Gum

A Jamaican is having breakfast one morning; coffee,

croissant, bread, butter and jam when a Trini man,

chewing gum, sits down next to him.

The Jamaican ignores the Trini who, nevertheless,

starts a conversation:

Trini: "You Jamaican folk eat the whole bread??"

Jamaican: (in a bad mood): "Of course."

Trini: (after blowing a huge bubble) "We don't. In

Trinidad , we only eats what's inside. The crusts, we

collect in a container, recycle it, transform them
into

croissants and sell them to the Jamaicans."

The Trini has a smirk on his face. The Jamaican

listens in silence.

The Trini persists: "Do you eat jelly with the
bread??"

The Jamaican: "Of course."

Trini: (cracking his gum between his teeth and

chuckling). "We don't.

In Trinidad we eat fresh fruit for breakfast, then
we

put All the peels, seeds, and leftovers in
containers,

recycle them, transform them into jam, and sell the

jam to the Jamaicans."

The Jamaican then asks: "Do you have sex in
Trinidad ?"

Trini: "Why of course we do", the Trini says with a
big smirk.

Jamaican: "And what do you do with the condoms once
you've used them?"

Trini: "We throw them away, of course."

Jamaican: "We don't. In Jamaica , we put them in a

container, recycle them, melt them down into chewing

gum and sell them to Trinidad ."

Thank Gill;

I am not gonna try anymore to figure him out. Let him try to figure me out!!!! I also hope it works itself out because I know he is my life partner. I don't know and don't care what is going on in his head or life, because when I try to find out I get silence. He knows what I have to offer and that is a lot. unlike him, not much. All I need anyway is his unconditional love and understanding, because when I love I love unconditionally and he knows that. I am, right now, enjoying my life as it is.

God know best, and if it does not work itself out, I will understand and move on.

But I ain't gonna lie....JAMAICA WAS BLOODCLAAT AMAZING!!!! Rebel Salute was WONDERFUL!!!! We had a great time!

My trip further solidified my decision to file for Ken. He was equally amazing! I just feel blessed to have him (as he does me wink.gif )

Rebel Salute was CRAZY!!! We got there at 10pm and left at 10am the following morning. Jah Cure was AMAZING...he sounded exactly like he did on his album. Capelton, Taurus Riley, and Busy Signal got the crowd screaming! Definitely want to go back again. We went to a restaurant called 'Little Ochie", near Santa Cruz in St. Elizabeth. I would definately recommend it and Rebel Salute to everyone!

Saying good-bye wasn't the usual water works on my end,..because I knew I would be headed back relatively soon! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Guys;

I called NVC again tonight and I spoke to a very nice young lady who actually told me that the instruction packet (#3) was mailed out on 12/3 to the agent (me). I wonder how long mail takes from NH to NC. Standard first class mail should take 3-4 business days, but it has been 15 business days. I think they generate it one day and mail it way later than they say. Anyway, I think that is better than nothing. If Mike had only sentme his documents, I would try to use Jame's shortcuts and curcumvent the mail delay. Oh, well, I guess I still have to wait patiently. Heaven or Hell

St. Peter came to the Lord and said, "Lord, I have to talk to you. I
have a problem. I know we didn't have many Jamaicans in heaven so you
instituted an affirmative action plan and we are supposed to have 10,000
Jamaicans in heaven.

But they are causing so many problems! They have torn down the Pearly
Gates by swinging on them. They have let in another 10,000 of their bredrin
through the fence. They are constantly hanging out by the gate disturbing Angel
Gabriel begging for a "bly" for their baby mother, cousin, sistren,
neighbour, granny, auntie...

Whenever it is their turn to watch the gates they keep letting in heavy,
good looking women.

They have stolen my harp. They have gotten jerk sauce all over their
white robes.

Drum pan chicken is being sold all over the Streets of Gold.
Some are walking around with only one wing because they are "STYLING".
Angels must have two wings to fly! Some of them have put on chrome wings
and are dazzling the other angels when they are flying.

The white robes are eternal and must be washed five times a day. Some
haven't washed their robes since they arrived because they didn't come
to heaven to "slave".

Some have refused to take their turn in helping keep the Stairway to
Heaven clean because "dem ah no helper". Many who came here because they used
salt are still using it because they don't like "ital" food. Some refuse to
wear their halos because "it will mess up their hairdo".

Some are wearing it backways. Others are wearing it with the tags still
attached to them. Others have discarded the white halos and are wearing
gold ones instead, they claim these are "bashy".

Most of the women have discarded their white robes and are wearing
"batty riders" claiming that they have pretty skin and want to show off their
"bandylegs" Reggae music is blasted at all hours of the night, Their
cellular phones are worn on their robes and keeps ringing during prayers.
Recently there was an altercation between Adam and one Jamaican who claims he
was only "checking out" Eve.

They have planted ganja in the Garden of Eden since the soil is so
fertile claiming "man and man haffi hustle" What should I do?!" The Lord said,
"It wouldn't be fair to not let Jamaicans in heaven. They have just as much
right to be here as other nationalities.

Maybe we just don't know how to deal with them and are using the wrong
approach. Lets check with someone who has more experience dealing with
them. Let's call the Devil.

The Devil answered the phone and said,"Hello, Lord. What can I do for
you?" The Lord said, "We have a problem up here, and we'd like to talk to you
about it."

The Devil said, "Just a minute, I've got to put you on hold. "The Devil
was gone five minutes. He came back to the phone and said,
"OK Lord, I'm back. What's up?"

The Lord said, I would like to talk to you about a problem up here."
Again the Devil excused himself and put the Lord on hold. for fifteen minutes
this time. Finally, the Devil came back to the phone and said,"Lord, I am
really sorry, but I can't talk to you right now. I have to go.

These Jamaicans down here..... I don't know where they found water, but
they have put out the fire and yesterday they even had air conditioning
installed saying "man come yah fe chill'.

Whoiiaaaaa laughing.gif laughing.gif laughing.gif laughing.gif laughing.gif Those Jamaicans bwoy.

Thanks you guys, I'm home now. A piece a sitt'n happen to me this mawning- not sure of all the spelling in Patois, never actually wrote it. So i took a cab there and i was on time. I went through security check and proceed to front desk area. The gentleman said "please sign your name on the back of passport pix a take out your birth cert. Mi dear, mi almost drop down, the BC i had in my documents for three months belong to my niece. #######. is a good ting mi eye water nuh easy fi come. I had to call my mother and told her to charter a cab and take it to the embassy for me. I was out side walking up and down like a mad woman. Two very nice policemen came to where i was pacing back and forth to find out if i was ok. I was calling every 15 mins to see how far they where, it takes one hour from ST. Thomas to Kingston and that was what saved me today. Mother came at ten o'clock and i went back inside. The nice gentleman at the desk took my documents and separated them for me. I then went and sat in section A. My number was called and i went up to the window. our conversation went like this. "Passport please" said the lady at the window. "Have you ever been married" never been married i answered. who is filing for you, Omar T.....r. Has he ever been married, yes. Do you have death or divorce cert. NO i don't have HIS D/C. all this time she was flinging my Passport and other papers in the the pocket on the counter for me to to take up. She was mad with attitude. At the section B i took finger prints and was interviewed by a Counselor in training at section C. She asked how i met Omar, how often we talk to each other, When he got divorced if we grew up together and when he migrated. She then said i should tell her about myself and Omar, i was brief. then she told me not to make any travel arrangements because it can take up to three weeks before i get the visa. She wish me Happy holidays and good luck with my marriage. I said thank you and left. They didn't ask for proof of a relationship, nothing like that. I had my phone records with some calls that goes up to 244mins in one call. Not sure if i'll get my passport before the new year. But 2008 will see me in Orlando.

Congrats KJ; me proud a yuh mi gyal. May the blessing from above continue to shine on you. kicking.gif kicking.gif

For those of you who like playing dominoes, or maybe for your SO's, check out this site www.jamdom.com

I swear, Aaron is addicted to playing dominoes online. He is usually found in Yahoo dominoes, all day and night. I just told him about the site and I am sure he will be checking it out soon enough.
Good looking out JaEnglishGirl good.gif

He`ll love it - it`s Jamaican
style rather than western style!

Soooooo...what did everyone buy their SO for Xmas??

My SO is in Ja. Do you all think I should get hime something for Xmas and give it to him when he comes in a couple of months? Maybe I'll buy him some clothes and I know he likes scrabble, so I might get him that too. Waht do you all think?

Hey guys;

Just wanted to touch base with you all. I finaly received that letter from NVC stating that they are missing the IV fee bill. Just got off the phone with an operator who told me that they received and processed the fee on 11/28 and to disregard the letter previously sent. I am so happy that that is taken care of. Just waiting for them to generate the DS-230 and waiting for Mike to sent me the documents to send to them. dancin5hr.gif dancin5hr.gif dancin5hr.gif dancin5hr.gif

I mostly buy Ja stuff at the Spanish supermarket "Compare" and a Phillipino store I found here in Raleigh. I don't cook too much Ja food. I only do it sometimes and am not really crazy about it anymore. I eat all I can when I go home to Ja. I have adapted to just cooking and eating stuff the American way with some Ja flair jest.gif jest.gif jest.gif

Good morning all;

I mailed off the IV fee bill and it was delivered to NVC and Mike's dad sent in the I-864 and USPS showed that it was delivered but After checking the system every night I never received any message that it was received nor entered into the system.

Last night I called again and received the following message. What does that mean? We never submitted any documents except the IV bill and AOS.

NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found info missing or incomplete. NVC mailed a letter on 11/29/2007 indicating what doc missing or incomplete. Please return the missing info to the NVC in and allow 6-8 weeks for review and you will be notified of the results????? helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif

Hello All;

Good morning and this glorious Thanksgiving day. I am currently at work but am very greatful to the almighty that he has blessed me with the strength and the opportunity to have a job to go to. My family is making dinner and all co-workers brought in Thanksgiving food to feast at work.

I am thankful for health and strength and daily food and that he has helped me be able to provide for my family as a single parent. I also want to thank him for bringing Mike into my life. Hopefully we will be spending the next and every other Thanksgiving together. blush.gif blush.gif

What are you guys/gals thankful for?

I hope you all have a wonderful day and that your time with family be rewarding. For those waiting for their SO, just give thanks that they are in your lives. dancin5hr.gif dancin5hr.gif

Hey y'all

Thanks to Yardie for starting part #5. good.gif good.gif You sure are smart. jest.gif jest.gif jest.gif

We sure can talk. In regards to the previously asked question (though not directed at me), Mike is a gentleman by all means. Yeah, I take him things and he accepts them and is very greatful, but he has never asked me for anything. I sent him money once and he was like, "What is this for?". I told him to do whatever he wanted to do with it. When I went ot Ja last month, he drew the money our of the bank and handed it to me. It brought tears to my eyes. I gave it back to him and we spent it together on ourselves. When I was leaving he went out and shopped for things for me to bring back home. I told him he did not have to do that and he said, "you bring things for me that I did not ask for, so why can't I give you something to bring back home?" I am paying his Visa fee because I want to. He does not know that I am. I told his father I wanted to and he told me it was okay with him. I plan to send whatever I can to help him with the expenses he will be incurring. I consider this a small investment for someone who I want to spend the rest of my life with. dancin5hr.gif dancin5hr.gif dancin5hr.gif dancin5hr.gif

Mike lost his job after Dean and I sent him money too to help him out without him asking! I think that was okay in my book good.gif good.gif
