Iknow the website can be unreliable though. We got one dates Sept 8 saying they have our petition (got it Friday the 5th I think) and will be forwarding it to Montreal this week. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	Ryan, that was a wonderful response It is important to keep everything in perspective through the wait, and I think personally, Bo and I have learned how to communicate so well through the distance, that it will keep our relationship strong for a long time. I've been lucky that most of my very close friends have been understanding. I do have some friends that I go "umm, you think you can get married and you never lived together?" or "Kinda fast to get married to someone you don't know eh?" Like I said, as long as the IMPORTANT people in your life understand, other people's opinions and preconceived notions do not matter - you don't need negative people like that in your life anyway Hope everyone is well today!! I had an eventless flight down yesterday, but I'm glad for Visa Journey - the Customs officer looked at my ties to home I have a suspicion that Montreal slows down coming onto Christmas, so it looks like we're going to be look at me getting my interview January-ish, and a Feb or March wedding...not really the fall wedding I was hoping for, but I'll get what I can take. We're going to call NVC on Friday to see when they got the petition and when it is leaving for Montreal. I really do think that their OT is going to start showing with May approvals and Dairy, I think CSC will soon be right up there with VSC. I didn't open my wine bottle yet, but I will be saving a drink for each of May's approvals I ordered my Birth certificate today and I will be getting my shots and police check when I return from my trip. From the other CDN timelines, I still have months to go anyway. It looks like about one month average for Montreal to send Bo packet 3, and then at least a month before we get an interview date from when they get the last packet back. It's still looking like after Christmas, so although I may be early to get my approval, I think most of you will have your visa before I get my interview lol I feel a lot better though...this was the biggest weight off my shoulders and it seems more real now. I think I will be able to better pass my time now. I will still be here for all you though! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	Well after a VERY bad day on wednesday, I've been trying to get positive... Mom and I went and looked at wedding dresses today..I have fallen in love with an italian one, but it's 1200$, and I'm broke LOL. It's a local shop though, so if I go back and want it, the owner will work out a payment plan with me. If someone can tell me how to post pics, I will post it for opinions? We're not sure where we are going to get married. because Montreal is SLOW AS HELL, I'm figuring the earliest we will have the wedding will be January. His grandparents live right on the beach in Wilmington, so that is an option, although weather makes me nervous. His parents also have a nice chunk of land right on a lake, so that may be it Kids...LOL it's funny, because I always said I wouldn't have kids, but with Bo, I've been thinking about it more. I would like to have one of each, but not at the same time (twins run in my family - my younger brother and sister are twins). I'm hoping the twin thing skips this generation LOL To Nich, Kim and Alex - You guys are so very positive! I look forward to reading when you guys post because at least I know I will feel a bit better To all of us - as hard as it is, and as negitive as I have been, I know we are all strong enough to get through this. I went to get my Titers test (blood test) to see what I have immunities to, and what shots I'll need to get for my medical. I saw that someone with the same NOA1 date as us was approved. I'm assuming we're in a different box :S I have been driving myself crazy with checking on here and the USCIS website, so you may not see me around as much. I'm trying to get excited about going down to NC on the 8th instead of making myself sick over trying to figure out if I'm gonna get down there before Christmas I'm sure i'll post while I'm down there though - Bo will be working a lot while I'm there this trip. I'll keep checking on here to see if you all get approved though! I just know we have an RFE coming, which will hold up the petition, and I just want them to send it and get it done with That and Montreal is SOOO SLOWW! Steelman: LMAO...I can't WAIT to see the freakout over an inch of snow...I'm gonna be out running around in shorts, laughing at everyone...I won't be bringing any with me, dont worry...we usually dont' see it until the end of November anyway. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	hey all, My thoughts are with you all with loved ones in Florida, although it's not looking as severe as it could have been, I'm sure things will be alright Alex Dairy: I'm sorry you haven't moved on Igor's, but I was completely serious when I said before that CSC is going to catch up to VSC soon...they have slowed down so much Gordon: I'm glad to have read that Lara is doing a bit better. I was in a car accident two years ago, and although I wasn't too bad with outer physical injury, I had a major concussion, which was my 6th head injury (gotta love High School Rugby), which cost me a decent chunk of my short-term memory :S...the process of recovery isn't very fun, but I'm so happy to hear she is doing better all the time. It's rained 29 of the last 32 days here...not very nice at all. We didn't seem to have much of a summer, so I'm hoping we have a nice autumn (it's my favorite). We have gorgeous falls, so I'm excited...and I really hope that I can be down in the states before I have to start looking at foot upon foot of snow Last winter we had 10+ ft of snow on the ground for 6 months *gag*...Can you tell I'm not a winter person?? Kim - as for the quote you posted from Ryan, if you glance at their timeline, Chantel was denied entry back in January. The CO told her she could not go back to the States until her K1 was approved! It was only her third trip. Ryan - Has she tried to go again at all? I wonder if she is flagged or if it was just an empty threat? If she took enough proof to ties with her, they might let her through? I know my file folder has about 15 pieces of ties-to-Canada evidence! Ana - Have a fantastic visit with your love! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	I'm here! Unfortunately I haven't been in much of a writing mood lately. I've been going up and down emotionally the last couple weeks. I realized, after following the April filers, that we will be getting an RFE before our approval. We forgot to check the same box as Suzy did, so that really got me down. I know it's not a big thing, but just to expect and RFE after we had been so careful just....sucks :S But, on a happier note, I received my schedule for work up until the 21st of December. I have 2 1/2 weeks off in September that I am going down to NC to spend with him. I love spending the time, but it's hard at the same time that my hours have been cut back so much at work When I get back I have to try and and find a 2nd job, which is not the easiest thing, as I'm in a shite little town and there isn't much work. So I just have to watch my pennies. Bo's mother actually bought my plane ticket for this trip, which was entirely too nice of her. I'm going to have to give her a huge hug for that! It will probably be my last trip before Christmas though. He would like me to go down for Christmas, but I don't know if I will be able to get the time off or not - I doubt with the RFE that I will be down there before January now Trying to be positive, but I can't even try to plan parts of the wedding yet because we don't know where we're going to have it - depends on the time of the year. ARGH...It's just been a hard couple weeks. I'm not trying to be negative guys - I know I whine and rant a lot on here! I did get a gym membership, so I'm hoping to start doing that again regularily. When I'm active I'm happier lol so hopefully you all won't have to put up with my whining anymore! I'm glad to see everyone is alright I think we're so quiet on this thread because we're always in Aprils threat waiting to see them all get approved! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	Hey All! We are so quiet these days! I think a lot of us are watching April's thread so closely to hopefully see them all approved soon. I had an extremely bad day yesterday for no reason in particular. I was just frustrated and fed up. I keep checking the wait times for Montreal and it's not looking promising If I get there by Christmas I'll be lucky. I was hoping for a fall wedding (it's my favorite season), but I guess as long as I get tehre I'll be alright. I'm feeling a bit better today. I see how long others have had to wait, and I think that I am lucky, so I'm trying to be productive. I renewed my gym membership for 3 months, went and got groceries and made some appointments. I think I'm gonna try and get back on my health kick. I feel so much more positive when I'm trying to be healthy, rather than sit around and dwell on time. On a happier note, Bo bought me a laptop while I was down last week, and now we can video chat, which we werent able to do before. I find it makes it a bit easier to see him, rather than just hear him. I seem to cry more though LOL - but it's a happy cry! How is everyone? How are you all dealing with the wait? Seems as though they are adjudicating the filers from around Apr 21-ish right now, with a couple of lucky May filers as well...i think we will only be waiting a couple more weeks before we all start to see approvals. Greetings from the *entirely too* warm South I made it into the country alright on Saturday Had THE NICEST CO I had him back in April as well...I think he should always train them Bo is going to get our couch and loveseat now....it's 2nd hand, but we went to see them today and they are in great shape. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	Ohh a speed up in approvals?! that would be lovely! Right now, the wait in Montreal (according to VJ) is 65 days! It dropped from 118 a month ago...we'll see how long it lasts though :S William, that's not a too bad wait...6 weeks is enough time to get past the excitment and jitters and get your medical and stuff all ready. Ana: Bos move was tiring according to him. Just did it last night, after a 12 hr workday...Boy was he cranky! Understandable though. We're both just trying to get through the next couple days until I can get there. I told him I would make sure he knows how happy I am to have our place I'm glad to see everyone happy still...we're almost there guys! Decorating plans are going good..Bo has worked so much overtime in the last 3 weeks, that he's going to be able to take off one whole week I'm there, so we're going to get the livingroom set, curtains, sheets and stuff for the bathroom! I was going to take a bunch of stuff down, but I'm nervous to now because I read that someone went through customs and they took her aside to question her and checked her luggage to see if she was carrying anything that may have suggested she was going down for more than a visit. If they find a bunch of sheets and towels in my bag, they are NOT going to be impressed lol..so I may have to wait a bit longer i'm thinking that when he comes up here next, I'm going to send him back with an extra suitcase of things I know the feeling about approvals..it's frusterating to see so few this week....but just think, a month ago they were still processing march's and we were a month further away... <3 Jen	Jenni and Bo	Female	Canada	2008-07-11 17:24:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	hmm...no Montreal is one of the busiest embassies...only Montreal and vancouver do all of Canada for Fiancee and marriage visas :S I am just guestimating: get my NOA2 by the middle of August one week to NVC 2 weeks at NVC one week to Montreal 86 days till my interview... one week till I get the Visa in the mail (Montreal mails all their K's out, unlike Vancouver where you can get it same-day ) So it's looking like November I think? If I could get there by October I'd be the happiest person! lol I know it's coming, and I hope to be pleasently surprised, but I try to stay realistic as well.
