Oh, Claire, I am sorry to hear that - My uncle did that - he had an esphogeal bleed - ended up 17 weeks in ICU and 7 surgeries =- but he pulled through and survived another year - it was like a gift, because we had a year of having my uncle back, and he got the time with his grandkids sober - Good to hear about your uncle, but this guy is on his last. I am giving hime some blood products now and he is bleeding so much I am almost afraid to go in the room. I feel so bad for hi mother though. All I can do is give her a hug. The flex Plan is the new name for the point system and now they have the Core plan that u eat certain foods untill u are comfortably full . You have to try and equal out half raw vegetables and cooked . No butter. U can stir fry ur veggies and cook them any other way but fry in oil or butter. After the 4th week u can incorperate chicken and fish. The first time i tried this I lost 20lbs in the 1st month. I broke down one day and ate a piece of fried chicken and then it was on . You still doing paper charting? Girl I feel u on the lazines thing..I wold rather have a defined diet to follow, but I guess if I want to do this weight loss, i have got to pull up my britches and get with the program. That holistic dr.'s diet sounds good. Is that all you have to do? Girl, since Mike has been here I think I have gained about 10lbs in addition to the 40 I wanted to lose. He is all sinewy and does not seem to gain an ounce even thought he eats twice or more than I do. I just finshed cooking some yam, dumplings and green plantains with cookup codfish. How do i expect to lose weight if I continue to eat like this. I need divine intervention right now. I walked up stairs to et my antibiotic and you should have heard me calling out to the almighty to help me stop feeling the way I do like i am losing my breath with every step I take up those stairs. I feel ya I decided to make a change when I thought someone was following me and breathing hard in the parking lot. I stopped and looked around and saw noone then i listened and it was me!!!!!!!! . My husband really got angry with me when I stopped eating what he cooked, he is all of 150lbs and I had almost doubled his weight. I am down to 222lbs at 5ft4 so still a big body girl. In 2009 I will see 199.9 soon come . You had me laughing out loud with this comment because I can relate. Good luck with that girl. I do not know where Autums winds drive is but if it is right off the I440, it should be good. you get so much space for your money down here. But if we were together and he cheated and had a child and i choose to forgive him, itsn't that my right? what's it to them? Just for the record we were only friends during the conception of the baby, we were together when she was born, but he and BM were over way before he even knew she was pregnant. Anyway, I am thinking about going to JA, but the better part of my brain is talking me out of it, expecially since I do not have a job and the ticket prices are crazy. But, its sucks just sitting around waiting to see what happens! A couple days later he told me it was because there were so many white people there and he felt like they were looking at him. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary so I think it was just his sensitivity to be around different colors. Off subject but one trip I had a little girl next to me about my daughter's age so I played games and colored with her the whole trip. Just before we landed in JA she started touching my leg, kind of like testing to see what white skin felt like. And Wakey....Tim McGraw IS sexy!! I totally get you on this IW. When my daughter was younger I took her to a movie theater in a predominantly white neighborhood on a Sat night after work. It took me 30 mins to find a parking space and when we got into the lobby, my daughter started shaking and when I asked her what was wrong, she told me that there were too many white people around and she was scared. This is a child that was born and grew up in Brooklyn. She asked me to take her to the Magic Johnson theater that was in a blck neighborhood. Sometimes when USC travel some people act like because they are USC they can go to some other place "small island" and behave however and not get any repercussions. And when they get arrested or the islanders react a certain way, they are in shock. Ever watch "locked up abroad"??? That show is really revealing. People do and behave a certain way abroad than they would at home. Bad news travels faster that wild fire and even the 10 greatest things about the island is not enough to overlook the 1 bad thing that is reported on the news. Bad news is sensationalized and that is what catches most people's attention. If the island is being profiled for the great attributes, we change the channel because there is not sentationalism in that story!!!!
