K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA 2 approved - Things I should know?	Questions Regarding the process After NOA2. So I know now that I have received my NOA2 that my case will go to the VSC and then forwarded down to the embassy down in Colombia, So here are my questions , and to quote Denzel Washington in the movie Philadelphia: “talk to me like I’m a 3 year old” 1- I found VisaJourney.com AFTER I sent in my original 129F, So no.. I did NOT make a copy of the entire package I sent them. Am I wrong to assume that my original binder with all my tabs and docs is what is actually forwarded to the embassy? 2- What should I prepare on my end here in the States? Do I need to FedEx anything down to My fiancée? 3- Am I wrong in assuming that that the next thing that should happen is my fiancée receiving a packet form the Consulate in Bogota? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Engagement Ring at U.S. Embassy Interview	Hello everyone, I'm wondering how important is it that my fiancee is wearing a engagement ring when she is at her K-1 Visa interview at the U.S. Embassy? Did you wear a engagement ring at your interview? If she does not wear a engagement ring, will that effect the decision of the consulate doing her interview? Hey Guys, I hate to sound ignorant here but here I go: My Girlfriend and I are in the k1 process (NOA1 received) she does not have a tourist visa but her Brother lives in the US (greencard) for the last 12 years. Can she actually come here to see him and me at the same time? he only lives 150 miles from me. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Expedite Granted!	Congrats on the expedite finally getting some attention and action. I think that if your case has been forwarded to the embassy, then your category might have been changed to F-3. This means that all your fee will be paid at the embassy level just like the K-1. Tracking the package to the embassy is not even beneficial right now because it will get there in at least 2 days. Even if you track it, you will still have to wait for them to enter it into the kingston embassy system and for them to mail out the package of instructions. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	I know all about having to pay a lot of money Alex!! 250-300 for medical 35 for police check 80 in gas tyo Halifax for my medical either gas or plane to montreal for my interview - probably between 300-500$ hotel for two nights in montreal - 180ish visa fee - 131 And I still havent bought Bo's wedding band or my freakin dress LOL!! I'll find it somehow though I'm not complaining really...I'd do anything to be here with him all the time I leave tomorrow Bo's papers from packet 3 should be arriving today or tomorrow from my dad. I think all I have to wait for tyo send my packet 3 back is my police check. He should have his forms back to me within the next week and a half. I'm excited and nervous. I'm scared I'm getting my hopes up for an early interview and we'll have to wait until January again. That one CDN poster than got their interview within 2 weeks of sending P3 back got me too excited and I have to come back to reality. baaahhhh...sometimes reality sucks LOL Eh Steel, I know you are busy, but I thought I'd tell you we finally got to the Ale House last night for drinks. Gordon, glad to hear the Embassy got your petition they are usually really quick with the address changes (they were with ours), so I wouldnt be too worried about it. Steel, how is the convention going? It was -1 (Celsius) at home the other day...>I dont want to leave LOL. I wore a dress to the mall today *sigh* Tarantula, your packet three should arrive soon, it doesn't take too long after the embassy receives your petition So we went to get my engagement ring checked today for the purpose of keeping the warranty valid. They said the stone was a bit loose, so they would send it away to get tightened (free under the warranty). But it will be out for a week, that means I have to go home without it! I feel so naked without my ring, it's throwing me off. I had to move my University ring to that hand so I wouldn't feel weird LOL. CO: when do you plan to move Me: (trying not to rollmy eyes) when I have the approved visa in my hand and am legally able to marry CO: Well...DOn't stay down there, you will screw things up for yourself Me: (biting my tongue) yes sir..... Ana, that is a very sweet thing to say. I think I'm hoping for your approval as much as I'm hoping for a fast interview! You've been more patient than me 10 times over! I can cook a turkey, lets just hope my first one for my husband will be the best Tarantula - I have half the stuff done on my end. My time-taker will be getting my medical interview and travelling for it. I wonder how much of a wait it will be? my police check should only take 3-5 days. Bo's stuff shouldnt take too long. I'm going to write him out a to-do list because I dont think the 1-134 will get here before I have to leave Thursday. I called home today to wish my Dad a happy 50th birthday, and they said there was a big package from the US Consulate in Montreal in the mail today They opened it, and it as my Packet 3 They are going to send Bo's I-134 in the mail Monday, and I will be getting my police check when I home and, hopefully, not having to wait to long to get into my medical (I have to travel to the next province to get it done ). If we can get everything done in the next 2 weeks, there is a possibility I could have my interview by November! I will accept it if I can't, but it's a nice thought LOL NVC totally lied about my packet being sent out on the 17th though. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	slight amount of hope gained today...looks like a CDN filer got their interview date 15 days after filing their packet 3 info..I'm not sure how likely that will be for me, but it's a small chance I could get here before my birthday in January I should be getting my packet three at the beginning of Oct, so I guess I'll wait and see Ana and Morre, hang in there! Maybe your adjudicator just is a little lazy tarantula - Keep us up to date about when you may get the interview! Gordon - Good to hear from you! You will be here soon enough, how long is the embassy wait? I dont think i'll get here for Christmas unfortunately...the wait times in Montreal are about 3 months, and I'm SURE they're gonna be way slower coming up onto Christmas. If nothing else, I will be home to see my friend have her baby at the beginning of December and another friend get married on the 30th or December. It would have been nice to be here with Bo for our birthdays (his is Jan 5th, mine is Jan 20th), but Im thinking it's gonna be Feb. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May filers	So, I did the DHL tracking trick and it looks like the petition left NVC yesterday by DHL and is on its way to the Consulate in Montreal from The DHL office In montreal as of 10:25am (it was the only one going to montreal on the list, so I'm assuming it's mine ) So yay! If it's in January like I predict it's going to be, that is nasty storm month, and having to travel all the way to Montreal is going to be a feat in it's own right I don't mind the rain...I love when it pours I would take that over a drizzely day anytime. At least it will be nice when i get home. Fall at home is gorgeous How is everyone today? Vermont was WAAAAY behind in their spousal visas, and CSC picked up extra staff to help get through them. K-1 petitions were not moved at all. QUOTE ~Jen Hi sweetie! How are things going with you?
