K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	hmm...no Montreal is one of the busiest embassies...only Montreal and vancouver do all of Canada for Fiancee and marriage visas :S I am just guestimating: get my NOA2 by the middle of August one week to NVC 2 weeks at NVC one week to Montreal 86 days till my interview... one week till I get the Visa in the mail (Montreal mails all their K's out, unlike Vancouver where you can get it same-day ) So it's looking like November I think? If I could get there by October I'd be the happiest person! lol I know it's coming, and I hope to be pleasently surprised, but I try to stay realistic as well. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	I was hoping to be down before Christmas, but I'm not sure how likely that will be now..the average wait at Montreal has gone down, but it's still about 86 days :S Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and I wasn't able to be with him last year, so I'm still hoping on this year. I had a really bad day yesterday...I just outta the blue got really frusterated with the slowness of things and broke down. So exciting to hear that an April filer got approved I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Canada Day and make everyone an honorary Canadian I <3 my country a lot, and amazingly after a full week of cool, rainy weather, the sun is out and it's a true summer's day (even though I'm stuck inside at work for 12 hrs). Maybe this is a sign July will be a good month I'm happy to hear that many people recieved touches, and even for those of you who didn't, touches aren't really any indication of anything, and as the old addage goes "no news is good news". I'm entirely too positive today lol I'm excited because I get to travel tomorrow to see the rest of my family and *possibly* look at wedding dresses if I have time 18 days until I get to see Bo again as well...I'm just glad things are going well... <3 to all, I hope that everyone is doing alright, even in the blah-ish weather! I'm feel pretty good today, it's starting to get quite warm here though, so sleeping to prep for my 12 hour backshifts is getting a bit harder ( I hate being too warm when I sleep). William_Wallace: I am so jealous that you saw Mel Gibson...and in '95...he would have been pretty prime I was a young'un then, so it wouldn't have mattered anyway though *I still thought he was a dreamy thing though * The Sex and the City movie was fabulous We had a girls' night out the first night it opened. 6 of us went together, and we waited in the line for an hour and a half to get prime seats. I might live in a small city, but every girl and woman here was trying to see that movie first night lol I adore the shoes on the movie, but have given up wishing for them for my self. I have pretty big ol' feet and they wouldn't be getting crammed into some of those lovely shoes Bo said to say hi to everyone! He's in Minnisoda for training for his new promotion. He's there all week, so we will have to limit it to evening calls. He missed hsi first day today though because his flight was grounded for 6 hours last night due to weather. He was not a happy camper, but he'll live. I've had mixed emotions about progress this week.. My adjudication date on my VJ timeline has moved back from around july 31 and now it's saying Aug 4 as the earliest, but on the other hand, we went from 151 on Igor's list to 138! so I'm still feeling positive..also the wait times in Montreal *the VJ average* has went from 116 days to 104 I think? so also good! My countdown is more on for my trip 26 days till I get to go back to NC to spend 2 weeks with Bo in our new apartment! YAY! Thats horrible - 500.00$ for me here and I don't have health insurance to help cover the costs of my prescriptions They have such great timing...my hours have been cut back severly and most likely will not improve in the coming months...wonder what tree will be nice and grow me all that extra money? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	Hey all Ana: Thanks...I know it's still a faster process than some have to go through, and I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that things will speed up a bit. I am getting ready for my trip - 32 days I'm trying to stash some money away so I can buy some things for the apartment when I'm down there Work has gotten a bit busier and I have friends coming home for visits soon, so hopefully the next month will pass quickly. Bo is going to Minnisoda next week for a week of training for his promotion position, so a little less contact for a couple days, but the training will pass his time quickly as well How is your business trip going Ana? Shiri: Where are you from? I wish I was able to be processed through Vancouver, but I'm on the East Coast, so Montreal it is...from what I've read on the forums here though, the people in Montreal are really great, so I don't think I'll be nervous at all going into my interview So I was thinking, we should do a random question every so often, to pass the time..so my question to you all is: What things will you miss about your home country after getting to the US? My list is as follows: Tim Horton's Coffee Canadian Beer Poutine! Hi to the new May filers on this thread too!! good to see us all sticking together! I'm really really hoping that VSC will fly though the rest of March and April's because its not the wait for the NOA2 I'm worried about now...it's the wait for the interview date in Montreal...right now their average is 116 days thats 4 months. One of the longest waits at an embassy. So thats what's driving me nuts right now. If I put all the dates together, my interview would be awfully close to Christmas, and gawd knows how many weeks they have for Holidays at the Embassy I was hoping to get down there by the fall...I guess I might have to change my plans Trying to keep my head up Hope everyone is doing well this week. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	Hey guys I'm alive lol...and so is Bo I think his roomate did get the a/c fixed, but i'm not sure how long it will last...he's counting down the day until he can get into our new apartment (July 1st is the move-in day). I think it's going to be a huge shock to the system to be down there in July for me..it gets warm here, but not as humid as it is down there! A/C in the apartment will be my friend for sure. I'm just looking forward to being there in the winter and NOT having 6-10 feet of snow on the ground for 5 months...I'm so not a winter person, and considering I'm Canadian, you would think i'dve dealt with it by now lol I was reading about POEs and I have been nervous too about getting stuck somewhere...so I've been paying a bit of extra money and driving to Halifax (nova Scotia - 4 hr drive and where I used to live) because they have US pre-clearance there I go through US customs in Canada, so, if for some reason they refuse me, I won't be stuck. It's a brand new part of the airport, it only opened 2 years ago. I think when I fly down on my visa, I will need to stop at immigration at the US airport, but customs will be taken care of. When I flew down in May, the Custom's officer asked me a ton of questions, and when he asked me if I was coming back, and I said yes, he said "because you know if you don't come back to Canada, you will really screw things up for you and your visa" - DUH! I don't know why he would think I would jeopardize a visa-in-progress I haven't even started looking at dresses yet..the nice stores for dresses are in the bigger cities, and with the price of gas lately, I haven't wanted to drive too far. I think I may look when I go down to NC in July. I'm getting something simple for the first wedding, and I'll wait a bit to pick out my dream dress for the ceremony back in Canada I really really really hope they are quick with teh NOA2's for us...you guys seem to have fairly quick embassies, but it's looking like the wait time for Montreal is about 2-3 months I just keep hoping and wishing, and keeping my fingers crossed as often as I can! <3 Jen	Jenni and Bo	Female	Canada	2008-06-14 13:43:00

It's good to see everyone still happy and patiently waiting No news from our end, although, they do say "no news is good news" - so I'm hoping VSC is just gonna plow through a bunch at a time The weather is really starting to get gorgeous here Poor Bo though - it's been between 38-45 celcius (high 90's, 100's F) all week down there, and him with a broken A/C my poor hot baby LOL I went to a good friend of mines' wedding on Saturday and it was so beautiful! I was reading people not recieving touches, and I don't think it's too much to worry about...A lot of filers from earlier in the year weren't getting touches before their NOA2's were issued, so I don't think we should be too worried. On a happy note, I just wanted to say that I found out at work yesterday I have two weeks off in July (because of scheduling), so as much as that is not good for the financial side of things, I get to spend two weeks with Bo in July, in our new apartment I'm very excited because I had been pretty down after I returned from my last trip to know I wouldn't see him this month (yes, I am spoiled that i have seen him so often, I'm not trying to rub it in people's faces) So I'm going to start decorating and enjoy a vacay away from work for a bit...hopefully by that time, some of usMay filers may even be getting some very welcome news! Bo lives quite close to the University campus and the Cary city limits, and actually from our apartment, you can see one of the campuses behind us. It's a beautiful city, and it reminds me a lot of Halifax (which is where I am from), so adaptation won't be as stressful It's so WARM so early down there though! LOL when I went down to visit in February, they were having the same temperatures as we are having right now We had an extremely long winter - something I will NOT miss at all I'm so glad to hear that almost everyone has had their cheque cashed now! I'm glad to hear everyone is finally getting all their NOA1's in We actually had a touch as well on our application on the 19th, so that was promising, and now Bo checks the website everyday lol. I just got back on Sunday from a week with him and we picked out an apartment So next visit down I'll be able to stay in our very first place together...I was so emotional LOL me, right here? BABY! I had the same thoughts last week and I was sure that something had happened, but we sent out I129F on May 5, and it got there the 6th, but P Novak didn't walk it down from the mailing room till the 7th Our cheque was cashed on Saturday (may 17th) and from the fliling number stamped on the back of it *my fiance has digital online scans of his cheques* we found out that we got out NOA1 on the 14th, but we didnt get it in the mail until yesterday (19th). We also got our first touch yesterday (19th) so I promise just wait a couple days and you should have your stuff!!! Tonight I was notified of case update via text and email, when I logged on I saw the following: On July 1, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) And I was in the Post decision Activity Category!
