So does the group who are doing the weightloss agrees to do the weight watchers' plan? I have personally lost weight on that plan and wouldn't mind trying it again. Or are we going to do what we think will work for us individually? When is the offical start date that we are aiming for?

Thanks. I do not have physical therapy scheduled, but the doctor wants to start me with an external bone growth stimulator. My neck is very stiff...he gave me a muscle relaxer because I am having spasms down my back. I take the brace off periodically and rotate my neck slowly. Can you recommend a good sleep pillow/cushion?


I do not have a recommendation for a pillow but I can ask one of the PT people at my job. You need to have PT because whenever you have any injury/surgery to any bone/joint the bone/joint automatically starts fusing itself and it will limit movement to the affected area. It is good that you are doing some yourself but you need to talk to him about PT. You have to be proactive because some of these docs are only interested in the surgery but not the aftermath. When I had elbow surgery after it was broken, I had on an open cast and would take my arm out and so some small exercise to the joint and that is why right now I have full range of motion to that extremity. Please have him schedule you for PT ASAP or else you will not be able to fully rotate your neck and that could impete your ability to drive because your neck is so fused you won't be able to utilize your pheriperal vision when driving.

Just you and me here. I drove up to NYC from NC and bwoy, I tell you. I will never travel on a holiday like this again. I left home at 7am and did not get to my destination until 7pm. My other trips have lasted 7/12 to 8 hrs tops. The traffic was horrendous. When I parked the car and turned the engine off my body was vibrating like the car was still running..lol

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving and get to spent some much treasured time with family. My 2 sisters are here from Jamaica and my niece flew in today, so that's why I am here.

One thing that ran across my mind, after reading some of the posts about us wanting to lose weight, is that we could form our own support group for weight loss. We could all give suggestions about any diets that have worked and we could all go on that diet together and weigh in each week to track our progress.

Is that something you all would like to do. I have 50 lbs to loose.


Don't you all raise your hand at the same time and confuse me....lol

Suggestions?????
