K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Requirements to qualify as fiance's sponsor	ok here it goes... you only need to be 100% above the poverty guidlines for a non immigrant visa. you will want to meet 125% above the poverty guidelines because of when he gets here he will have to adjust status. also it goes by your household size which would include you him and if you have any children at all. if your children do not live with you they are still counted as your household because the government considers you financially responsible for them. hope this helps	samir_shannon	Female	Algeria	2006-08-02 16:30:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Another Document Question	I think popular opinion would say don't give USCIS more than they are requesting. The more extra "stuff" you include with your petition, the more cumbersome and difficult your file is to navigate. All you need to do at this point is prove that you met within the last two years (passport stamps, airline receipts/stubs, pictures, etc). USCIS probably doesn't even care if you're in love ..... they just need to be able to verify that you physically, personally, met in the last two years. The US Consulate in your fiance's country will be the ones who want to be sure that you are in love, and that the relationship is not fraudulant ..... that's when I would provide the phone bills, email correspondence, gift receipts, more photos, etc. i totally agree.. and you dont even have to include the front page of the phone bills.....just calls showing you are dialing his phone number.	samir_shannon	Female	Algeria	2006-09-04 14:08:00
