Canadanow I feel ill

Called Montreal just to make sure our appt was set and confirm before we book a hotel. THe first time I called a really nasty lady says that no record of appt being scheduled.
THen I called again 5 mins later and was told it is scheduled same date and time I was given on friday. I am just about to have a nervous breakdown. Is it scheduled or not?
Emailing them give no respones. Calling them just screws you up even more. I think I'm having a painc attack.

if i were you i would go ahead and book that hotel room and gooooooooooooooooooooo ;)

Middle East and North AfricaSending money via Western Union just got a little harder
well i dont like terrorists .. but being racist and discriminating people is wrong and unamerican. I believe in being careful and in national sercurity but family members trying to send money should be able to be done without any problems

Middle East and North AfricaEmbassy denail of visa

I've fallen victim to reactivity too many times on this board, and I'm not doing it again. I want to say level-headedly and calmly that these threads DO have the potential to remain beneficial to all those entering into and moving through this grueling process. However, the controversy is HUGE turn-off. I have gotten to the point where I almost always find myself hesitant to post ANYTHING but my daily drivel because of situations like this.

I remember many times even before I started this process that I was overwhelmed and confused. I'm not a lawyer, I never studied immigration law, I just followed the instructions and sent the paper, and did do some reading, ok a lot of reading, but until you're standing in it knee deep, it doesn't always make much sense. When Mohammed read his 221g to me I was devastated and extremely confused. You can go back and search that thread and see where I was flat out lost. Remember Mohammed went to the stupid consulate 3 TIMES for his "interview"? The first time he forgot his receipt, the second time the stupid woman behind the counter told him he was finished and would get his visa in 2 weeks and sent him home, the 3rd time he actually got an intervew. I don't think this is exactly "protocol" either. Also, the beneficiaries in the ME/NA are for the most part not familiar with American style bureaucracy. They have never had to deal with it. It's terribly confusing. Toss in a bit of a language barrier trying to relay heavily bureaucratic information back and forth between petitioner and beneficiary tempered with the high emotion and stress via lousy phone lines or internet connections... PEOPLE GET CONFUSED.

Facts are this... people come here for information and support. Such personal judgements, in my opinion. do not belong here. I think we need to start a "I feel b*tchy" thread and go there specifically for the purpose of raging and flaming about things we see on other posts and leave it THERE, not in a place where people are seeking information.

Just my 2 cents.

i am sorry that you are having such a tough time .. i will keep you in my prayers.. good luck to you and your fiance

well if she is lying so be it .. i really dont care ... shes the one who has to deal with it

Middle East and North AfricaIt is our Destiny......

hey yo sorry folks for my tardiness..

we lost power today from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. at night.. so I couldn't come online for the countdown.

so since me and yacine were already sweating to death at 9 am.. we thought it would be a good idea to go to the Societé Générale in Rouiba.. and then Yacine went to fill out some documents to apply to renew his passport..

Then we went to the big indoor shopping mall and I bought a couple khimar... browsed around... bought a gift for henia.. then we went shopping for food... ohhh man.. we went overboard lol

Came home at 2 pm.. no electricty.. rested.. took a cold manual shower.. started cooking for hachemi's arrival..

I chopped garlic, tomatoes, onions, red bell peppers, zucchini for a 14 egg omelete (yes there was 4 of us eating lol)... cut up apples to make fried cinnamon apples.. grated potatoes to make a cheesy potatoe casserole.. grated carrots and sliced cucumbers for a vinagrette salad.. chopped up strawberries and peaches for smoothies.. etc etc and the list goes on.. ok so that took like 3 hours of prep.. then brought everything upstairs to cook.. that was when hachemi came.. sent yacine to go buy some bread..

then when I brought dinner down I was really loud and bursted into the dining room and hachemi was praying... OOPS.. haha..

so I stuffed Yacine and Hachemi like little hogs in heaven... took a shower after (YES! finally running water).. and made coffee and cookies for hachemi... yeah... (SPOILED!) ::giggles::

I think there is still some cake leftover from the baby shower yesterday... from Yacine's neice.. gonna send some home with Hachemi.. speaking of yesterday, so many people passed by for the baby shower.. letting their kids run amok in front of our apartment.. unfortunately one decided to take a dump in front of our door (lovely).. Ok that's the play-by-play for Icey's day... Time for nighty night soon..

WOW SOUNDS LIKE YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT SPEAKING 3 LANGUAGES, ISLAM, COOKING, NURSING, ETC... BUT I AM SO GLAD TO HAVE RUNNING WATER AND ELECTRICITY WHENEVER I WANT... OH AND I KNOW HOW TO DO A SIT UP YOU KNOW TO KEEP IN GOOD SHAPE FOR MY FIANCE

Middle East and North AfricaHappy Friday Wishes !!!

Not to nitpick but people do (quote the bible or what have you) - maybe not in this forum but in others. .

Well I was talking about this forum because it's the one that I am most active in. No matter what religion it is I don't think it's appropriate to advertise it here. So yeah I was talking about this forum specifically as I am not familiar with any others really.

Sarah dont you dare feel alienated. Be proud of being a Christian......I sure am. Just because the man I love is a muslim doesnt mean I will ever lose faith in what I believe in. God loves you and dont have any doubt about that. The muslim women in here for the most part dont ever want you to feel alienated. There are a few i am sure that are not so nice, but, i know several muslim women that dont mean to alienate us just by their posts. muslims are our brothers and sisters in Christ even though they might not feel the same about Christ as we do. But one thing is certain we are all Gods children and that alone should make everyone feel good. By the way good luck in morocco... I have read some of your posts and you have been thru a rough time. Good luck to you and Hicham .. you are a cute couple

Muslim women in a christian country... maybe for most of us, this is the only interaction we have with other muslim women. I can't include myself, but I can think of a few off the top of my head who are many many miles away from any masjid ...

Being a christian in a muslim country is difficult just as being a muslim in a christian country is difficult..

besides.. on these boards I've been told to go read the book of matthew..

If I dont like to read something in a forum, I skip over it, just because someone else is christian or jewish or atheist and is proud, I dont feel alienated because of it..

Yeah maybe you should...........read the book of Matthew and among other things. Like why dont you tell the whole site about how you thought it ws cute to try to be a smartmouth cos i didnt know how to speak arabic and french and insulted me in front of my fiance. you dont impress me at all. just because i dont speak those languages and u can ? big deal i work 50 hours a week and go to school and provide for my family. so go fly a kite.
